Firefly - Panama City Beach

A short trip to the coast following a great Iron Bowl Victory by Auburn. I found a couple of my favorite Panama City Beach restaurants closed for the Winter.
I use the Open Table Ap and found Firefly there. Made a reservation for my wife and I. We were immediately shown to our table and drink order taken. A few choices were suggested. I chose the stuffed filet. It was one of the best things I have eaten in my 70 plus years.
I highly recommend Firefly and Open Table.

The food and service was great. The waiter was very knowledgeable of the menu and he even recommended dishes and drinks for us. This is a great place to take your date for an anniversary or any occasion

The food was absolutely delicious! Got to try those Brussels sprouts!
Excellent service as well. Definitely coming back when visiting PCB.

This dining experience was outstanding. Patrick S. was our waiter and he was excellent. We had the pork shank and the pan seared scallops with the wedge salad and awesome crab topped Caesar salad in the Parmesan bowl. My only complaint is they tried to sit my husband and I by the kitchen however we asked for another table and were politely moved to another table.

Everything was Perfect as always

The atmosphere and food was wonderful. I had the filet mignon which could be cut with a butter knife - perfectly cooked. My husband ordered sushi and said it was some of the best ever...,including Hawaii.
Our severs were top notch. We would definitely go back.

Great ambiance, food and service. Steven my server was very welcoming and went out of his way to make sure my dining experience was exception. Highly recommend if you are looking for a pleasant, quality fine dining.

If you're looking for a great meal with professional service, Firefly is the place to go.
Not cheap, but you fully get what you pay for.

Loved the atmosphere of this place and everything about it!

This is my favorite restaurant in PCB and one of my favorite restaurants anywhere. There is literally not one thing on the menu that is average. Everything is wonderful from the ambiance to the waitstaff to the kitchen to the food. The she-crab soup is simply the best I’ve ever had. Wish I had the recipe! Scallops were sautéed to perfection. Filet mignon was so tender there was no need for a knife. The homemade pasta was amazing. Drinks and appetizers were excellent. We could not have asked for more attentive waitstaff. The Firefly experience rivals that of Nobu in my opinion. I wish I could eat here every day!

Great service and good. The she crab soup and steaks were awesome. My wife & I shared a blueberry bread pudding dessert that was great.

Good very good, worst service I have had at Firefly; but normally service is excellent.

Everything was absolutely excellent. We had crab cakes, the salmon, and the grouper and both had clean plates. Desserts she had the creme brûlée, and I had the key lime pie. The pie was good, not great, but the creme brûlée was fantastic. Definitely hoping for a return trip to Fire Fly on our next visit to PCB.

Food and ambience were great. Server was nice and did a great job explaining menu and answering my questions. We were there celebrating our wedding anniversary and it would have been nice had the server asked if we were celebrating something special, considering this is a 5 star quality restaurant. I mean sure we could have said “hey we’re celebrating our anniversary, could you offer us a beautiful complimentary desert to make us feel special?” And they might would have done that, but who wants to ask for a free desert. But cmon, most couples going to this type of restaurant are more than likely celebrating an anniversary or birthday, and will be spending $100 minimum, so the servers should be trained to ask what the special occasion is, and offer a complimentary desert. I saw many reviews with pictures of the most beautiful deserts with happy anniversary and happy birthday written on the plates...so I think we were expecting that kind of treatment. But anyway the food was great.

Also the chef walked around for a bit in our section and seemed to go to every table, except ours. Not sure why.

Firefly has a relaxing atmosphere - beautifully decorated. Wait staff are friendly and attentive. Would recommend this venue for any special occasion

We enjoyed the florida sunrise sushi, shrimp cocktail, she crab soup, ceasar salad, shrimp and grits, lamb chops and the bread and sauces. Very friendly staff

Nothing but good things to say about this place. Ambiance is still there, food is delicious, a bit on the pricey side, but you get excellent quality for the price. Even my extremely picky 3 year old loved it.

While visiting Panama City Beach, we made reservations at Firefly for dinner. The meal was outstanding and the service was attentive and took care of all of our needs. My wife ordered the beef medallions and she loved the dish. I had the grilled grouper and it was great. Great place!!!

This is a very nice restaurant compared to most others in the area. The menu looks great and the wine list is pretty strong. They are trying to be a high end restaurant and the food and wine support that...but it lacks in the service staff which isn’t very sophisticated and the overall experience. It’s probably a tough market for staff and they did fine serving but you can tell they lack the knowledge of what they’re serving. The main dining room had a huge artificial tree that hangs over the entire room with lights hanging down. A little cheesy but I’m not knocking it too much. The lighting was too bright so there was no ambiance. The music was good but more of what you expect at a casual bar...and very loud in the bathrooms. All in all a nice place and certainly much more higher end than most restaurants in the area...but certainly not a high end restaurant. I’m really not trying to be overly critical because it was good...just trying to level set.

We dined at Firefly on a Sunday evening after being in Panama City beach for the Ironman race that weekend. It was by far the best restaurant thecww ate at. The good was creative and very tasty, and we had a good bottle of wine for the price we paid. We will be back!

Have eaten here many times and it never disappoints. Food is outstanding, service and atmosphere is wonderful and the menu is really varied with lots to choose from. I always have the SheCrab soup as a starter, best E VER, and the sushi rolls are top notch. Plenty of entrees to choose from and all are delicious. They also have an Early Bird special that is a real value. Would highly recommend the Firefly to everyone.

Awesome! Food was outstanding

This dinner was to celebrate our 38th Anniversary. Our dinners were definitely above average. Great flavor but the She Crab soup was luke warm, the crab cakes were almost totally lump crab meat & delicious. Our other dinner - short ribs - perfectly cooked & superb flavor! We were wished Happy Anniversary by the one who seated us & our waitress who was very good.

Love this restaurant. Have been coming here whenever we visit this area for years and it never disappoints. The food is always so very delicious and presentation is lovely. Every facet of the experience is a delight. The excellent staff does their job like a well-oiled machine making this a relaxing and wonderful evening. I definitely recommend Firefly.

Firefly was a very pleasant experience, and one that, when shared with friends, is even more special. It was great for our anniversary, but when it is asked if it is a special occasion on Open Table, it would have been to have it acknowledged by the staff at the restaurant with a "little token". It doesn't have to be expensive (a nice piece of chocolate, or cookie), but would add an extra zing to the occasion that makes the person who did not make the reservation feel that something special was arranged for the event.

This is a great change of pace from most other area beach town restaurants. The food was delicious (she crab soup, Caesar salad, brown butter scallops), and the vibe was quiet and relaxed.

Outstanding food quality, the appetizers were great and the mains even better. Service was a little slow but well intentioned. For foodies there is no better choice in PCB than Firefly.

It was okay. Nothing special. It appeared in my Open Table app as an Italian restaurant but it wasn’t.

Fun but wish they had salt and pepper on the table

Ordered dinner and it was way too salty to eat. They remade my fish dish but when it came out my swordfish was still raw in the middle and I couldn’t eat it. Ruined my dinner since I didn’t get to eat dinner.

Very good food, service, and cleanliness. Pricy for strip mall location off the water. Sushi is a good value.

The grouper was unremarkable. Table located adjacent to wait staff entry/exit. Not a fan, Grand Marlin much preferrred.
