Superb creative farm to table food!
Service courteous and professional.
Definitely worth a visit!
Amazing place to dine for lunch!
The space was too dark; it was difficult to read the lightly printed menu. The food was unseasoned and we waited most of the meal for salt and pepper. The hosting team was gracious but we can't recommend anything but the roasted cauliflower.
I had been at Firefly before, and was looking forward to it. Part of the problem was the noise - and I know that just comes with the territory. But the food was not special. Service was very warm and efficient, so I really appreciated that.
We had a reservation; some of the party arrived late and our Table wasn’t ready (no explanation or apologies. It was obvious when the hostess was wandering around, no menus in hand, that she was looking for a place to seat us).
No refills on coffee or drinks offered. Realize it was busy but the service was off.
Very busy on Sunday morning. Great food. Reasonable price.
Excellent service and food. Wait staff was very personable.
From out of town and saw this recommended on a gluten free blog. The food was amazing. I can’t wait to come back.
The brunch menu was excellent! Just remember they stop service at 2:30pm & reopen at 5:30pm, so make your reservations appropriately. Stellar service & atmosphere too!
I had a good experience here, overall, but not great. I found the menu was lacking in vegetarian options. I tried octopus for the first time here, and while I was skeptical that I would like it, it was very well prepared. The scallops were tasty too, but for $30 I got 4 scallops and nothing on the side. Kind of ridiculous. There weren't great salad choices, either. Our waiter was attentive and had some suggestions for us. We were warmly greeted when we came in and departed, which is always nice.
Fun quick restaurant. Went for brunch, they have an a la carte menu. $3 dollar house mimosa and $4 house bloody mary. French toast was made on challah, came with berries and it was great. The BLT is massive and has a really good spicy tomato sauce. The place was busy and only 2 servers for brunch as it is a small establishment. I'd recommend a reservation or expect to wait.
Varied menu; very good food.
Service was sub par. Food too spicy. Nice atmosphere but that is about it. Way overpriced for what you get.
I would definitely recommend Firefly. It is at a great location in Dupont Circle and has a lovely ambiance. The food is unique and perfectly cooked and presented. Excellent service throughout the entire meal.
The service is great but the food not so much. I don't believe they cook any of the food and if they do I cant tell. The food taste like McDonalds or some kind of fast food that they warmed up. The drinks were ok but I would recommend ordering wine or beer.
We hate gf menus but they brought us bread wth gluten which was confusing. Good thing we asked! Otherwise phenominal
Service was great and the food arrived quickly and was just as ordered. Was near our hotel and returned multiple days as they beat hotel food.
Food was excellent as well as the service. Martin was excellent
First time trying this restaurant for brunch. A great place and very affordable. The food was fresh and great service!
It’s great for happy hour. Wine list is amazing. Food is a little overpriced but decent.
Loved it! Great for special occasions with family or friends.
Last dined at Firefly about 5-6 years ago, and it's even better than I remembered! My husband had the eggs benedict and the homemade biscuits were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. I had the Firefly Scramble which was a delightful scramble of tender eggs and fresh asparagus and grape tomatoes topped with delicate shredded cheese. The portions were large and so flavorful! Thank you, Firefly, for never having disappointed us!
Great food and great price for DC brunch!
Amazing food, good size portions, super attentive staff.
GREAT waiter! Lovely setting. The burger was perfect -- hurray, they know what medium rare means!
Great food, poor service.
Stopped in for lunch. Great staff and decor. Delicious food. Lack of parking a major hassle.
We had a party on 6 that got updated to a party of 10. They were so accommodating and were gracious enough to make adjustments at the last minute. The food was great everyone enjoyed their dish and the friendly atmosphere.
The food was delicious and well seasoned. Very nice list of wings and cocktails. Only negative was our seating, since the restaurant wasn't packed other seats were available but we (2 guests) were placed in the middle of larger groups.
The server was really nice and checked on us to see if we were okay very good food
Great service and a great brunch menu. Thoroughly recommend it.
We dined at Firefly while on our vacation to DC. We did a search and found they were kid friendly. The whole experience was amazing. My 8year old vegetarian son was pleased and loved the cookie they brought for him to decorate. My husband and I enjoyed the awesome menu and wine list. My husband was thrilled with the Port options. The hummus plate was delicious. The whole experience was amazing. Can not find one criticism.
Great meals, restaurant week menu has variety and great options. Enjoyed the meal.
I was here a little more than a year ago, and it was phenomenal then. It was even better the 2nd time around. The deviled eggs Were perfect, the scallops were outstanding, the drinks were well made, and I wish I could have sat for an hour before I had dessert. I was so full from dinner, and I ate my bread pudding anyway. Outstanding end to a vacation, I cannot wait to go here again. Even better it was restaurant week.
The hostess was very accommodating, when asked to move our reservation up by 15 minutes. However, once seated (5ppl) it took 15 minutes till we were able to put our order in. Once the orders were made multiple items listed on the Restaurant Week menu were not available and notified of the issue afterwards. The bread basket was missing butter and our waiter although seemed new was not attentive when taking orders or following up. People who were seated after us were served full meals before we got out desert. Took over an hour and a half of service.
By far the worst experience had at Firefly in many years.
Great service and excellent options for lunch, including restaurant week specials.
Mediocre gluten free options. Mediocre food. Desillutioned.
Menu was limited and difficult to remove cheese from brunch options. Hard to find healthy options. No one asked if we wanted coffee. Salad too salty. Staff was friendly and Bloody Mary tasted yummy.
I did not like the food. The options were scarce.
I’ve been to Firefly a few times and I’ve always been happy. The service was great. We decided to go here for brunch the day after we got married and the staff was so accommodating with our large group. The pancakes are a staple that will never disappoint and the Chilaquiles are AMAZING!
