Firefly American Bistro Ratings and Reviews
We celebrated our daughter's birthday here. We had never been before but the menu was so varied and delicious, everybody could find something that they liked. It was all delicious but one should not miss the GoGo bread (garlic bread with Gorgonzola cheese). I could have had that for my meal and been a satisfied customer. The server was pleasant and excellent, the atmosphere was enjoyable. My only suggestion would be to tint the windows onto the sidewalk. It was odd to make eye contact with passersby. I think, however, that we were at one of the few tables that this would affect and it certainly wouldn't keep me away from going again. Overall, a real treat.
My boyfriend and I got there around 7:20p and received our food at 8:20p. An hour later.. the waiter was great but it took forever for us to receive our food. I didn't like that because it was my boyfriends birthday and being our first there, I wasn't expecting the wait to be long especially when it wasn't busy that night.
The food at Firefly is always amazing. I love it. And the staff and service are very attentive and make sure their guests have a great experience. I love the atmosphere and the décor with it's exposed brick and modern eclectic features while showing off some of the history of Manchester. The menu is always changing and I love how it has influences of various parts of the country depending upon what has inspired the chef. With a farm-to-table approach I feel good about the fact that the food is sourced locally. I would highly recommend Firefly to anyone and know that they will have a great experience as I always do.
Dinner date with friends. Service was ok. Friendly but didn't add anything to our dining experience.
The food was just ok. My meal was the fillet and I asked for med rare and was served med well to well. Apologies from the waitress but everyone else had their meals while I waited for a new one. Second try on the steak was fine. My wife had the tuna and it was cooked well but lacked a lot of bold flavors.
We enjoyed yet another great evening at Firefly. We were pleased they were able to accommodate our request for our special booth. As always, the food was outstanding. Our waitress went above and beyond the call of duty to join in the spirit of fun as one of our diners was in the mood to joke with her a bit. We left the restaurant in a very jovial mood, all due to Nicole. She's a keeper.
I have been there multiple times with great to fantastic service, but unfortunately my last visit was not as good. The waitress seemed burdened by our presence and not personable, very robot like. We waited a very long time for liqueur drink refills (2 or 3) throughout our dinner and to pay our bill. The food was amazing as usual!!! It was my guests first visit and I was sad that their experience was not as good. I would suggest working on the staff.
Our girls night out group all found something on the menu, which was a challenge with our variety of dietary restrictions. We all enjoyed our meals and plan on returning soon. The staff and service was excellent and we did not feel rushed before heading to the theater.
Firefly Bistro has not disappointed us; we have held a graduation dinner, birthday dinner, and dinner for two here. The waitstaff has been excellent attentive, knowledgeable and very pleasant. The menu will satisfy everyone, great choices, the five spice pork and Murray's chicken are favorites. The specialty drinks are worth trying. The Elderflower was very refreshing.
We have enjoyed Firefly for a number of years and enjoy the experience especially on special occasions. Because we have always been very pleased with the service, food and ambiance we chose this for our 40th anniversary dinner and I made a reservation for dinner indicating it was out anniversary.
First if all they sat us in a booth, next to the bar which at first seemed ok but as the evening wore on it was noisy and although the waiter, who was also the bartender was attentive it was not as we were acustom .
I chose the skirt steak which was good but my husband chose fried fish which he found overly battered.
Since we enjoy each other we decided that we would overlook the situation and we recalled our years together as very happy.
Perhaps we will try it again but certainly will make our concerns known upon arrival.
Firefly continues to deliver even after 10 years of being part of the Manchester, NH restaurant scene. The menu features some New England standards like steak tips but also a wide variety of options from pork to chicken to seafood. The wine list is not extensive but well thought out along flavor profiles and bottles are reasonable priced. This is a "go to" spot for its reliable quality.
We went to Firefly American Bistro prior to a show at the SNHU Arena. There were 5 women in our group, I made a reservation through Open Table, and we were seated on time. Our waitress was friendly, professional, and was able to answer our questions about several of the menu items. She was also accommodating in making sure we were able to finish up with plenty of time to get over to our show. I thought the food was very good. My grilled chicken farfalle was tasty and I had plenty for leftovers. The others in our group also enjoyed their meals. We felt the pricing was reasonable and wish we had room for dessert! I will definitely go back.
This is one of the best spots in Manchester. The food is excellent as is the service. I had pan seared salmon with kale and pancetta ravioli-one of the best dishes I have had in recent memory-and then crème brulee (best in town) with coffee. This was a business lunch and the server, while attentive, did not insert herself in the conversation too much. I also support businesses with social consciousness, and management at Firefly has supported one of my pet interest nonprofits. In short, this is the whole-package.
Been to Firefly several times and it's consistently good. It's an attractive dining room with a separate bar area. We were there for dinner on a Friday night. The service was good, and the food was excellent. We will go back.
Delicious and flavorful dishes. Lamb was fall off the bone scrumptious! To my spinach and fried goat cheese salad I added on seared sea scallops which were cooked perfectly. I thought there would be a little more depth to the salad (ingredients/flavor) but was still enjoyable. My blood orange Manhattan is a favorite of mine and highly recommend. Service was just ok unfortunately. Took 10 or so minutes to be greeted. Not very personable so was a bit disappointed. Overall we enjoyed dining at Firefly and would recommend it as it is a personal favorite.
