Service and food was terrific. A great night out.
Just a great time.
Went for Sunday brunch and it was absolutely perfect. Had the Eggs Benedict with a side of absolutely perfect corned beef hash. Very busy, but with our reservation we were seated immediately. Service was impeccable and the breakfast was great
It was awesome. I asked for a quiet comfortable table and we got one of those quiet round booths in the corner. The food was great. Calamari app with the hotter sauce was delish as was everything. Drinks were perfect. Definitely heading back for date night again.
Great food, everything was cooked as ordered most imprortantly my medium rare steak came out that way.
My wife and I had an enjoyable dining experience at Firefly with some good friends recently. The martinis were perfect and my filet mignon was delicious. My wife and her friend enjoyed the salmon and my friend loved his cheeseburger. We have dined at Firefly many times and we have never been disappointed. The service was attentive and very personable, and we will return to Firefly's in the near future.
Food and service was excellent.
Food and service is always great
Food was excellent and service was great. Would recommend making a reservation, which we did for a Saturday night 6:00pm dinner. When we arrived there was a 2 hour wait but we were shown to our table right away.
I had a birthday dinner with my mother...we made reservations ahead of time and asked for a booth. We arrived 10 minutes early and our booth was ready. It was a nice cozy half moon booth in the art section of the restaurant that allowed for quiet conversation on a busy night prior to the theatre performance of Mama Mia. Tess, our service professional was amazing and greeted us enthusiastically and quickly. We had sea scallops with a garlic cream sauce and Salmon with a pesto sauce. Both were amazing. The walk from the restaurant to the theatre was only five minutes. Definitely make reservations as some who showed up had a 2 hour wait. A great value for the quality of food and hip atmosphere.
Good food - very noisy on Easter Sunday - make lamb a lamb chop please
Easter brunch was fabulous as always
They sat us quickly but then forgot about us. We finally had to flag someone down to take our order. Service was fine after that though.
Waitress, food and ambiance was great. Try the short run taquitos!
Our first visit, and I assure you it won't be our last. Close to The Palace Theatre, we went to a show following dinner. Parking was not an issue, we parked on the street but there is a parking garage. N.F
Took long time to get food. Felt a little closed in where our table was located
Great atmosphere, comfortable seating, TVs to watch sports near the bar, fully wheelchair accessible, great Gluten Free options (including english muffins / bagels / bread!!!!!), and a menu full of fresh food options.
We had ladies brunch and it was a blast! The food was phenomenal and the atmosphere was fantastic. Will definitely be back!
Saturday night was my second visit. I enjoyed the atmosphere and food every bit as much the second time as the first. I will return sooner this time.
Everything about Firefly is wonderful - Never had a bad experience. Love it here!
Great service every time! Food is delicious!
Sunday brunch was great! Delicious food with a "Cajun" take on some dishes--so savory! Subtle, flavorful cocktails! Definitely a "destination" dining venue!
Brunch was great. Eggs Benedict and Greek omelette were superb
Excellent, as always. The Firefly is a “must do” restaurant in Downtown Manchester. Our overall favorite restaurant in NH!
Had a great meal on St. Patrick’s Day. Noise level a bit high, but it was very busy so that’s to be expected. Jennifer, our server was very good, professional and attentive.
very crowded (St.Patricks Day - not intentional on our part). Appetizer & dessert (and wine) were excellent - entree was good/average. Service was outstanding. Fun night - would definitely go back.
Cute place, and cozy atmosphere. I ordered the Filet mignon, and it was literally the worst steak Ive been served. I asked for medium rare, got well done, it was sent back (waitress seemed put out) came back 15 min later well after my friends were finished eating and was still a very dry, over cooked awful piece of meat.
Waitress was very friendly. Food was great
Wow! What a find... totally booked this last minute based on good reviews on line. We drove from the Upper Valley in NH (1hour) and our friends drove from Newton MA in traffic (1 1/2 hours) to meet us so I was a little nervous. Pleasantly surprised to say the least with atmosphere, cuisine, and Jess... Jess is a gem!!! Only con is parking which is a challenge but it is most places you go in Manchester so no biggie. Will go again for sure!!!
Firefly is lunch option for us quite often especially for a larger group from our office. This visit was a birthday celebration so we went for Sunday brunch. What a tasty treat! Food was delicious and we weren't rushed out the door and were able to relax, catch up and have a nice time.
This has been a favorite for both me and my wife for five plus years! Always good food and pleasant atmosphere, with pleasant and assistive wait staff.
We had our usual fantastic dining experience. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. She catered to our every need. We also appreciated having our special booth reserved for us. Thank you!
It had been a long day of travel and we decided to eat at Firefly Bistro. I had been there before, however my daughter, who just returned from China, had not. She just wanted good American food. Firefly Bistro did not disappoint. We both got the filet mignon cooked medium rare. It was absolutely perfect. We also had the Go-Go Gorgonzola appetizer. It was to die for; it was so good. The hostess was incredibly accommodating. After a 20-hour day of traveling we requested a booth so that we could be comfortable. Even though the place was crowded, the hostess worked hard to find a booth for us. We had to wait a tiny bit but it was minimal. Our server was delightful. So, I couldn't say more positive things about this restaurant. Although it was my daughter's first time there, I've been there several times, even taking guests from other parts of the country. We have been very happy with the food and the service every single time. I highly recommend this restaurant.
We had a lovely time and will be back!
Always a great meal and service!
This was our first experience at Firefly's. Everything, from the soup (smoked seafood chowder) and salad (asparagus panzanella) through dessert was delicious. Great atmosphere and interesting menu choices.
Excellent food and service. We both had the smoked seafood chowder and it was heavenly. Lots of chunks of fish, shrimp, potatoes and carrots.
Kind of noisy -- a couple of large group tables who were celebrating.
I thought the bar area was a little loud. Everyone in my group except for myself loved the food. I had the fish and chips. The fish did not seem that fresh and the coating was way too heavy.
As always everything was great...
Food, Service, Atmosphere... AWESOME!!!
Incredibly noisy. There are absolutely no noise mitigating features on the brick walls. Whenever we come to Firefly, we try to dine early in order to have a shot at conversation. We had asked for a quiet seat and were told our reservation came in after they had set the reservation seating. We were offered a "take it or leave it" option to sit in an uncomfortable booth at the back of the bar or climb-to-dine seating (which we never choose) on the other side of the bar. The bar area itself was involved in a raucous birthday party that was in progress when we arrived and showed no sign of slowing down when we left. We were not offered seating in either of the dining rooms because those were allegedly all reserved. The hostess' attitude was appalling but Firefly is always busy so maybe they don't need to care. Since we had made a reservation, we didn't have a "Plan B" and settled for the uncomfortable booth in the back of the noisy bar area. There were several empty tables in the dining rooms when we came in and a few were empty when we left. So clearly, the hostess wasn't on her game.
Our waitress Amanda did everything in her power to make our dining experience a positive one; she was great. The food was great. The noise level and the way our reservation was handled by the hostess were very disappointing for a restaurant where high-dollar entrees populate the menu. We aren't likely to return any time soon, although this has been one of our "go-to" spots for years. There are plenty of spendy restaurants in Manchester that offer good food and good service with ambiance and customer service to match.
