Firefly American Bistro
Excellent, as always, when visitors wanted to eat "local," Firefly is the place.
Great little hideaway to share drink, good food and friendly interaction. A true bistro in every sense. Good staff, nice variety in the menu and a feel good atmosphere that follows you out the door.
Outstanding food and service at Firefly! Had the Caprese salad and the Caesar - both excellent. The chef even split the Caprese when we indicated we were sharing. The steak tips and the sirloin were superb - as was a sweet and sour pork stir fry. Cocktail list is amazing. Plenty of selections on the menu. Best part - the waitress overheard and saw my daughter opening birthday gifts at the table and put a candle in her dessert for us to sing Happy Birthday (without us mentioning it!). Just great customer service on her part. We'll be back soon!
I had only been once before for dinner and it was great. I decided to bring my parents for Mother's Day lunch but was not aware that Sundays they only do a brunch which meant a limited menu. When I booked my reservation, I selected lunch so I assumed we would be getting the lunch menu. In addition, the service was super slow; this is no reflection on our waitress who was great but more on the kitchen staff. Mother's Day is a busy day and I know the restaurant was busy but maybe they shouldn't take as many reservations if the kitchen staff can't keep up. We will certainly be back for a dinner with the dinner menu but probably won't go for brunch again.
It was a dinner to celebrate after an awards ceremony and even with a reservation we had to wait 15 mins for our table. Overall, it was a good, but not great experience.
The food, drinks, service, and ambiance were unbelievable! The only minor complaint I would have was the insanely loud large group at the bar area, but that was by no means the restaurant’s fault.
Service and most food was outstanding. I had risotto - it was a tad salty and bit "a la dente" for my taste. But the scallops and asparagus were perfect. Other diners in my party all enjoyed their meals.
good food as always. server rushed a little bit. drinks were very good.
Our waitress, Kali, is the best. We will ask for her at our next visit. Great food, service and ambiance.
A tasetful and fun night at Firefly.
Firefly has become one of my favorites in downtown Manchester. The ambiance, the staff, and the food of course are all amazing. It's perfect for lunch meetings for work or a date night out on the town. The wine menu is superb! I am looking forward to my next visit to Firefly very much.
Absolutely love Firefly!! Amazing every time from start to finish.
We had a lovely dinner here this past Saturday, after attending the afternoon show at The Palace Theater. The location was easily walkable from the theater, the setting very comfortable for the 4 of us and our waitress was terrific. I love a server who knows her menu & loves her job and she definitely did! Their menu has a nice selection of many different choices which is always nice when you're not sure what you'll be in the mood for. All 4 of our entrees were fantastic! We all loved our choices and said we would return whenever we got the chance. Even though our bread, salads & entrees filled us, we couldn't help ourselves & we ordered dessert to share. The carrot cake was outstanding, best I've ever had, the lemon cake was delicious also. We look forward to returning.
We've never had a bad meal at Firefly. It tends to be a noisy place but if that doesn't bother you it is worth going. They always have a table waiting when you make a reservation through opentable!
I love this restaurant! I go there often and always have a great time and a wonderful meal. I got the steak frites, medium rare and it was perfect!
Had a great time as always. Dinner was excellent and the service was excellent as well. The Vodka infused bacon Martini was to die for.!!
My wife and Ihad a wonderful evening prior to a show at the Palcace Theater. The food was fantastic, service was very good and the atmosphere was conducive to a romantic dinner.
Always a great place to eat and drink!
Food was good. I was told the restaurant featured more of a New Orleans type menu so I was a little disappointed but I have no complaints about the food or service.
As busy as it was, the service was excellent. I watched a large party of 16 people enter and the way the had the table set up without disturbing anyone was quite impressive. Would definitely go back.
Waitstaff always a pleasure! They tried to seat us way back in the bar-I made a reservation and did not appreciate a spot in the back of the bar so they gave us a booth-better. The drinks were awesome! We always come here for date night. Never disappointed.
We went to Firefly on a busy Friday night at the peak of their evening service. They still managed to put together an excellent meal, and our server Brandon was outstanding. We did have the unfortunate luck to be seated at a table next to the bar and adjacent to another table with 6 very loud customers. That was the only downside to the entire evening.
My mom and I went here for lunch and both got salads. The outside was nice and the service we had was great. The staff was really friendly. I never went inside because we were on the patio but overall had a great time.
Thoroughly enjoyable and delish food. Would definitely recommend to friends and family. Hope to be back there soon.
The service was timely,,, the food outstanding... and the atmosphere was awesome for an Easter dinner with family and friends! We had scallop and shrimp scampi, Pam seared scallops, and an eggplant dish... all were expertly prepared, beautifully plated, and delivered in a nice pace and flow! All enjoyed our evening out! One minor quibble ... wine selection was not quite up to par... some attention there would be advisable!
Excellent Easter Brunch. Delicious food around. Everyone went home very happy
Experienced a bit of a wait (15 minutes or so) , but that's to be expected for a busy Easter Sunday.
Our waitress was exceptional and the brunch menu had the wide variety of choices we were looking for while enjoying a casual holiday celebration. Enjoyed the creative twists to the beverage selection as well.
Thank-you for a lovely meal.
Hadn't been to FireFly for dinner in a while. We had a 5:45pm reservation - thankfully as the place was packed! All 4 of us enjoyed our dinners and drinks. Everything was yummy!
This is the third time I have dined at Firefly. Never disappoints. Recommended the stuffed haddock to my friend who has never dined there before. I had it the first time I was there and it was so good that I had a hard time not ordering it again. We also split the crab cake appetizers, which was good, but would have been better if they had more crab chunks. Our waitress Rania was OUTSTANDING. She may have been a newbie, but has such a great personality that you feel like you are dining with family. She was super attentive, but not intrusive and laughed along with us about a few things. One of them being that when she went to refill my iced tea, she refilled it with coffee by accident. We had a good laugh over that. If we go back for another girls night out, I will ask to be seated in her section. She was that good.
Firefly Amerian Bistro is always a good choice, for work or friends. The only downside is my cell phone does not to seem to work there. I am not sure that is a bad thing. Thank you once again for serving just what is expected, good food, fine atmosphere, and fair price. Thanks
Really good food, good service. The neighborhood can use some work. Outdoor seating has view of parking garage. Still worth it.
We have dined here several times, and really liked the restaurant. However, this time we had a very negative experience.
It was a Saturday “date night” with my wife. The first thing we noticed was a rather raucous crowd and noise level. We both remarked it was more like a TGI Friday’s than a finer dining restaurant.
But the real issue was the wine. The waitress was kind enough to provide a taste of a Pinot Noir my wife was considering. It was definitely corked. We mentioned that to her, and the manager came over, agreed, and said she would bring my wife something “special” she would like. I ordered the highest priced Cab on the menu by the glass. When we got them, my wife’s wine was a J. Lohr which had lost whatever body it ever had. My Cab was also very flat. In fact, both wines were virtually indistinguishable in their mediocrity.
The food was generally good, but not spectacular. Service was slow, but it was not the waitress’ fault, asthe place was busy.
We paid for the meal, including the undrunk wine (my wife ordered a Prosecco to get the taste out of her mouth), and I discussed the issue with the manager. I told her that I suspected two things were happening. One, the restaurant has a rather long list of wines by the glass, and they are sitting open or days between being exhausted. Or, they have a wine storage problem.
She was accepting, but I could tell that she wouldn’t do anything about it.
Unfortunately, we won’t go back, which is a shame. It sort of ruined our evening.
If you go, I suggest you have cocktails or beer - or make a reservation at your nearest airport TGI Friday’s.
Was a little pricey, but they do have very good food.
We took our Daughter here to celebrate her 32nd Birthday this was her request to go. We have been here before for brunch-first time for dinner very nice dinner menu great service great food and a great birthday celebration
Great night with great food and friendship! The food was terrific and very good service.
Great experience all around! Would recommend Firefly to anyone
Firefly is one of the best restaurants in Manchester. It is consistently good, food is very good, maybe the best bartenders in town, service is outstanding and very good value.
Great dinner! Great service! Scallops rocked! We will be back soon.
Food was really good and they were really good at accommodating us and our wants. Everything was awesome. Would come back. Perfect place for a date.
We made a reservation the day before so we would have a table ready after the show we were going to was over. Well, the show ended sooner than we expected. We walked over to the restaurant and checked in. They were quite busy on this Saturday night and the staff did their very best to get us a table A.S.A.P. They offered to get us a drink while we waited. Once there was an open table, the next one was ours.
Once we were brought to our table, the server came over to introduce herself and see if we needed anything while we looked over the menus. A lot of items sounded delicious, too many to choose from. The server came over to take our order and answered any questions we had.
The place was buzzing and soon our meals were brought to us. Come to find out, our table that we were sitting at was one of their best.
The meals were delicious, the drinks were good and the service was spot on. The manager came over a few times to see how we were and at one point sat down with us for a few minutes. He gave us a few pointers if we decide to go to another show and then have a meal after. Much appreciated.
As we were getting ready to leave and pay our bill, we were chatting with our server and find out that we had a friend in common. What a small world.
Thank you to everyone that we interacted with. Will definitely be going back.
We have been to this restaurant many times. The food is always excellent. The pace of the meal is such that you have time to relax and enjoy the food and company. The Go Go bread is a requirement.
