Fire Ratings and Reviews
Enjoyed our dinner at Fire. They had a live band (Brass Heart Band) playing great songs on Saturday night and the crowd really enjoyed it. We did too. It's a bit loud for conversation when the band is playing but the music is good. Enjoyed dinner, our group had the Salmon, the Sirloin Steak and the Chicken Ceaser Salad plus mozzarella sticks.
I have rented the patio here before for a party and it was great, this was our 1st time eating a regular meal here. It was great, one of the best steaks I've ever had! Wings, chip/salsa, fried pickles and fresh cut fries are great. Definitely recommend, we will be back for sure.
Good variety on the menu. The service was very friendly and accommodating. The food is fresh, and the portions are generous. However, I felt that the dinners should come with two sides instead of one. The steaks we ordered were perfectly cooked and flavorful.
Yes we will be back.
First time at FIRE. Food was great even though the fried sampler was a bit too fried or brown for me. Might want to either change the grease or not fry it the mushrooms so long. Steaks were great. Waitress was on the inexperienced side with was probably why the steak did not come out cooked as requested.
Beer was cold which is a rarity in FL.
Will return in the near future.
Had reservations through Open Table. Service was very poor. Waitress informed us they were out of almost everything. anything we ordered they were out of. People came in and got up and left. Very poor service, we ended up ordering Steak Tips and it was awful. Meat was very tough. Would NOT go back again EVER!
With a sports bar feel, the restaurant provides a pleasant surprise. Menu offers sports bar stables as well as an impressive selection of outstanding and creative appetizers and entree's. Charred steaks are expertly prepared. Just enough char while maintaining a proper interior temp. Prices are fair, service good. Can't wait to introduce my friends to this find. Worth the 30 minute drive.
Sorry for this but was disappointed with Fire this time. Menu was limited (mostly bar food) compared to past years and service was less than stellar when we first arrived. Have followed these folks for a number of years at their various restaurants and have to say this is a miss now. Prefer Slyce for dinner.
My family happened upon this place as we are new to the area. We saw the other reviews which gave us courage to try it out. We are so happy that we did because the food was awesome & service was very friendly and awesome too. Our food was arriving late to the table so the waitress brought us more delicious biscuits & butter, which by the way everything is made there and from scratch. We loved the atmosphere and the food, I know we will be frequent flyers at this restaurant. Actually can't wait to take my son who has not tried the food yet!
I went there with my sisters and niece for a night out without children and hubbies. I had the crab cakes. The others had the fig flatbread, an "old school" burger, Asian salad and beef tips. The food was good and came out quickly, though I think they can improve on their crab cakes. They were deep fried with a dark crust sitting in a spicy aioli. I asked and was promptly given some regular tartar sauce - a vast improvement over the aioli. I tried all of the food and found out to be average in taste with the exception of the burger which was delicious! Will I go there again? Yes. What will I order? A flatbread or the burger.
Our 4th or 5th visit to Fire. Last time we were the hubby ordered the buttermilk shrimp and although he knows I'm not much of a shellfish eater, he encouraged me to try one. Our visit there on May 1st I ordered the same meal and thoroughly enjoyed it. Have never had a bad meal here and most of them are outstanding. Highly recommend Fire to anyone.
We visited FIre for dinner, we ordered the appetizer sampler with fried green beans, chips and salsa and onion rings (they were out of fried mushrooms) it was all delicious but rather small for the price of $12.99. I had the fish fry (10.49) which was very good, the fish tasted very clean. The cole slaw was good, but it was very finely chopped (like grits kinda) so I couldn't really get passed the texture. My husband ordered the steak tips (12.99?) and they were also very good. My boys got the smothered chicken (14.49) and a bacon cheddar burger(8.99) and they too enjoyed their meals very much. Other than the appetizer, everything else was well portioned for the price. I will definitely return but skip the appetizer. The service was also very good.
We meet my cousin and nephew for dinner on Friday 4/10/15 at Fire Restaurant, in beautiful Winter Haven, FL. Located downtown on Central Ave. I booked the table on Open Table and requested outdoor seating on Central Ave. There are only a few tables out there. Probably for smokers but we do not smoke. There are 2 - 4 top tables and one 2 or 3 top table. We started with a Sampler App. that had 3 Cheese Sticks, Loaded Cheese Fries and Onion Rings. It was very tasty and eaten up. One in our party had a chicken entree, another had a fish entree, another had the Filet Mignon and I had the Ribeye Steak. Everyone enjoyed what they had and the fish entree, which was a Mahi Mahi of some sort, that seemed to be pretty awesome. When my nephew took his first bite, the first words out of his mouth were, OH MY, that is great. Actually it is perfect. And said it was the best fish he had eaten in forever. Now this is coming from a 14 year old young man. So I gather it was pretty darn good. I had the Ribeye steak, cooked medium rare and it was quite tasty. The other two guest did say theirs was very good as well. For some reason, no one would give me a bite to see. I am quite fond of sweet tea, which they seem to have someone in the kitchen from the South, Keep them!!! It was good. We were too full to embark on dessert this time. The service was good and the staff was very friendly. The only draw backs we had, was a baked potato that was not quite cooked all the way through, which was resolved in a timely manor to our satisfaction, and the noisy two young ladies behind us. But it was Friday night and I am over 50. So maybe I was jealous. LOL But overall is was a very pleasant night. Great outdoor dining on a wonderful night. My cousin and nephew seemed to know a lot of the people walking by. Several hand shakes and introductions. Had we been inside we would of missed them. So give Fire Restaurant a try, I recommend it. Prices we fair as well.
The restaurant was right on one of the main downtown Winter Haven streets that are brick paved and easily found. Our reservation was done for 4 persons at 6:45 on a Monday evening. We arrived a little early and were seated immediately. I noticed that the table only had table service for 2. I mentioned it to the waitress and she promptly fixed it and told us what had happened. Apparently when the computer assigns a table it may not be the most appropriate for the waitstaff, so someone at the restaurant "fixes" the seating--when ours was fixed somehow the number in party ended up 53. The hostess called my husband to confirm how many in the party and he said 2, thinking it was the front desk of the motel. Fortunately they were not busy and could take care of our party of 4 very easily. Our waitress was super. My husband is a joker and she played right along with him. Service was great and the food was prepared to our liking.
