View is outstanding and open air terrace is great but food needs to be ramped up in taste and quality to match.
Wonderful food and great service. This restaurant is pricey but the meal and ambiance are worth it!
Salads were great but Croque Madame could use some help!
This was a Friday night during restaurant week. Overall the food was very good and the server was very attentive and pleasant. The problem was that our reservation was at 6:30 and the check was presented and paid by 7:15. For a three course meal with cocktails and wine. Needless to say, we felt very rushed and the restaurant was not even that busy. No sense whatsoever of proper spacing of courses.
I sent a note to the restaurant a few days ago and never heard back.
What a great night at Fire!! 5280 week did not disappoint
The restaurant is beautiful - sleek, modern. Floor to ceiling windows offer panoramic cith views. The food is exceptional -try the eggs benedict or hash on the brunch menu! Service is perfect - attentive but not intrusive
We dined at Fire for 5280 week and had a very nice time. The atmosphere is great; spacious, full of art. Our meal was good; I had the flatiron and it was cooked correctly, tender - just a tad over salted. Half of our group ordered the Red Snapper, which they said was good, but it was embarassingly small. It was 3 ounces at best. Thankfully my beef portion was large so my husband could have half of mine.
The food was very good. I had the mini ahi taco to begin. They were crunchy and had really good flavor balance. Next, I had the snapper as did my boyfriend. When they arrived, we both looked at each other and laughed. They were by far the smallest pieces of fish we have ever received at a restaurant, however, they were really delicious. The deserts were pretty good, and surprisingly large.
Food and service was nice !
We loved the ambiance, views, servers and particularly the delicious food----all courses!
We always eat the Fire Lounge when visiting the DAM. Both venues are outstanding .
You are our to go place. Thank you
Really enjoyed the view...great service from Jess...wonderful meal.. hub said his smoking Manhattan cocktail one of the best he's ever had...would return...went for our anniversary
Food was good but was not handled with care. Drinks were ok. Service is pretty bad. Not worth $250 for a dinner of two
Valentine Day Dinner - Set menu for the night $65 a person + $35 wine pairing
Well, as we were leaving Fire - The Art Hotel of Denver the valet asked "how was it". My wife and I answered honestly. "Average - Nothing to write home about". For those who follow Big D ratings you know that I praise the great but this was not a great experience and could tell that it wasn't just because it was Valentine Dinner night.
Here are my notes:
1. Valet parking and leaving - good speed
2. Hotel first floor lobby nothing to talk about.
3. Hotel forth floor main lobby and Fire location - no real art to talk about.
4. Seated quickly with a number of empty tables at 8:15 pm (Open Table reservation) which should mean the wait staff and kitchen will be organized.
5. Wait staff explained the fixed menu. We decided to go with a bottle of La Rejardiere Cotes du Rhone.
Nice blended table wine a GSMC blend. Retail price $10 / Fire price $50 (5 times mark - little high / typical is 4 to 4.5 times) still a reasonable price. Nice wine selection to pick from.
6. With a fixed menu and according to the times to pick from the seats were sold out for the night.
Wine and food came very slow but we weren't in a rush. Wait staff was busy busing their tables.
7. Food was average. As I told the valet - "Nothing to write home about". Good and warm when it came to the table but, for downtown Denver the average meal for two with a bottle is around $100 not
the $200 that was on our check. Less the wine $150. For "average" I would not suggest Fire to a friend.
Horrible service food and management
We were so excited for our Valentine's date but were very disappointed with the service and quality of food at Fire. Would not recommend to anyone. Very disappointed in the entire experience.
Only eat here if you’re staying at the hotel and don’t want to leave the property.
Our dinner at Fire was a very pleasant experience. The food was good and the service was excellent.
Very pleasant, contemporary setting. Very attentive service, delicious menu choices. Definitely the place to come for a quite meeting, a intimate exchange, or a group gathering.
It was a wonderful evening to reconnect and celebrate with a friend before heading over to the Monet exhibit at the DAM
Went for brunch. Delicious Bloody Mary and outstanding Florentine Omelet. Server was friendly, upbeat and attentive.
Poached eggs were too hard. They should have been runny.
Always warmly welcomed at this Denver gorgeous restaurant! It's so convenient to the Denver Art Musum, each time we visit the museum we have lunch here! Ask for the round table in the corner - it's got the best view of Denver! Staff is helpful and professional. Food is spot on. Such a pleasant experience!
I have eaten here twice. First time food was very good but second time food was barely good to good. Food was either under or over-cooked. In my mind food is what matters when spending good money. I would hesitate to go back.
I had a great experience the first visit, over a year ago, but just a fair experience this time. First visit was lunch, this one breakfast. The floor was covered in crumbs and near our table, my menu splattered with food, it just felt dirty.
It was supposed to be a super special birthday brunch but we were greeted and seated and served as if we were just a blah part of someone’s work day. Our server even muttered “of course,” under her breath sarcastically at another co worker. My friend’ was brought a luke warm cup of coffee. When she asked for a fresh one the server brought her a new cup of coffee (which was warmer) but left the full cold cup still in front of her on our tiny table for two. What was she supposed to do with a cold cup of coffee??? Our check came promptly when we asked for it, but then it took quite a long time for our card to be picked up, even though the restaurant did not look half full. We were there from 10:45 until noon for a single course meal. The view and location wonderful, the avocado toast really good. Quinoa bowl pretty good! Not stunning. I was hoping for the whole birthday gift experience to have the same very special feel as the first visit.
We had the corner table with full window view over Broadway and 12th Avenue. It felt so cosmopolitan! The food was outstanding, although my son's pork chop was raw when first sent out. The salmon with beurre blanc and farrow risotto was excellent, as was the chicken roulade. The sides (risotto, parsnip puree, charred brussel sprouts) were all to die for! Scrumptious wedge salad too. My husband's burger and the crab and avocado taco appetizer were the only dishes that weren't oversized, like big enough for 2 to share. Service was very, very slow. Good thing we had plenty of time.
The food here is always good, but the service last night was beyond poor. Tried to treat my out of town mother and sister to something different before going to the museum. Had a reservation and were not sat until almost 30 minutes after the reservation time, which was nerve wrecking because we had specific museum entry timed tickets. Ordered appetizers that never came. Tried to see a wine list which never came so tried to order wine and were met with hostility because we didn’t know what they did and didn’t carry. Ordered coffee at the end of dinner- it also never arrived. Came back after going to the museum to try for coffee again and it showed up cold.
We were seated in a side room (the one with the plaid bears) and the noise from the main dining area was overwhelming. Until it quieted down some we could barely hear each other. The food was outstanding. Overall a most pleasant experience, aside from the noise.
I enjoy Fire for the ambiance, the great selection of drinks, and the ease of parking. I have been pleased with the service on previous occasions, but level of service slipped this past visit. I assume is was on off night. Still a great place for the evening.
Great menu with a lot of options! Yummy wine and cocktail list. Service could use a kick in the pants as she was super inattentive, slow and not very friendly. She was expecting us to be rushed for a Monet exhibit but alas I was at a client dinner. She didn’t seem impressed when we wanted dessert and we contemplated not ordering any so we could just leave. They’re we’re also out of a few menu items that seemed weird such as butter and an after dinner wine!
The bae staff was super friendly and very attentive when we went there after dinner for a night cap beverage.
The blue crab tacos should be removed from menu - gooey, might as well have been ordinary tuna salad, little crab, little avocado. The ceasar salad was excellend.
The decor is sleek and modern. I love the light from all the windows and enjoyed my view. The wait staff were friendly though on this particular day I thought the service was a bit slow. However we had plenty of time so ultimately it didn't matter. My salad was quite good. It had blackened chicken that was spicy but not overly so. I thought it was great. My companions enjoyed their meals as well. I will look forward to my next meal there.
Really enjoyed this restaurant after our visit to the Monet exhibit. Overall a very good experience.
Beautiful views of the Denver skyline in the evening.
Post Monet lunch - wonderful view - easy access - mixed green salad w shaved fennel and lemon vinaigrette was delish -
We had a very enjoyable evening at Fire. We had picked it because of it's proximity to the art museum. The ambiance and decor were fantastic, the cocktails fun and delicious and the food was outstanding. It was a perfect date night! Great service too!
We spent night in hotel in conjunction with seeing Monet exhibit at Art Museum. Elected to eat in rather than going out. Had very good meal at Fire. Snapper and short ribs were excellent. Finished with chocolate mousse and bread pudding for dessert. Highly recommend if in area,
I had told the waitperson I had a few allergies - garlic and onions - when I ordered a burger and was assure it did not have - or would not have either. It was not served with the sauce. However, I got really sick for two days. I am just coming out of it. It started about an hour after I ate the burger. This happens with cross contamination by onions. If it was grilled or touched by something that had onions or garlic on it, I get sick. I did not finish it by the way because it was not very good. The bun was very hard.
I wish restaurants would take food allergies seriously - please educate your staff.
We had a family meal after going to the Denver art museum. It was six adults and one eight-year-old. The food was great expensive. Service was good but tapered off towards the end of the meal. Table was great with an awesome view of the city and mountains.
