Good food, service and attention to detail was lacking.
The ambience was great
This is our second time at Fire, at the request of our dining companions. The view from the restaurant is nice and the outdoor cocktail patio looked inviting (although a cold wind was blowing in a storm the night we visited). The "grayness" of the decor is just bland, and the layout feels low-end and not as swanky and cool than its location and image they hope to project might suggest. The wait-staff's side conversations were loud to the extreme, which also spoiled the ambience. The food was tasty, albeit pricy for what is was. We've had many better similar dishes at a lower price-point, in more pleasing surroundings. The Smoky Manhattan was a tasty and unique cocktail, although requesting it on the rocks rather than "up" was received like an imposition. I want this place to better than it is. The location is cool, the idea is cool, but the execution is just flat. Too bad.
Each of us ordered a different entree and each of us thought the food was excellent.
The atmosphere at sunset was perfect and we each had a view out of the huge windows in each direction.
We sat inside, although the outside tables and variety of seating options looked inviting and was quite busy.
I've already told two friends about the evening. I will definitely go again. Its a little pricey, but found real value in the generous portions and the lovely, complex flavors.
Cool location for a fun dinner! Great way to start a vacation !Excellent food ! Excellent service!
This was a pleasant evening, good food and a nice setting. Not exceptional, but good. The wine list is limited, and the quality just ok.
A beautiful relaxing setting. This is a gorgeous restaurant with a fourth floor city view. The menu is varied, and the wine list is reasonably priced. They were training some new employees, so service was extra attentive. Very nice.
Jessica was our server. She was very personable and helpful. We have been here several times and the food is always very good (which is why we come back). The bar is pretty noisy but if we get a table away from it, it's fine.
Food out of the kitchen was slow.
Bad service. Waiter came by and delivered bread and said he would be back to take our order. Finally asked the manager. He took our order. Another server delivered food and bill. Our waiter was around but never at our table. Southwestern Cobb salad was good. Poke bowl was OK. Convenient to Denver Art Museum. Nice room. Does not make up for bad service.
Fire is gorgeous and the setting was wonderful. Pricey, but worth it. Great wine list. Delicious food!
I've eaten at Fire several times for breakfast, brunch, lunch, and at Thanksgiving. All of my previous experiences were exceptional, and I've loved bringing family and friends to this beautiful hotel and restaurant. Sunday's breakfast, sadly, was not a great experience. The service was slow--and generally absent. The English muffin in my chorizo benedict was burned on the edges and nearly impossible to cut with a knife. The poached eggs were cooked perfectly, but barely lukewarm when served. The chorizo was overcooked as well. Potatoes and asparagus were excellent. I'm going to chalk this up to an off-day and not let the experience keep me from returning.
The service was outstanding and the food was very delicious.
We loved everything. Can’t wait to go back.
Food is incredible and the service is great! It was sad to see the restaurant not full on a Friday night
Excellent food ,incredible views, extensive drink menu. We were wowed can't wait to go back..
I brought out-of-town guests with whom I looked forward to having important conversations. Fire's noise-free atmosphere facilitated our having a wonderful time without having to shout or strain to hear each other. The food was delicious, especially the cheesecake, which was the best I've ever encountered, and just the right size, in addition to being beautifully constructed. (Loved those intense little strawberry strips!) Our server was wonderfully attentive and good-humored. We all loved the views; I've never seen my neighborhood from that angle, and my guests loved the urban view against the mountain backdrop. All-in-all, it was an experience I look forward to repeating!
We decided to try Fire on the 4th of July. The experience, overall, was mediocre. After perusing the drink menu, I chose a cocktail from the “Hot Stuff” section, only to be told that the drinks in that section are only available in the winter. I found this slightly annoying because the menu was printed in a single sheet of paper and if an entire category of cocktails is unavailable for months at a time, why not reprint the menu for summer? I then chose a drink from another category and our server returned several minutes later to inform me that the bar did not have the ingredients to make that drink. Apparently the bartender was unable to modify the drink with the ingredients available to him and neither the bartender nor the server made any suggestions for a similar drink. I chose a third beverage and was finally served a cocktail. It was mediocre. The server did a poor job of describing the dish I asked about so it ended up being a disappointment and definitely not what I expected when I ordered. I ordered the salmon duo and was unimpressed. The salmon lacked flavor and there was absolutely nothing unique about the dish. The “duo” was in reference to a (literally) single bite of salmon mousse served on the side, encased in a squash blossom. My fiancé ordered the mushroom risotto which was better than the salmon but still mediocre. We opted not to stay for dessert. On the upside, the tempura cauliflower appetizer was quite tasty and well prepared and the ambiance is nice with floor to ceiling windows. The view is not the best in Denver but still nice to be surrounded by a view of the city and mountains. The hostess and the server attending to the table next to us both seemed pretty awesome so perhaps our experience would’ve been different another time. The hotel is quite unique and the art is creative and fun. The restaurant, unfortunately , was not enticing enough to inspire a second visit.
We loved the ambiance and the view, but we found the food to be very small portioned, bland, and poor quality for the price. It would be a great place for drinks and light fare, as they have a wonderful patio and fireplace, but for a nice dinner it was not worth the price. I could have gotten better food for a much lower price elsewhere, and that was our biggest reservation. The service was fantastic however, the server we had was very attentive and I was celebrating an anniversary so I brought in some flowers the morning before and when we got there they had it all beautifully set up. But we were disappointed enough by the food that it sort of negated the other good things
Seafood was not very fresh. They took it back and didn’t charges us. Salad was very good and waitress was super nice.
Awesome view, excellent service, great food and drinks. Will definitely return.
Three friends and I had brunch at Fire on June 23rd. I'd been there several times, but my friends had not. Each said they wanted to come back to try more items on the menu. While it was unseasonably cold outdoors, we did walk outside and talk about coming back for drinks. The outdoor seating area is just so inviting. In addition to the excellent food and drinks, we loved the art, too. All in all, a wonderful experience.
Among the four of us, we ordered the avocado toast, short-rib hash, and croquet madam. We shared bites, and no one was even the least disappointed in the offerings. We'll be back!
Horrible service, unable to get seated for a reservation and then ignored repeatedly by waiter.
An okay brunch — just not wowed. No crowd, but yet service was a bit slow. There are so many choices in Denver for brunch, not sure that there is a reason to go back here.
The setting and decor were wonderful., so was the service. My friends and I had salads, and although fresh enough, dressings weren't good, my Ahi Tuna was tasteless, rice at bottom of salad was undercooked and tasted like it had been refrigerated for days--no flavor.
We had the worst service ever! Our drinks were delayed ALOT and then totally wrong-twice! And we shared the issue, there was no apology but then our server offered to take the order that was 100% wrong off the bill and.....it was left on like we wouldn’t notice. It was such a disappointment and I hope they can address this substandard service and inappropriate response -: the food is good and ambiance good. I doubt I can get my group that was there to go back any time soon. I hope this can be fixed.
If you want an afternoon with excellent food, wonderful service and great ambience the Fire restaurant is the place. It doesn’t get better than this.
Location, ambiance and service were great. Food was good but pricey.
I enjoy the restaurant and the service. The price, however, left me feeling taken advantage of. It was good, but nowhere near worth the price.
It’s a great venue but despite there being not many people their service was extremely slow, not very attentive The pappardelle dish had great flavor but the pasta was undercooked even after they remade it still was not edible. Scallops & salmon were very tasty
This was an incredible find. The service was on point. Our server Maria was friendly and engaging but not overwhelming. She recommended incredible food. The depth and layers of flavor in each dish was incredible. We also learned a lot about the restaurant and chefs. Great date night. Was pricey but worth every penny.
Easter brunch was fantastic! The service, food, and ambiance were perfect. Really enjoyed the experience.
The food was very good, but not a lot of selection, the potatoes were hard.
My wife’s birthday
Claire is a fantastic person to take care of you while dining at Fire - attentive, easy going and personable! The cauliflower app and Brussel Sprouts app are fantastic. Enjoy their wine and drink selection as well.
Totally ignored on the patio, watched another couple leave as they also hadn’t been served. That said, the dining room waitress was very good and did her best to make up for transgression on the patio. Food was good and the space is amazing. Will try again but will withhold recommending until then.
Trip to Denver!
Great ambiance! The staff were very happy and accommodating. The rooftop fire is cool
While the setting and views at Fire are very nice, I wish the food was an equal match. There were four of us for brunch and each of our dishes was a disappointment. My meatball grinder was dry, not enough sauce and my salad was very bitter. My daughter's salad entree was disappointing. My husband's eggs benedict were not hot and the hollandaise sauce had no taste. My son did not think much of his chili verde hash. For a venue with so much potential, I wish the kitchen staff would actually care about the food they send out. Do not call the OJ fresh squeezed when it absolutely is not. Once again, our dining experience at Fire was disappointing.
