The concept is simple. A host of Gauchos parade through the restaurant with choice cuts of grilled Angus beef, chicken, lamb, pork and sausage. All selections are slow roasted over an open flame, seasoned to perfection and accompanied by an extravagant salad area. Fixed priced dining allows you eat until you've had your fill!
Would not recommend at all. While our service was good, the food was absolutely terrible.
I have been to a number of Brazilian steakhouses and this by far was the worst experience I've had. The food was very dry, over cooked, and overall disappointing.
We came for dinner on Thanksgiving, reserved table at 6 pm, we came a few min early. Was seated immediately, nice! Last seating due to Thanksgiving was 6.30 pm.
The buffet as we arrived was already pretty empty and even though we were not the last seated, nothing was added. Very poor buffet.
The price for an adult was close to $45 and child half price. TOTALLY overpriced. Maybe the buffet was empty just because it was Thanksgiving evening BUT we still paid full price and the buffet and meat offered was poor. We will never go back to Fire of Brazil - SO OVERPRICED! Servers was very nice!
Food was not the greatest, but the service was completely amazing and definitely made up for the food
I eat at these restaurants a few times a month.
This food was very low quality.
Not enough servers
Avoid this and go to fogo de chao or Texas de Brazil
The food was decent but the restaurant was very poorly staffed. The manager was nowhere to be found. The singular waitress was also acting as bar tender and there were only two gauchos serving all the various meats. The waitress was friendly and very apologetic when we asked to leave because our drinks were coming one at a time -- very slowly. This is when she explained the situation and we felt badly for her. We decided to stay and it was okay but I wouldn't go back.
We eat here reasonably frequently.
When we arrived at 7:30, we were the third table in the entire place. I figured this would mean we would get attentive service. Not the case. Because the restaurant was so slow, the food was not as hot or frequent as past times.
Our waitress, India, was missing most the entire night. Several other folks kept refilling our drinks etc...
The food was either very underdone, or overdone (we like medium rare meat). I put it down to the restaurant being so empty the meat didn't rotate as often as usual and as such just wasn't as good.
Refills on our drinks required us to request them.
For the $40+ price rage per person, Fogo De Chao is a much better option. Next time we are downtown and want a nicer dinner, I will check to see how just Fires Of Brazil is before we eat. If it's busy, all should be good.
Early in the dinner , I requested the manager and explained my dissapointment with my dinner. He was very apologetic and comped our meal. We left and had a great steak 50 yards away at Ray's
Not up to the standards that I expected. I have dined at Brazilian restaurants before and this one does not compare. Most of the meat was well done, even the one piece of filet that was offered. The service was not good. We had to ask our waitress, who walked right by our table two or three times, for more water. Then she filled my wife's glass and started to walk away even though mine was empty. Then I had to hand her my dirty plate to get it removed. Not worth the money we spent.
The chicken was really good and the salad bar was well stocked and had good options. The meat was unfortunately very inconsistent. Some was good but others were tough, over cooked on the outside and very rare in the middle, and many of the items were not offered.
Our server was very attentive.
Service wasslow. Had to keep asking for water refill. Had to track down the meat. I will avoid it next time.
The initial service was awful, the food being brought around was cold then it got better, however a large group came in and the service disappeared. The salad bar was nice. The only thing that was right about that dinner was talking to the manager and then telling us we could leave and not be charged. This was a shame as we had our sons there for the golf tournament, wanting to enjoy a nice meal.
Never, ever choose this restaurant! Without a doubt the worse Brazilian steakhouse I have experienced, and I have been to many. The meats were all ill prepared, mostly over cooked, extremely dry and tough, and tasteless. Chewing was a waste of time and effort. The salad bar was okay, but the family style sides were lousy. This restaurant had bad food, bad service and was over priced.
The food was good, but not as good as I have had there before. Meat seemed to have little to no seasoning. It could have been a fluke. Will go back in the future.
My business party made reservations and received a confirmation. When we showed up they were closed. Online and the hours on the entrance door stated they should be open, but they were closed. No one there, no note on the door, no one called/messaged to cancel our reservations.
This had become a yearly tradition for my daughter and I after a long day at DragonCon. But honestly, this year probably ended it. The salad bar has gotten skimpier by the year. The meat was all exceedingly rare. We had to ask repeatedly for specific meats (sausage) and for grilled pineapple, and still didn't get it until our waiter went and got it himself. When the price of a Daddy/Daughter dinner is over $100, it should be more memorable and more enjoyable than this was. We *LOVE* Brazilian steakhouses. Just didn't love this one this time.
The gauchos who bring the meat were attentive, although they came across as a little perfunctory. My waitress only came by my table five times the whole meal.
Given that I attended at the peak of the dinner rush during DragonCon, however, a lot of that can be overlooked.
OK, we have been to a Fire of Brazil before, but not this one and we have been to numerous churrascurias. Usually, you have to beat off the gauchos with a stick! Not this time. Because of Dragoncon, the place was fairly busy, but, they only had 2 or 3 gauchos and, once, our waiter had to go get the meat and serve it himself. He was the one bright spot. He tried his best to make sure we had everything and was very cheerful and accommodating. However, he couldn't make up for the lapses from the kitchen and the other staff. The first round of meat we got was still mooing when it got to our plate. It wasn't rare, it was blue. Then some better cooked selections came around, but, some of it was tough. Most of it was pretty good after the first round, but, getting the gauchos to come over was the hard part.
Also, the salad bar was less than desirable. I mean, I've never seen a salad bar that didn't have onions on it. I wouldn't recommend it.
Great evening out with friends and coworkers. The cheese balls were amazing!
The person at the bar was so bad we left before the meal and went to another restaurant
Bad service and less than average food. Crab salad taste like it was spoiled.
The ambiance was somewhat drab, not the best decor. The wait staff was nice enough, but super slow. Brazilian steakhouse: you come for the meats. But. the salad bar was pretty lacking of any side items to offset all that protein except for literally a simple salad and two types of potatoes. Would have been nicer to have a couple other vegetables. The meats were decently prepared, but did lack some seasoning. For the price we paid, I didn't feel very satisfied with the experience. Stick to Fogo de Chao for this type cuisine.
Great food and options. One of the guys that brought out meat options even asked us what we would like and made special attention to bring what we wanted.
For the price, the service was definitely sub par. Hopefully this isn't the norm for a place like this. Our waitress wasn't very attentive at all and even at the end we asked for our check. We had the payment ready and setting at the edge of the table. She then brought us yet another check, forgetting she already brought it. It was not busy in the restaurant while we were there either.
THIS PLACE IS NOT FAGO DE CHAO PEOPLE!!!
The food was less than mediocre, the service was the same.
Shall I also mention the gnats that swarmed the salad bar and your plate as you attempted to
eat. The first clue should have been that the place was empty during Restaurant Week!!
The salad bar and sangria were good but the meat served were dry and not very seasoned. I looked forward to the meats but was disappointed.
The servers kept bringing around the same meats when we were ready to try different selections. Our initial waiter was not attentive and we ended up with another person in his place. Wait staff seems overwhelmed as there was a huge company dinner party at another table
Ambience was lacking, food was ok, the salad buffet was sup-par
The hostess was wonderful and probably the best part of the restaurant. She was attentive to our needs. For $35 per person I really expect more. The salad bar was just so so, nothing spectacular. The meat ok. A few of the pieces I would say were above average, but the rest was average. The wait staff came around regularly with the meat, but did not seem that friendly, just kinda out there laying meat on the plate. No conversation or friendliness. I just did not leave feeling we had a good time and I hate that when I spend so much on a meal.
I've ate at several places like this all over the country, and I have to say this was the worst I've been to.
We waited for almost an hour even though we had a reservation, watching people walking in off of the street with a reservation be seated at the abundance of empty tables. The hostess was impolite, had no people skills, and were bickering between themselves about how to seat people.
The salad bar was half full, with no salad dressing.
The (3) choices of meats that were available had no flavor, was tough, and very seldom came around.
No water was ever brought to the table, we ran out of drinks.
Overall it was a very disappointing evening, it's sad to know that we spent $100 and stopped at the Varsity on our way home for a $12 hamburger meal. The owner/owners should be ashamed of themselves for the service and food they provide. They won't have to worry about my family returning.
First I made a reservation for 8:45 I arrived at 8:30. At 9:30 I was still not seated and realized the couple that had a 7:30 reservation was not seated also. There was no where to sit while waiting and the staff was rude. At 9:45 my party and I decided to go to a different restaurant where we were seated immediately. Other parties also left and we saw them at the restaurant as well.
I have dined here once before years ago and it was wonderful! This experience was horrible. We sat for over 10 minutes with no server. He continued to walk by several times, shake his head, make eye contact but not once did he come over and greet us. The restaurant was not overly busy and we had reservations. We finally just got up and left. So disappointed!
I truly enjoyed the quality of the meat but the salad bar selection was poor. Service was VERY slow and horrible because it was obvious they were short staffed but once it slowed down our server was on top of us and turned the experience from horrible to great. I wouldn't go back though.............
My husband and I went for date night. The food was mediocre and the buffet needed to be replenished with the sides. Our waiter was good..as he returned our bill we saw it was swiped for more than what our bill was. It took a good 30 minutes to fix the refund. It was a really bad experience will not be returning ever. They need a better system for paying your bills and better cuts of meat. Seems like they were bringing out the same ones.
We went on a Friday at 7 pm and we were the only guests in the restaurant when we arrived - very odd. The waiter took our drink order and brought our soft drinks quickly but it took 20 mins to get the wine that we had ordered and only after I had gone to ask where it was as the waiter didn't come back to check in us. The meat skewer guys came too quickly together and it was impossible to keep up as we were one of only two tables with guests when they started around. For the cost, it was not a great experience. The food was good but the service was not at the level I would expect for the price that we paid (over $50 per person).
One of the worst values I have ever experienced. The atmosphere feels like a cheap buffet. The quality of the meat is not what you expect when you are paying over $50 per person. The staff was very slow and inexperienced. The ONLY good thing I have to say about this restaurant is the location to the AmericasMart. It really does not even seem clean. Oh, did I mention, the A/C was not working properly so we were sweating while dining. Do yourself a favor and find a different place.
Reminded me of Hometown Buffet. Weak. I would not recommend or ever go back
I was disappointed. We will not dine there again.
Atmosphere left a lot to be desired. Needs updating urgently. We assumed that it would be a bit more upscale based on the location. Good was just ok, service was good. Would not return though.
They stop serving Lunch at 2:30 PM (As stated on their Menu) we sat for Dinner at 4:30 PM (Taking in a show for Fathers day with my parents so ate early) They kept bringing out the same few selections of Meet and when I asked the Server for some of the Lamb or even Pineapple he told me that was on the "Dinner" menu. To which I asked why were we not being served dinner to begin with as it clearly isn't lunch time? I told him those were the types of meat we wanted and to please stop bringing out the over cooked beef left over from Lunch. They brought the lamb out 1 time. No Pine apple and no Turkey as I requested. They acted as if they did not understand English and kept with the same over cooked beef skewers. They wouldn't even remove our salad plated from the table before serving the entrée and never once offered us a clean plate . I had to go get them for my party . I also had to get up 3 different times to get service. We were so frustrated with their meet service (or lack their of) Our card was on green for 23 minutes (yes, I time it) and no one even checked on us until I asked the hostess to send the waiter. After not being able to get Dinner served, we tried to order dessert so at least we wouldn't leave hungry. we asked for 3 desserts and 2 cups of coffee with them. The desserts came out in 20 minutes (yes, I timed it) but no coffee. we waited 15 more minutes and once again, I had to go find a server. No servers were on the floor the entire experience and if we needed anything, we had to go find someone. Mind you, the restaurant wasn't even at 40% full. it wasn't like they were busy. For an average of $60 per person. $20 to park (No they didn't Validate) and dealing with down town Atlanta traffic and congestion. I would rate this a Negative -4 on a scale of 10.
The atmosphere was relaxing. The food was phenomenal and the service was amazing. We will definitely visit again.
If you have been to other Brazilian steak houses the. You won't like this one. A few of the selections were okay. Many of them were not. We took a table of employees and coworkers and my husband said he was embarrassed that we took them there.
