Fire + Ice Grill + Bar Ratings and Reviews
We arrived about 8:45. The time it took to choose what we wanted to eat, get the food cooked, sit and eat stopped us all from being able to enjoy the all-you-can-eat experience. The food was good but they put things away promptly just before they close at 10. We only got one serving of bread because when we asked for more we were told it was all gone. The waiters and waitresses can be a little more attentive to customers for drinks and bread.
Not for me. We ended up leaving because the food wasn’t what we were looking for, and my glass of wine smelled like cleaning liquid. I attempted to ask for a different glass but was told by the bartender that nothing was wrong with it - that the glasses were just cold - not sure how that would have made the wine smell horrid (I refused to even try it - it smelled putrid). We left the drinks at the table and walked out. I wasn’t pleased when I tried to ask for another glass and was told I was wrong.
My family and I have been to the Lake Tahoe location many times. That is the original restaurant in the franchise. The Anaheim location is fairly close to Disneyland in the Gardenwalk Mall with lots to do. The food is fantastic because their are endless options, and you get to create your favorite dish. This location was excelent. Friendly staff and good grill chefs. Only negative is that it's a little to dim with the lighting.
Great concept for a restaurant, it has endless options for any kind of dish you want to create. The only drawback was that at 5 o'clock with sunlight streaming in through the walls of windows and only a dozen people in the place they were blaring trashy club music. We asked if they could change it( as there was just our party and one other family with children there) and they happily obliged but changed it back after two songs. Read the room guys, and save the groping music for when the late night crowd comes in for shots
I attended with family for a quick bite to eat before heading out of town. The food was great as always; however, I did not so much enjoy the commentary from the "chefs". I don't want to hear about your night out drinking. I also do not appreciate watching you add things (whip cream) to my cousins food without permission - she isn't a fan of whip cream, dairy free or not, permission would be nice.
I love this place but was disappointed on my last visit. We were a party of 16 celebrating my sons 3rd birthday. I did notice the cooks were not the same guys we were use to and not only did they burn my food but my husband got a plate of beef with veggies somehow they separated all the meat he got and gave it all to the person that was next to him. So all he got back was over cooked veggies so they made him go get another plate of food. We then told the waiter it was my sons birthday and would like to see the little fire show they do. (We celebrated my daughters 5th birthday here last month and they did that for her) he brought back a brownie with a candle and sang happy birthday and walked away so basically didn't get the fire show. We love it here just very disappointed.
We all enjoyed the restaurant and the style in which the food was cooked. We were a large party seated outside and did not have enough lighting for where we were sitting. Even our server had to use the light App on her phone to view the menu with us and the bill.
Celebrating my daughter's college graduation, we came as a group of 9, and they had our table ready for us. After selecting our food, we enjoyed the entertaining way that the grillmasters cooked our food. At the end of our meal, the grillmasters lit up the grill as their way of congratulating our daughter.
Normally a great experience. Saturday was extremely packed and had quite a few new people. I ate only meat but my husband had chicken as well. I think the newer cooks were trying to get through the crowd faster and not paying close attention to the way the food was cooking. My husband has been sick for two days, can't keep anything down. I'm blaming the chicken. Very important for new people to be trained effectively
I celebrated my birthday with the closest people to me at Fire+IceGrill+Bar. It was anabsolutely amazing event.
Brandy was phenomenal and so were
Kacee and Ashley (who had helped me in the planning process). The food was great and The DJ was serving up hits all night long.
We had a blast!!!
Ate here twice in one week! Once with husband and once with co-workers. Both meals were wonderful. Food options were plentiful, watching food be cooked was fun, and eating the results was fantastic. I would recommend arriving before normal dinner hours for best experience. Wait time as we were leaving was in excess of 45 minutes.
Service was terrible. Squeezed us into a corner. Waiter would be gone for 1/2 hour at a time. Never came back and even asked if we wanted refills or dessert. Then at 2 hours the manager came with the bill and told us to leave because he had another party coming. We will never dine there again.
I booked a reservation for 15 people for my son's 15th surprise birthday party. I specifically booked here because of the DJ on the patio Fri/Sat nights. The DJ was a no show that night. Extremely disappointing!
The table reservation was for 8:45pm as we were planning to surprise my son at 9:00pm. At 9:00pm the table still wasn't ready. My sister told them "look he's coming we need our table". And they finally got it together. Well, they got them seated without table settings. The service was horrible. Nobody ever explained to our guests how the process worked at F+I. Luckily, I actually had worked there as a server years ago and I had to explain to our guests how it worked. We had to hunt down the waitresses everytime we needed something including drinks. And the bread took about an hour to finally be served. They still charged us an 18% gratuity for poor sevice even though it is a law that you can not do that in California anymore.
Even though we ended up having a good time and we didn't fuss over the gratuity charged because we didn't want to end my son's birthday on a sour note, I would strongly suggest addressing the service team with tools to better serve your patrons.
Lastly, as a positive note the hostess that evening was lovely, friendly and most helpful. All the staff was friendly.
Get it together Fire + Ice.
