Fiore Ratings and Reviews
I would say the food and service was really good however make sure you do not get the table next to the curtain near the bathroom as people did not always use the right curtain opening to return to their table and kept bumping into my friends chair...kind of annoying.
Valentines Day. Never been disappointed at Foire. This time a little disappointed. We understand that it was a very busy day so we understand the difficulty for restaurant staff on days like this but the service was slow and they were out of menu items. Didn’t even get the Bread and I’ve oil and pesto sauce that was on the menu. Again this is a wonderful restaurant and we will definitely go to again and again but I think they were a little over their head on a day like Valentines day.
We had only been in one time for afternoon coffee, and we loved this restaurant! We walked from home, we live so close, and decided to try it out for an early Valentine's Dinner. We had the antipasto mezze appetizer which was really fresh, and I ordered the salmon. It was so tasty! My husband ordered a beef dish that was really tender. You could tell there were lots of regulars there, the owner seemed to know most of the customers by name. We'll be back!
First, you are warmly welcomed by the owner/manager, which is followed by an attentive and friendly service. I have never been disappointed with the food, and last night was really good. We shared an appetizer, stuffed mushrooms, which was delicious. I then had scampi risotto to die for, with large shrimps and scallops, and my husband really enjoyed the lamb shank. One friend has the Osso Buco which he also enjoyed. This restaurant is a neighborhood gem, not to be missed.
Although very close to us, we had never dined at Fiore. It is a very nice small restaurant with great food. We had an opportunity for a pleasant chat with the owner who was also our server. We were there for a Friday night dinner and will be looking forward to going back.
I would think that a reservation would be an essential for the weekend.
My wife and I have been to Fiori on other occasions and always enjoy ourselves. This is our go to spot for a casual meal when we’re in Concord. The restaurant has the feel of a small family owned restaurant you could have found in North Beach, San Francisco or Little Itsly, New York in days gone by. The I’m Beyonce just casual yet nice and you would feel as comfortable in a suit as you would taking a break from shopping for a casual dinner. Don’t let the shopping center location fool you. This restaurant is a gem. It is small so make reservations in advance as recommended because they can and will fill up fast, especially on the weekends. Be prepared for a leisurely meal because as a small restaurant they have a small staff and a small kitchen. We they get busy you can expect to wait so enjoy another glass of wine and relax. If you want fast Italian, ho to the big chain Italian restaurant. The food and atmosphere won’t be as good as Fiore but it will be fast. We arrived at our reservation time and were seated immediately. The staff was friendly and patient as we took some time to make a decision on our Entrée. We started with a glass of Merlot along with Manila clams and a spinach salad. My wife had tiger prawns in a parmesan sauce over linguine. I had the Lamb shank with grilled vegetables. Both were excellent. The lamb shank could be a regular item for me if not for the other items on the menu which I’m anxious to try. We finished with A creampuff with chocolate and banana sauce and chocolate decadence. Our meal was served with perfect timing and satisfying portions. By the time we finished our meal we were full but not uncomfortable. The bar is prominent and well stocked with wine and beer. They don’t serve hard liquor but you’ll come for the food and wine anyway. We have recommended Fiore in the past and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. Give them a try. I can’t imagine you would be disappointed. Remember to make Reservations and relax.
The food was amazingly good and the service was gracious and attentive. The pasta portions were just right and the sauces were delicious. The tiramisu was some of the best I’ve ever had. The server recommended a delicious wine and overall this was an excellent dining experience!
We were very impressed. Had to make a last minute reservation for New Years Eve. They accommodated us and even went out of their way to hold our reservation as we were running very late. As an option, they said if we were running too much later that they would be happy to hold seats at the bar to make sure we were able to eat dinner before we went to a party. The food was excellent. The waitress/wait staff was excellent. We had the vegetarian lasagne and the mushroom ravioli. I will definitely be back for both of these items. The only slight disappointment was that they only serve beer and wine. No full bar. But for food this good, I will easily survive! I will recommend this restaurant to everyone I know.
We originally started going to Fiore years ago, when it was one of the few restaurants
open on Christmas day. Now, despite all the other options, this is still a very special place to us. First, compared to comparable Italian restaurants, the prices are very reasonable. We were greeted with great warmth when we walked in and seated immediately. We were offered a beverage right away. We ordered an appetizer while we struggled to choose which of the alluring entrees we wanted. The appetizer came very quickly, as did the entrees as soon as we'd completed the appetizer. I had the delicious Fettuccine Gamberi pasta, with Tiger shrimp (perfectly cooked!), crab and a creamy parmesan sauce. It was exquisite. My adult son had the lamb shank, which melted off the bone, deliciously juicy. No room for dessert!
Given its location [ next to KMart & Payless shoes in a strip mall in Clayton] Fiore is a complete, absolute surprise. Some of the very best Italian food in the East Bay. An Example, on the menu are braised short ribs, served with potato - a standard, but I asked to substitute pasta. The gracious server asked me what kind of pasta [ type and sauce].. I replied "let the chef decide" The chef put a tender, delicious and large portion of short rib on top of fettuccine with a marvelous ragu - wonderful.
Other dished were pumpkin and goat cheese ravioli, crab cakes, bolognese fusilli and a spectacular slow roast duck.
Yes, it's out of the way, but oh sort worth it..
Fiore has been one of our favorites for a long time. We went for Thanksgiving dinner. I had the traditional turkey dinner, which was outstanding (white meat carved with gravy, dark meat shredded in its own little pile). My wife had the mushroom ravioli, which she raved about. We'll be back for Christmas dinner!
We went to Fiore for Thanksgiving lunch. For three people with one less than average mimosa, the pricey total with tip was 157.00$. The pre-entree options were limited to two but, the soup was good and the small ceasar salad is also good. There were only 3 entrees, turkey or two pastas, one pumpkin ravioli and one porcini mushroom ravioli both in a gorgonzola sauce, with the pumpkin sauce being lighter in color. The porcini ravioli was delicious. The desert (again only two options) a pumpkin pie or a pecan pie were really disappointing and clearly store bought. Costco pies taste better. A decent meal not a great one and a bit too expensive for the fare received.
I took a friend of mine who was very impressed . She is planning to take her husband to the restaurant.
The food is always delicious and I never have to worry about taking my friends there.
We had a lot of catching up to do after trips, and they never rushed us out....always gracious.
