Fiore Steakhouse - Harrah's Resort - Southern California Ratings and Reviews
Wonderful place. go there everytime i'm at Harrah's Rincon. Service outstanding. Food is great. They change the menu from time to time so you can choose somthing different I had Quail with squash and other great tasts added. Salads are supurb! Sides are simple or you can do different. They have the best coffee for that great desert. It's my favorite place!
Great food and presentation. The Caesar salad was phenomenal with a anchovy dressing, fresh parmesan, et al. I had an excellent thick slice of prime rib. Couldn't have been a more delightful and delicious meal, but not cheap! Will definitely dine there again, though! :)
Fiore's is always a special treat when we go to Harrah's SoCal. The food was superb. We had melt in your mouth Filet Mignon with mashed potatoes and spinach. Had really fun salad which was romaine lettuce wrapped in thin cucumber with miniature cucumbers and tomatoes - just a darling plate. Expensive but well worth it for special occasions.
Reservations for family Thanksgiving gathering Servers were very pleasant and gracious. Some in our party were skeptical of having Thanksgiving at a steakhouse but when we informed by Anthony (our server) that turkey was a special item, they were pleased. We really enjoyed the evening!
This was our third dinner here. We usually come Christmas Eve. This was for Thanksgiving. They are pricey, but now you get a side and a sauce for your steak with the meal instead of ala carte...hence the higher price per meal. We both had the filet mignonette, medium-rare. It was perfectly done and cut easy as it should. Flavor was fabulous. Good mashed potatoes, corn, and sautéed spinach. We were too full for dessert. Wait staff was professional, friendly, and attentive (not overly). Pricey but the food is well worth it.
I have to admit that I was apprehensive after reading a number of negative reviews on Open Table; I'm glad that I kept our dinner reservation, as everything was very good. First of all, we have eaten at Fiori's numerous times over the years and have experienced several chef and menu changes. (This seemed to be a big deal to a number of previous reviewers "The menu changed!!) Granted, this menu is streamlined and perhaps a bit too restrictive. However, the entrees now come with two sides (ala carte, previously). Seated in a cozy booth (make sure you tell them if you are celebrating something special), we were given plenty of time to peruse the menu, choose our wine, and get some recommendations from our most competent waiter, Kevin. Our entrees were the bone-in ribeye, with sides of mashed potatoes and squash and filet mignon with sides of mashed potatoes and asparagus (vegetable of the day). Cooked to perfection! The ribeye was slightly charred on the outside, and tender and flavorful throughout, as was the filet. There was a little treat brought out with the bread basked (some type of sweetbread, topped with caviar and gold leaf); when we expressed how much we enjoyed them, we were promptly given several more. The wine was quite good, our water glasses were never empty, the birthday dessert was decadent and the coffee just right. Not a single thing to complain about. As I said earlier, we have eaten here a number of times and there are certain items that we miss not having on the menu ... bison steak, wedge salad, lobster mashed potatoes...but things change. We were more than happy with the choices we had. It was quiet and conducive to conversation. Our evening at Fiori's was perfect from start to finish.
Menu has changed some since our previous visit. Gone is the porterhouse steak we loved. Prime rib only on Wednesday now. I ordered what I thought was going to be as named a "house salad" what I got was six little rolled sushi looking things with a little bit of lettuce with cheese sticking out of the top, Cherry tomatoes 3 pieces of 1/2 tomato only, 2 pieces of 1 inch "baby" cucumbers, & a "white" vinaigrette" dressing drizzled on the plate.
The former side choices of vegerables, potatoes etc.are included with the entree now. Very scimpy now. No baked potato side now, although they still have some steak choices which would be better with a baked potato.
The strip steak was cooked perfectly, mashed potatoes were tasty as was the asparagus. Our service people were excellent.
But for us it's not not dining experience we had previously at Fiore's' s Rincon. The menu would have to change for us to go back or recommend it to our friends.
Overpriced, as is usual for a casino-based steakhouse. Menu recently completely overhauled, probably the result of a new head chef. As a result many favorites are gone or completely remade for the worse. Had to wait 30 minutes even though we had reservations and checked in 40 minutes early. Never served water (had to ask at the bar). Service slow and not attentive. Ask for your bill early, as even this process took 20 minutes.
We used to love dining at this restaurant. The food was consistently exceptional on prior visits. However, the quality of the steak and sides has declined. During this visit we were very disappointed with the change of menu options and the lower quality filets and side dishes.
We made a mistake and came an hour later that our reservation, but they were very gracious and accommodating and took us right in instead of turning us away. I thought that was very nice of them to do that, since it was my mistake. It was a little nosier than usual, and the service was a little slower than normal.......I guess just so many diners at that time, but still a great place to eat. My filet mignon was excellent, and they served the birthday girl a complimentary decadent dessert which was delicious!!!
We have enjoyed eating at Fiore whenever we spend a weekend at Harrahs SoCal, the food and service have always been impeccable, until lately. We both had a 9oz filet mignon last night, the cook was perfect, but the flavor was lacking. I like the fact that they are actually serving a plated dinner now rather than ala carte, it does help with the budget. While my steak was lacking in flavor (I actually had to ask for some garlic butter sauce to help), the spaghetti squash was way over seasoned with garlic. I was very happy that my boyfriend and I both had it, it was that pungent. This is the second time that we have been less than thrilled with our meals there.
As for the service, we arrived about 15 minutes early, and although it wasn’t busy, we were told that we wouldn’t be sat until our actual reservation time, ok, time to get tables set and be sure the waitstaff was available, I get it. Our waiter was very nice, we ordered a bottle of wine, he brought it to the table and began to open it....no wine glasses on the table, I’m used to having them already there. We ordered, our dinners came, no steak knives were brought to us, so we had to wait a few minutes, while our meals cooled, to be able to eat. I wasn’t able to finish mine, so asked to have it boxed up, he took it but never brought it back. The last was just a little thing, but he didn’t leave a pen to sign the check with, my purse was too small to put one in it, so again we had to wait for him to come back by and ask for one.
I know that some of the service issues may be trivial, but when we work hard for our money, and splurge on a $200 meal, we would like to have the experience that we were accustomed to having at Fiore. We may be finding somewhere else to eat on our next trip.
Terrible place!!! The food is over priced and not very good. Ordered the scallops. Got 4 scallops for $40 and they were barely edible. They had been treated with some green sauce that was disgusting. The new menu is limited and not very good. Very small selection of entrees. The old menu was much better, but it too was overpriced. Can not find one redeeming feature of our dinner at Fiore's. Will never eat there unless the food is free.
OH FIORE'S WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU?!?!?! I have been to Fiore's at least 30 times in my life, no exaggeration. Just like several of the reviews I have read from other "frequent diners" I have the SAME COMMENTS!! The new Chef has GOT TO GO. In what was the only traditional Steak House in the area, this new Chef is trying to get away from that. Steaks are an afterthought on this tiny new menu. I can't believe how much this new Chef missed the mark. I have been through many of changes at Fiore's believe me. Some good, some not so good, but never has it been this bad before. All of the favorites are gone!! Truffled Lobster Mac... GONE, Charred Brussels (the best I have ever had) GONE, what in the world could this Chef be thinking?? I have my annual Christmas party here every year, but this year it looks like we will be headed to Great Oaks Steakhouse at Pechanga. Normally not as good as Fiore's but after this new Chef's menu, it's not even close. Also, I hear the steakhouse at Pala is excellent as well. Anytime anyone would mention a great restaurant in the area, I would always recommend a must stop place at Fiore's .... NO MORE!! Please let me know when things change again, so I can come back to eat, drink and gamble at Harrahs.
My wife and I were very disappointed. I ordered a bone-in ribeye and my with a filet. The meat quality was priced as if it was choice or prime grade for an upscale restaurant. The meat was not good quality and poorly seasoned and cooked. The sides were substandard spinach and mashed potatoes. The menu was very small and simple and the food for a lack of better word sucked. I think the chef should take some pointers from other steakhouse with similar pricing.
We felt the menu offered several unique items and were very happy with the selections. The scallops were cooked su vid and the lobster was de-constructed. Both were very good.
The service was discreetly unobtrusive and courteous.
Coffee, served with dessert was especially good.
A rather disappointing meal... steak house ran out of filet Mignon! Tomato soup was a strangely thick and whipped consistency... really lousy tasting! Watermelon salad tasted "old".... watermelon was definitely NOT fresh! Had a few eclectic items on the menu but limited variety for the steak house diner! Sad because I've eaten here before and had a good experience... maybe a new chef is in order!!
Normally love the restaurant and recommend to friends. This time the steak was overcooked and the fresh vegetables were salty. We also asked for a baked potato, unfortunately not on the menu anymore, and what they brought was extremely small. We told the waitress that the steak was overdone and she did not ask if we wanted a replacement. Not a great experience this time!
This was our third visit this season. We were surprised to see that the menu has been cut back. Their signature five onion soup is no longer available. We ordered the shrimp (which was $20). The shrimp was small and cut in half with cocktail sauce on the bottom of each shrimp and horseradish sprinkled on top. The presentation was lovely but the shrimp size and amount was disappointing. The filet was excellent. For some reason they called it a summer menu (it was October). Overall we were disappointed since we always looked forward to dining at Fiore
DELISH 😍Love the Lobster roll, and the seafood boil is awesome. Bread is fresh, salads are unique. Wish they had more fish options, but "That Lobster Roll"😎 oh can't forget the yummy cheesecake a must with a hot cup of coffee with a splash of Bailey's Irish Creme 😆
Disappointed to learn the menu has recently been downsized with fewer options. Steaks now come with a choice of 2 sides vice ala carte, buy the options are more limited (along with the choice of steaks). Gone are the brussel sprouts and the even longer gone lobster mashed potatoes which were awesome. Guess there is a new chef as well, since they will no longer split anything between plates except for steaks (like a ceasar salad). Wedge salad is also gone. For long time returning guests, it was overall disappointing from the usual excellent fare. Service was very good, but that is less than half the battle.
If they are moving away from a traditional steak house it would be a mistake. That said, the dishes were very good, including the NOL crawfish and halibut - smaller portions but well prepared and presented. Not sure if they were worrh the price though.
Being caught off guard with the menu changes, my wife and I would have probably preferred to go to the oyster bar for what we had in mind, but would recommend Fiores if you were in the mood for the menu choices. I'd think hard about going back where before it was a no-brainer. Hopefully they will get back on track.
Disappointed in the new menu. Lots of favorites no longer available. Chef not accommodating to switch rice for potatoes not even an offer. Lobster cut up into small pieces as served not on shell for a little kids plates, Rey demeaning. Don't know if will return.
