Fiore Steakhouse - Harrah's Resort - Southern California Ratings and Reviews
This is third time we dined here. We were glad we chose this place for dinner. The menu were very good for I do not eat meat most of the time so glad to chose lobster tail for me and filet mignon for my husband. It was a very good dinner for both of us who does not drink any alcohol beverages for health reasons. Our server was Justin who served us on our wedding anniversary dinner last month. His served us with impeccable timing and we were glad he was our server. Thanks Justin!
We have been traveling and returned for dinner after last dining at Fiore’s 8 months ago. My favorite soup at Fiores was lobster bisque and that was gone. My wife loves the wedge salad and that was gone. The ambience and food appeared to be catered more to Asian cuisine with the plates and menu offers. We went to Pala the following day at the Oaks and were able to receive the food we do enjoy.
We don’t gamble at Pala, but until your menu changes, we will eat at Pala and play at Harrah’s. So, I guess it’s still a win for Harrah’s.
Food is good but the menu needs to have more items on it. Limited selection of entrees and many items now off the menu. The menu was supposed to have been done over with by October and it hasn't changed. Please put the baked potato and rainbow carrots back on as well as the prime rib thru out the week.
I wanted to give Fiore’s a 5 rating because they used to always be outstanding. Unfortunately, in the last 6 months the menu and chef have changed and the experience is not 5 star any longer. For example, why would they remove baked potatoes, wedge salads, and the famous lobster macaroni and cheese from the menu! And Prime Rib is only served on Wednesdays now. Why wreck a good thing? The service and ambience are still 5 star
Overpriced- for sure!
The food was pretty tasty however very expensive. Sliders were the smaller than the size of my palm.
Their "house salad" was unique yet still lacked the hope for a good salad. I will say my 9 oz filet was delicious- but at that price- I won't be back.
I highly recommend stopping for a burger at some fast food place before coming to eat here.
We have been going to Fiore Steak House for several years on New Year's eve. This year was not only very disappointing , but the worst experience food wise ever. The menu has continued to change. The steaks are still very good, however for $54 I do not expect that my side by hard tasteless mashed potatoes and corn corn from a can. My husbands Lobster consisted of Lobster pieces ( 6 very small about 2" long by 3/4") served with 6 cherry tomatoes, 1/2 of arugula and 6 pieces of mandarin oranges. If my husband did not have the oysters as an appetizer - i think he would have been starving. The waitress called the manager, all he could say it that he would bring me garlic butter for the potatoes and that we should come back as their winter menu is changing. The menu consists of 1 page, instead of their old vast menu. The sides are no longer available as an additional option consisting of: lobster mashed potatoes, au-gratin potatoes, Brussels sprouts, etc. They are now limited and included with dinner. The choices: mashed potatoes, spinach, kernel corn. We decide to try desert ( being still hungry) and ordered the chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream. The ice cream came first and that was a disaster. It was Like Ice Milk, meaning each spoon full was all ice. It was either too old or bad ice cream. It did not resemble the old rich creamy vanilla bean previous served over a year ago. We ordered coffee ($9.00 for a pot for 2). When served our cups were filled with coffee grinds. The waiter did replace the pot saying it was broken. All in All If you are looking to spend $200 or more for dinner do not waste your money. Our bill was $209 and I guess Funner doesn't mean an award winning dinner at a expensive 5 star steak house any more. We could have spent $45 at their dinner and had a better experience with a better outcome from their manager. Not away to keep customer retention.
Enjoyable fine dining but with a casual atmosphere. Filet mignon is always cooked to order perfectly! Lobster is always fresh and scrumptious. Fresh vegetables, salads & soup choices are plentiful. Service has always been very attentive and courses are served timely. I highly recommend Fiore as an Excellent Steakhouse Choice for any occasion. Superb!!!!
Fiore changed the menu awhile back to what they called there summer menu, it was awful. We went hoping they had improved the menu, they didn’t. The house salad is four tiny rolled up romaine leaves for a whopping $12. The calamari is raw, with soggy light breading. There is no baked potato, get real this is a steak house. The current menu is very limited. I had gone here several times a year for special occasions, but not anymore.
Good food and drinks, excellent service and comfortable for our group of 6. Reservation was for 3. Three more guests arrived(unexpected family) and the restaurant staff quickly accommodated us on " no"notice. Fiores was very busy that night---sold out reservations and we were very nicely accommodated. All enjoyed the(delicious) food and (just right)beverages and the (exquisite)great service. Liked it so much that 2 of us returned for dinner the next night. The Fiores' staff- from the hosts to the wait staff -were friendly, efficient and courteous throughout our dining experience even though we surprised them by doubling our group. Exceeded my expectations. Great Job.
As usual, the service was very good. Unfortunately, we have to say the steak quality and price need to be improved. Firstly, the Kansas City strip steak was not available even though it is on the menu. We ordered the $64 ribeye steak. It was salty and not worth the price. The two sides - asparagus and spinach were excellent, however.
With other good nearby steak houses (Black and Blue and the excellent porterhouse steak, for example), Fiore needs to step up or risk losing business.
We have been going here for many years. All the waiters are pleasant and good. We have noticed menu changes daily and the last 4 visits no baked potato on the menu. I would think baked potato will be on the menu all the time. I'm a rib-eye steak person but for some reason can't order a good rib-eye at that restaurant anymore like before. I now stick with their salmon and lobster tail. The overall restaurant ambiance is nice, quiet and relaxing.
The meal was disappointing and service was not the best. They ruined the scallops by bleeding them with the pureed beets and wild mushrooms. I was very disappointed and the waiter said they were prepared uniquely but did not tell me they were prepared in the manner they were. or I would not have ordered them. Also, we had to ask for utensils for the dessert and waited along time to get the waiters attention. He seemed to spend more time in the back of the kitchen then he did with the patrons. It seemed like the food was coming out slow and I would hate to see it when the restaurant was even half full.
Went for our 44th wedding anniversary with 3 friends. We had wonderful meal there.
Especially our server-Justin 's service was prompts and his helper(s) were great help too.
All of us doesn't drink any alcohol drinks. But this isn't a reason for us to have a good time and we had good time at Fiore's. We'll go back there again soon. This is from a very strict food critics. I'm traveling all over Japan at least once a year and when in Japan, I go to fancy places to street vendors. I always spot their quality of food, either good or not. Fiore is the place that I will go again. It was that good!
We have eaten at Fiores before and it has always been very nice. I have to admit that it is a bit on the pricey side. The food was generally pretty good. Unfortunately, this time it was just OK and the portions were less than before as well. Although, I have to say that their House Salad was great. The other thing that was a little disappointing was when I made my reservation I mentioned it was for a birthday celebration and they didn't even acknowledge it with a free birthday dessert, not even a verbal "Happy Birthday." Having said all that, we would still go back to eat there.
Wonderful place. go there everytime i'm at Harrah's Rincon. Service outstanding. Food is great. They change the menu from time to time so you can choose somthing different I had Quail with squash and other great tasts added. Salads are supurb! Sides are simple or you can do different. They have the best coffee for that great desert. It's my favorite place!
Great food and presentation. The Caesar salad was phenomenal with a anchovy dressing, fresh parmesan, et al. I had an excellent thick slice of prime rib. Couldn't have been a more delightful and delicious meal, but not cheap! Will definitely dine there again, though! :)
Fiore's is always a special treat when we go to Harrah's SoCal. The food was superb. We had melt in your mouth Filet Mignon with mashed potatoes and spinach. Had really fun salad which was romaine lettuce wrapped in thin cucumber with miniature cucumbers and tomatoes - just a darling plate. Expensive but well worth it for special occasions.
Reservations for family Thanksgiving gathering Servers were very pleasant and gracious. Some in our party were skeptical of having Thanksgiving at a steakhouse but when we informed by Anthony (our server) that turkey was a special item, they were pleased. We really enjoyed the evening!
This was our third dinner here. We usually come Christmas Eve. This was for Thanksgiving. They are pricey, but now you get a side and a sauce for your steak with the meal instead of ala carte...hence the higher price per meal. We both had the filet mignonette, medium-rare. It was perfectly done and cut easy as it should. Flavor was fabulous. Good mashed potatoes, corn, and sautéed spinach. We were too full for dessert. Wait staff was professional, friendly, and attentive (not overly). Pricey but the food is well worth it.
I have to admit that I was apprehensive after reading a number of negative reviews on Open Table; I'm glad that I kept our dinner reservation, as everything was very good. First of all, we have eaten at Fiori's numerous times over the years and have experienced several chef and menu changes. (This seemed to be a big deal to a number of previous reviewers "The menu changed!!) Granted, this menu is streamlined and perhaps a bit too restrictive. However, the entrees now come with two sides (ala carte, previously). Seated in a cozy booth (make sure you tell them if you are celebrating something special), we were given plenty of time to peruse the menu, choose our wine, and get some recommendations from our most competent waiter, Kevin. Our entrees were the bone-in ribeye, with sides of mashed potatoes and squash and filet mignon with sides of mashed potatoes and asparagus (vegetable of the day). Cooked to perfection! The ribeye was slightly charred on the outside, and tender and flavorful throughout, as was the filet. There was a little treat brought out with the bread basked (some type of sweetbread, topped with caviar and gold leaf); when we expressed how much we enjoyed them, we were promptly given several more. The wine was quite good, our water glasses were never empty, the birthday dessert was decadent and the coffee just right. Not a single thing to complain about. As I said earlier, we have eaten here a number of times and there are certain items that we miss not having on the menu ... bison steak, wedge salad, lobster mashed potatoes...but things change. We were more than happy with the choices we had. It was quiet and conducive to conversation. Our evening at Fiori's was perfect from start to finish.
Menu has changed some since our previous visit. Gone is the porterhouse steak we loved. Prime rib only on Wednesday now. I ordered what I thought was going to be as named a "house salad" what I got was six little rolled sushi looking things with a little bit of lettuce with cheese sticking out of the top, Cherry tomatoes 3 pieces of 1/2 tomato only, 2 pieces of 1 inch "baby" cucumbers, & a "white" vinaigrette" dressing drizzled on the plate.
The former side choices of vegerables, potatoes etc.are included with the entree now. Very scimpy now. No baked potato side now, although they still have some steak choices which would be better with a baked potato.
The strip steak was cooked perfectly, mashed potatoes were tasty as was the asparagus. Our service people were excellent.
But for us it's not not dining experience we had previously at Fiore's' s Rincon. The menu would have to change for us to go back or recommend it to our friends.
Overpriced, as is usual for a casino-based steakhouse. Menu recently completely overhauled, probably the result of a new head chef. As a result many favorites are gone or completely remade for the worse. Had to wait 30 minutes even though we had reservations and checked in 40 minutes early. Never served water (had to ask at the bar). Service slow and not attentive. Ask for your bill early, as even this process took 20 minutes.
We used to love dining at this restaurant. The food was consistently exceptional on prior visits. However, the quality of the steak and sides has declined. During this visit we were very disappointed with the change of menu options and the lower quality filets and side dishes.
