This was our first time visiting. Food was delicious. Our waiter was attentive and friendly. We plan to return.
One word AMAZING! Five star plus. The food was exceptional. We will be back!
The restaurant was a nice place. Great dinner and the RAVIOLIS were amazing!
Brilliant Old School Italian spot!! Everything about our dinner at Fior D'Italia was fantastic - from the charming wait staff to the beyond delicious salad, bread & entrees (we had a lasagna, pesto and marsala chicken.) And all for an insanely reasonable price! We can hardly wait to return. Thanks Fior D'Italia for a memorable and delicious evening!
Good food and service. Will be back
Good value Northern Italian. Seems to be have a loyal local following. Service was friendly and attentive.
So enjoyed our visit. My 13 year old vegetarian really enjoyed the Raviloi di Zucca. I had minestrone-3 different varieties, I had the vegetable and it was brothy and chock full of vegetables just how I like it. The lasagna was good as well. The history of the restaurant fascinated my daughter, who wanted to quiz our waiter about it. We didn’t-he was busy but very attentive, as were all the staff. So glad we trekked a few blocks off Columbus to this restaurant. It was a nice experience.
Great old world style Italian food with professional, attentive service.
Exquisite food, superb wine, and excellent customer server service made it a very enjoyable evening.
This place was amazing.
Very friendly staff and the food was a great Italian Cuisine!
I recommend it 100%.
Made me crave Original Joe's. As much as I appreciated the quiet corner of the restaurant that we were seated in, it was almost like we were forgotten.
We had a wonderful time. The food, atmosphere and service was excellent.
We love Fior d’Italia! The service is excellent and everyone is so nice. The food is authentic and delicious! We had dined with them back in November when they had opened up, but then they closed back down again due to the lockdown and had been closed until yesterday. We were so excited to be able to dine there again!
Despite taking reservations, the restaurant was closed and did not notify us.
The Restaurant was not open. When we arrived, it was closed.
I had confirmed reservations but when I got there it was boarded up with no indication that it had been open for a long time!
My two friends who came also were very disappointed in the scene.
You should keep much better contact with your restaurants so that you don't send erroneous messages to their clients. I drove 115 miles to get to San Francisco to attend to my business and was looking forward to a wonderful re-experience in a restaurant that I know very well from my many previous visits there. Fortunately I found an excellent restaurant so the evening was not a complete loss.
When we arrived at the restaurant it was all boarded up. Why did they take a reservation if they weren’t open.
This restaurant is closed. Please remove it from Open Table. We did not know it was closed until we showed up, and then we were not able to get a reservation anywhere else.
It was not open when we arrived for our reservation.
It was closes
Our favorite place in The City by far. Wonderful meal, wine selection, service, ambiance. It couldn’t be better. Really sorry to see it closed down by the governor and the mayor-outside dining was very, very safe and the staff were very, very careful. Can’t wait for it to reopen-we will be the first ones to come back. We will miss you, Fior!
One of our absolute San Francisco favorites. The food and hospitality are always perfect.
Love this restaurant. Food is great and service is excellent. warm and friendly.
The service, as well as the food, was terrific!
Buonissimo! The service was spectacular and the food was so yummy! My parents dined back in 1996 for their 7th wedding anniversary and were gifted Sambuca glasses from the restaurant. My mom ended up accidentally breaking on the glasses years later, and emailed Fior d’Italia and telling them the sad story. They no longer had the Sambuca glasses but sent her a few wine glasses for her to gift my dad for their 25th wedding anniversary! Here we are years later and I just moved here in August. We had been patiently waiting for the restaurant to open up and I’m so happy they finally did. The wait was well worth it!! Grazie mille!
We are so happy they have reopened--they haven't missed a step--our server, Israel was outstanding, the food was delicious, the service impeccable! This has become our favorite restaurant in The City.
Half the lunch menu wasn't available. Italian restaurant "out of" meatballs, "out of" sausage" ... Didn't leave too much else to select. Then I didn't get my open table points, even though the reservation was made through open table, presumably because my husband picked up the tab.
Food consistently good! Staff pleasant & enjoyed live music
Wonderful restaurant, incredible food. I was there with my nephew and his girlfriend. I had the burrata salad which I shared and we had the gnocchi, spaghetti pesto, and the prawns. Every thing was incredible. Hoping the small crowd was due to a Monday night...
Any restaurant where the noise level is low gets five stars from me.....plus the food was excellent.
A very nice "off the beaten path" restaurant. Food was traditional and we enjoyed our Veal Piccata and the Bolognese. The pasta tasted really fresh. Especially enjoyed the atmosphere with the piano playing the background, not a bunch of load music blaring so we actually enjoyed talking to each other during dinner!!
Having lived in SF as a child, I remember Fior fondly. And coming back after all these years it didn't disappoint. The service was warm, personal and just the right amount. Attention to every detail. Lovely piano music in was played. White table clothes and a great wine list. Amazing traditional Italian food and perfect recommendations. If you want a throw-back Italian dinner that is reminiscent of old SF (from the oldest Italian restaurant in the US!) try Fior. Parking was also easy (and while they have valet, it wasn't active on this Thursday evening).
We couldn’t ask for a better experience.
Wonderful Restaurant for business and pleasure!!!
Service was superb
Service was poor - in fact pathetic. This was my marriage anniversary and I had chosen to go to that restaurant and it was an absolute disaster of a choice.
Always a great experience here. Lalo and the staff are amazing. The food and drinks great
Had jazz music! Amazing old world experience!
Fabulous
Great ambiance and a friendly staff
Nice happy hour at the bar.
As usual, Fior was a wonderful place for lunch. Intimate atmosphere, great food and service, our waiter Gil was wonderful. It is our “go to” place in the City.
Great place . Authentic .
