The service is very bad as the server didn’t even have patience to explain the food I wanted. Obviously was rude. But the environment was great it was quite and there was a guy playing piano. Service very slow. Definitely not coming again. The food is ok, not really authentic for Italian pasta.
The experience was phenomenal! The atmosphere was fabulous, music was just right, not too loud. We all loved it and we will return.
Second time back to this location to celebrate my husband's birthday as a tiny family of 3. Jan 2 is a pretty awkward time to have a birthday. We asked for in advance and were seated at a fabulous booth, where we could laugh and joke around in a delightful setting. No one bothered us; we didn't bother them. However, we did lose track of time... and when we looked up, we had closed the restaurant down! So much fun had by all.
Great meal in s great institution
Unfortunately very poor service, poor quality food, and noisy from poor music. Hard to swallow all this disappointment at the high prices charged. Would not recommend!
Lovely small Italian place. Pasta was AMAZING. Service was fast. A wee bit on the noisier side, but still enjoyable.
We had a wonderful Christmas celebration with our grown children and their spouses. This is just the kind of restaurant that reminds my husband of his Brooklyn family roots. We loved it all!
Friends recommended this place for the food and history. The food and ambience were very good. What I did not care for that from my table I could see through to another room where chairs were stacked high like as if it was a storage room. That part took away from the classy feel of the main dining room where we sat.
Great service, excellent food, nice ambience. Old school Italian done very very well. Close to Cobb’s Comedy Club for a short walk after dinner for the show.
We had a delicious meal there!
We loved the menu, food and wine. Exactly what we were hoping for.
The service was friendly but not attentive.
The live music was a real treat too.
Wonderful family dinner that was made extra special by the excellent food, professional service, and wonderful circular booth. I would definitely return.
I think they were a little overwhelmed on the night we were there. Service was friendly but slow. Food was good but they were out of many things. I would try again on a less busy night.
Christmas dinner was delicious. The wait staff and bartenders were very friendly considering how busy they were. I had the chicken Mattone. My husband had the rabbit Both were delicious! My Cesar salad was probably one of the best. And I’m pretty picky.
It was great!!
Fabulous food and service on Christmas Day. Thank you so much!
our second time for Christmas dinner. Enjoyed ordering off menu instead of prefix. michael was our waiter,
he was over busy but always polite. Needed more bus boys to help on this busy completely full day
Siamo stati a festeggiare il nostro Natale
Il posto mi è’ piaciuto e l’atmosfera di gente perbene è normale italoamericana e anche no
La pasta però pessima
Possibile che sia così difficile fare un buon piatto di spaghetti ?
Early Christmas dinner. Our waiter was outstanding. Great holiday experience.
Very nice lunch.
Fiore d’Italia - loved it for years when I lived in SF. As wonderful as ever in its new location!
They did a fantastic job on Christmas Eve with a packed house. Bartenders and servers were all wonderful and the food and ambiance was holiday perfect besides! Fior is still and always a San Francisco gem!
Good service and good food. The olive oil and garlic with bread was great and the garlic that we asked to go with it was outstanding. They must grow there own garlic!
Xmas eve dinner - 3d year in a row for us here. Very festive place and great food. Service wasn’t as friendly this time for some reason though. Otherwise awesome place.
My husband and I had a lovely Christmas Eve dinner. Everything was delicious. The restaurant was decorated beautifully. Our server was very sweet!! Grazie mille!!
Unfortunately the attention to the quality of food has gone down. The service was good but it could not make up for the food. Sorry as this was always a classic for my family.
Everything is always terrific. They continue to have the best gnocchi there is. Great service and terrific food.
very nice restaurant. Superior service, feels like a local family restaurant. We are from out of town and were there for the holidays. Friendly service and a very good selection of meals. excellent bread! All of our pasta dishes were excellent.
To be honest, I WANTED to like the place. But not sure if it was just not "their night" or what. Service really seemed rather poor for a place that has been around for that long. Waited almost 15 mins after our reservation time to sit down. Waited a while to get initial order (or anyone to come to table) Food was good, not great. Place seemed like it wanted to be liked, but something was just off. Not well use of staff from what we could see.
Exceeded our expectations. 80% of the tables were full. My wife had the veal which was perfectly cooked and extremely tender. I had the tortellini which came with a delicious cream sauce. The added freshly grated Parmesan cheese was a treat. We had a $44 bottle of wine but their selection goes up to $350. Our server was friendly, attentive, listened to us and went at our pace. Say yes to the bread.
Nice menu, generous portions, quite a nice wine list.
Great Place for a perfect dinner in the city. Food and Service was fantastic. Will certainly be back.
cI had there on a Thursday night around seven thirty. The dining room was about half full and was pretty quiet. The place has an authentic atmosphere, the menu is traditional Northern Italian cuisine and my server was the genuine Italian article. Knolledgeable on both the food and wines. I ordered the spaghetti with meatballs and a glass of nice Chianti which the waiter recommended. The pasta was cooked as it should be au dante. The sauce tasty but the meatballs were only average. All in all it was a nice experience.
nice and quiet on a Tuesday.. $300 for 6 people all in. Loved it.
Live jazz that played until 5:30, but afterwards we could have conversations with being load. The fresh pasta is very good.
Great place to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday!
Fior D'Italia is classic San Francisco. It's a solid spot, affordable, and good place for family dinners or big groups. Really loved our dinner there. Great seafood pasta dish.
We were taken care of from the moment we walked in the door. Service and food was top notch, made us feel like family. Well done!
The service was amazing and beyond friendly and loving
I have always wanted to try this restaurant and we finally made it. It used to be in North Beach and then burned down. The new one is very old San Francisco with leather booths and lovely dining room.
There is also a bar scene with lots of locals. It was good value for the money. My husband's steak we more than he could eat so he took half of it home and the same for me and the mushroom risotto.
Big portions. The food is kind of old fashion Italian in that it is the regular suspects on the menu.
We did enjoy it and they were able to accommodate our early reservation.
I think it is a neighborhood place.
