Had a large party reservation for 645pm. Arrived at 645pm and our table wasn't ready. No worries as they set it up fast. Everyone was friendly. Delicious food. Great service. Only wish they would have acknowledged the birthday we were celebrating as noted in our reservation.
The waiter did a superb job to serve me with my favorite beer, GUINNESS and served us special reception in respect of Ireland's Ambassador retirement party. Thank you to Martin for everything that made us a special afternoon gathering with Ballyshaners and Ancient Order Hibernian. Thank you to Fiona's! Cheers.
My husband, daughter, and I went for the Irish experience, and we got it! The food and drink were both very very good. The server was attentive without being overbearing, and we didn't lack for anything. Will definitely go back! P.S. Either don't get an appetizer or plan to take food home as it will likely be too much!
Food was very good and our server was very attentive. Enjoyed the meal .
Very accommodating with seat preference. Service was excellent.
Food was good, the waitress forgot our appetizer. Seemed to rush us through our meal and then asking if we wanted dessert before we were even ½ way through our meal. When we did order dessert she brought the wrong one. She did bring us our correct dessert and said she put it on her tab, which is the only reason service got two stars. If I had not had better service in the past, I would not be back.
Good Irish food. Had Kilkenny on nitro tap which is not common in US I think. Lots of space and bar with live sports coverage.
Fiona's is always great. We go there quite often for the food and service. It can be quite noisy at times though, but the food overcomes that.
This is one of my favorite restaurants. The food is delicious, and the service is always great. The staff is awesome! If you're looking for a good Irish restaurant, you can't go wrong with Fiona's. I highly recommend it.
Perfect spot for a family get together the evening before our celebration of life for my brother-in-law.
Food and service are always excellent. Noise level a bit high, but always a great place for dinner.
Exceptional soups -- this adventure was potato soup and it was the best. The burgers are delicious. Portions are plentiful and usually enough to take-home. Service was faultless. The only criticism: NEVER bring the main course while the customer is still enjoying the appetizer!
Enjoy a meal for St. Patrick's day.
Food, service and ambiance great.
But please turn down the music.
Couldn't hear the person across the table.
I know it was a busy day but when music is loud people speak louder which makes everything louder. Hard to hear the serving staff.
Think about your customer's and your service staff.
Early St Patricks Day celebration.
This was our first visit to Fiona's. We had a fantastic time. It had a great feel/vibe and everyone was super friendly. The manager even stopped by and welcomed us as newbies.
Guiness: done right-nuf said!
Wings: excellent, definitely will get these agin. Very meaty and nicely spiced
Shepherds pie: very good
Bangers & mash: good but turns out we are not fans of bangers (our mistake). Taste was OK but did not like the texture/consistency.
Irish coffee: wow
Bread pudding: OMG-amazing. You MUST save room for this. And it is enough for 3 people.
And we were lucky to be there fr live music which we greatly enjoyed.
My husband enjoyed our meal quite a bit! The service was friendly and prompt. There were a lot of people there but not too many to make it too crowded. Meal selections were very good. The only drawback was that they ran out of both an appetizer and a dessert that we real had our hearts set on. We will definitely come back though!
service was very slow and it was extremely loud. I was literally yelling across the table to be heard by my friends. place was packed - good for you; but not a place on a Saturday night to go and enjoy a meal with friends to talk.
The menu had lots of options. The staff seemed friendly and helpful but the time we were there they were understaffed making the wait time a bit long. The food was cooked to perfection and very tasty.
Excellent food, great service, nice atmosphere! Valentine's dinner was superb!
A great Irish restaurant out in the burbs, with plenty of parking, in a town-center area with a movie theater and shopping nearby. Great for dinner/drinks before or after a movie or shopping
We were there for Valentine's Day. We were seated immediately, but it seemed to take forever for a server to come and take our drink and menu order. We ordered from the special Valentine's menu. It took quite a while for our iced tea to be delivered. When the meal came it was wrong. We got a Rocket Salad, instead of the mixed green salad that was supposed to come with the meal. The server told us the main course came with broccoli but it came with asparagus. The person who delivered the meal said broccoli came with the regular menu. We do not eat asparagus. So we sent it back and I requested the parsnip/carrot mash with my meal and my wife, the broccoli.
When the meal came back the parsnip/carrot mash was barely room temperature as was the brown rice that came with both meals (on previous occasions we have noticed that Fiona's often serves the meals at room temperature. Very annoying and we have mentioned this to them several times). My Salmon and Brie tasted very good, but was also just slightly above room temperature. My wife's steak was also done perfectly. Once our meal was served our server disappeared. We were about 3/4 through the meal before we got a refill on our teas. When the meal was done the server came with the dessert (a Bailey's Chocolate mousse which was delicious). However, he neglected to take our dirty entree plates off the table. and just plopped the dessert down next to our dirty dishes. He said he would be right back with a refill for our teas - 10 minutes later he returned with the tea, and took away the dirty plates. He came with the bill very quickly however. Overall, it was not a good experience for our special night out.
The menu was not very exciting and the beer was okay. Having somewhere to go to listen to live music in February is great. It was a nice place to go for a few beers, dinner and live entertainment. Their bread pudding was fantastic!
The service was over the top. I can't remember when I have been taken better care of. The food was excellent and the beer/wine list is extensive. The atmosphere is exactly what one would expect in an Irish pub, boisterous and lively. All-around it is a great dining experience.
This was my first visit to Fiona's. It is a neighborhood gem. Lovely decor, fantastic service and great food. I'm sure it's a very popular night spot with its lovely bar and fireplace.
Food was a little slow coming out of kitchen, but we were entertained by the excellent guitar player in the bar--plus we could see the hockey game.
When the food got there--it was delicious and we had fun in the energetic atmosphere.
We will definitely return there.
This is the second time we have been to Fiona's but it was not as good as the first. My dinner came out cold and the cabbage was so over done it was inedible. The oil for the fish and chips was not the freshest and everything came out pretty dark; but tasted much better than my dish! The wings are delicious! Highly recommend them with the Guinness BBQ sauce! I'm chalking it up to a bad night by the kitchen staff but I hope that it will be back to the amazing food we had there the first time!
Great meal! Excellent service. Honey atmosphere. Was told about this place bt friends. Will definitely come again.
Both in my party ordered the prime rib special and both were overcooked. I sent mine back because I ordered med-rare. My lportion was the end piece
of the prime rib...dry and well done. They replaced my prime rib with a steak as the two servings we got were the last of the prime rib. First they shouldn't have served the end piece and definitely not knowing full well it was well done. The complimentary replacement steak was rare so I didn't eat that either. The staff did their best to make it right and gave complimentary drinks and a complete second full meal. The sides were good and baileys chocolate mousse phenomenal. The waitress was also excellent. I'll give it a second chance.
Christmas Eve dinner with family. Couldn't have been any better service.
Great neighborhood restaurant. The service is outstanding. Our server was Shiek. We've had him many times before. He makes the dining experience for us.
One of the better Irish styled pubs in the Northern VA area. Great food and service. High marks!
A nice casual restaurant when the wife doesn't feel like cooking.
Fiona's is always good! A bit noisy, the food is wonderful.
The menu does not change much which can get kind of boring but overall is still delicious food and libations at a reasonable price.
Good food, good service, reasonable prices; a fine place to visit with friends!
Messed up our reservation and seated our group of 6 in the bar area. Service was inconsistent and food was OK. Hopefully this was just a one off experience.
Everyone was very friendly and everyone was having a great time. I went when there was live music. Food was great!
I have been here before, and I LOVE this place. The food is amazing, the service is very good, and it was a little loud, but it was because there was a live band playing. Overall, outstanding restaurant!
Fiona's is a nice neighborhood restaurant. The food is very good; however the portions are much too large. I like enjoying the items that are not on every menu. It is a nice place to eat on the way to a movie at Kingstowne.
We arrived as a party of 8 on a Friday night and were seated right away. Outstanding service, really good food. I'll return soon!
They have the best Reuben in town. We have enjoyed everything that we we tried. Great modern Irish food.
