The level of food and service has risen considerably since I last dinned at Fiola. It has become considerably more sophisticated. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience .
No one noticed despite the fact that I included in the reservation.
Wonderful meal with family to celebrate a graduation! Everything was delicious, service outstanding, and the staff made the whole family feel special! I would recommend to anyone celebrating a special event!
Charming, sophisticated, and elegant, Fiola is a perfect setting for a special occasion or just a serious foodie. While at first I was concerned about being seated near the back of the restaurant, it turned out to be much more private and romantic. The various menus provide a plethora of options, the wine and drink lists are extensive, and the service is truly stellar. Every single course I had was simply fantastic. My only complaint is that it is on the pricier end for even a Michelin-starred restaurant, but if you can afford it, it’s a no-brainer.
Great service, great food. Fantastic!
One of the loveliest restaurants I have ever dined at! Each course was magnificent and delicious. It’s very expensive but worthwhile for a special evening. The service is impeccable
Waiter John thoroughly explained not only the components of the meal, but also the history behind each.
The service was excellent. All presented in a choreographed manner that was spot on.
Staff was courteous and polite.
Food was superb. There were three of us and we all ordered differently so that we could share. Everyone enjoyed each other’s meal as much as their own.
Very pleasurable experience.
My expectations for a Michelin Star rated restaurant were extremely high and left disappointed. Although the service was superb, the food was only OK. We chose the 4 course menu and the dishes were beautifully presented but did not wow me at all. I was looking forward to the Rosemary-smoked Mishima Wagyu Beef and was shocked that the meat was tough. The best part of the meal was the dessert, The Fiola Rocher was absolutely amazing! Unfortunately, for the price tag, don't think I would recommend.
Food was good except arctic char had a bone in it.
Service was slow for fairly empty dining room
Sat at the bar area and bartender forgot to return the bill and credit card.
Fiola very much deserves its Michelin star. Everything from the food, the service, the ambiance, even the menu's are excellent. I honestly can't think of a single thing that I didn't enjoy about my dining experience there.
Thought it was a DC dining destination and it was! Food and drink superb. Service was spot on. Not overwhelming but neither did I have to ask for a thing.
Amazing! The service and food were spectacular!
Excellent service. Most excellent cuisine. The use of morel mushrooms and other local and well sourced ingredients make Fiola an absolute standout. The lobster ravioli is exquisite, but so is everything else. Well done!
Perfection- start to finish. What a beautiful experience.
Phenomenal service and the food was outstanding. A bit expensive but well worth it.
Fiola is one of my favorite restaurants in DC. If I could describe it in three words it would be “consistent, quality dining.”
The food, ambiance, service, and overall environment is outstanding, and I’m always pleasantly surprised by how excellent everything turns out, even when going in when high expectations. If you want to treat yourself to fine dining, this is the place to go.
I especially love the lunch three course prix fixe meals (at $28 it’s a steal). The dishes are always perfectly sized and presentation is lovely. You can tell that there was a lot of care put not just into cooking the food, but also a lot of thought into the ingredients and techniques used. They’re always perfectly balanced and seasoned. Drink wise, there’s a good selection of cocktails and wines, but I actually really enjoy the mocktails that are available. I find them delicious and fun.
The service from Fiola staff is always impeccable. They’re attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable of the menu. The decor is always tasteful. There’s great lighting in the restaurant (not terribly dark nor bright) and the sound level is quite nice for having a conversation.
Really delicious food. Lovely ambience. Great service.
The food and service was amazing and I will definitely go back there.
First Michelin experience and absolutely lived up to my expectations. Dinner was the best I have ever had and the service was impeccable.
The tables are very close.
We've celebrated our anniversary here two years in a row. The service is always excellent and the food is amazing. I highly recommend for any special occasion!
Elegant as usual. Food, wine, service and ambience all up to Fiola's usual standard.
The service was outstanding, the food was best I’ve ever had (although I don’t get to this level of dining too often). And the price was probably in the correct range for location and quality (again outstanding. Frois gras was decadent, Agnello alsodone just right. Loved the experience!
This is a pretty high-end [cost] dining experience, but the dining experience is extraordinary. Exquisite food, prepared and presented brilliantly, and a staff that is outstanding in their attentiveness and genuine friendliness.
The food and service at Fiola are always outstanding. It is my #1 choice for business dinners or special occasions.
Fiola is my favorite restaurante in DC, has the best food. continue keeping the quality
Came here and really got to experience the ambiance of the restaurant and staff. We went with Fabio’s Grand Tasting Menu and it did not disappoint. Great flavors, excellent plating and it got us stuffed! With wine pairings and bottle it can get a little pricey. But the food was worth it.
Very unique experience, amazing food. We celebrated my boyfriends’s birthday here and did the four course tasting menu. It gave us the chance to try a lot of different dishes. It is a more expensive place to dine but it’s worth it, especially for something unique/different. Service was also impeccable.
Nice restaurant and setting, service without being professional was kind of impersonal . Easter week end make it to be quiet . Food exceptional
Staffs are all kind and friendly. The presentation of dishes are fantastic. Lobster Ravioli is the best I have ever had. Fantastic!
Overall the service...the ambiance and food was absolutely outstanding...we are looking forward to going back.
The best in DC. - really
The restaurant was very empty (it was lunch time). I walked in with two of my colleagues and asked to be seated, and the “hostess” took one look at us (dressed in our business attire) and said the restaurant was booked and that they could not seat us without a reservation. We walked out, I stopped at the door, made a reservation on Open Table and walked back in. There was a different host at the stand when we re-entered who seated us WITHOUT even referencing our reservation. Miraculously, they had plenty of seats.
It was very clear to me and my colleagues why the young lady did not want us there and quite frankly it is shameful that in 2019, on Pennsylvania Ave., in DC that the color of one’s skin still gets you booted out of a restaurant. I shared this interaction with the manager, who was more interested in explaining the inter workings of the Open Table app as opposed to apologizing for this woman’s, his employee’s, horrific conduct.
I will NEVER patronize this restaurant!
Would recommend for only a special event. The restaurant is extremely expensive. The food was good, but only two items were exceptional. The rest was just good. Questionable whether the restaurant is worth the money
Yes except it is extremely expensive even for D.C. expensive restaurants.
One of the best meals I've had at the Fiola family of restaurants; great options and I loved all my choices. Our server, Ann, and the staff were outstanding. I couldn't have asked for a more wonderful evening. I'll definitely be back.
The food was unparalleled. The service impeccable. Everything from start to finish was perfect. Very expensive but worth every penny!
Inattentive service. Tough flavorless veal. Cold foie gras. Cold atmosphere. Noisy. Expensive and underwhelming.
No particular occasion, just wanted a nice lunch with my daughter to catch up and to pamper ourselves. Fiola does that beautifully. Wait staff is unobtrusive and efficient. Our Server was so knowledgeable about the wines and how they paired with what we ordered eat. She was spot on with her recommendations and we had a delicious and pleasant experience. Everything, from the first course to the cappuccinos, was made with utmost care to both taste and appearance. A wonderful meal.
Excellent for specual occasions. Both the food and the service were outstanding.
