Great food. Crowded. Waiters was too busy.
Excellent food,service,and ambiance!
We had a lovely time. The table and the view of the POTOMAC was perfect! The food delicious, the staff professional, we couldn’t have picked a better restaurant to celebrate our daughter’s post graduation! Thank you.
The food was outstanding as was the service. I made a reservation for a birthday celebration, and the restaurant was very accommodating.
I couldn’t have gone to a better restaurant for my PhD celebration!
Another fabulous dining experience. My dinner guest was blown away by the exceptional food, location, and service. We had a lot of fun! Thank you so much.
We went there for our anniversary lunch and sat outside. Service was great. The food was wonderful. And lots of people watching.
I loved the nautical décor - everything was beautiful, food was delicioso - and what really impressed me was the card they gave me congratulating me on my 20th anniversary at work! That was very much appreciated and outstanding!!
The restaurant is beautiful and the food is excellent. The only problem was as it got busy the service got slow. Long wait between lunch and offer for dessert.
Outside dining for lunch on a beautiful day!! The soft shell crab is delicious. If cocktails are not your thing in the mIddle of the day, try one of their healthy blends.
I went for my birthday and was truly treated like a queen! The champagne and lobster ravioli was amazing. My waitress Marian was very attentive and enthusiastic =)
This place is always a pleasure to the palate! On this day I was with a gluten sensitive diner, and I feel our waitress understood this PERFECTLY. I hate I didn't write her name down, she was exceptional! We started with the mussels and sashimi, both were delicious. We shared the Adriatic mixed grill, wow! We were both thrilled! My son ordered the cavatelli and was just as happy with his choice. Our sweet waitress surprised us with a complimentary gluten free cake that was AMAZING! (This was a congrats for the recent college grads in our group). The whole experience was wonderful!
My fiance and I came here for dinner to celebrate our recent engagement and his graduation. The staff were so sweet and brought us free champagne and a dessert at the end of the meal!!! The service was exceptional and while she was very attentive, we never felt rushed and were really able to enjoy our meals. Every dish we got was absolutely delicious!! While it is a little pricey, it was definitely worth it!
The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming. The John Dory with morels was amazing! A most attentive wait staff made our experience memorable.
The restaurant is overpriced. The valet parking is $16. Appetizers were $20 +. For our main course, we were served a Dover sole dish for $65. We were told it was sufficient for two people. We were delivered two small filets each. The fish was only lukewarm. Amazingly, there was nothing else on the plate other than the fish. When did we reach the point that we need to buy a side dish (for $10 +) in order to complete a serving. There was no rice or quinoa to complement the fish. Luckily, we ordered the (overpriced) asparagus. We were admonished by the wait staff that we did not return the fish when we discovered that the fish was too cold. However, we were famished and therefore could not wait for the problem to be rectified. Even the Chenin Blanc that we ordered was overpriced. I will say that the restaurant attempted to rectify the fish faux-pas by offering us dessert gratis. However, for the amount of money we spent on this meal (there were four of us), we expected so much more (think of Inn at Little Washington). I would surely recommend that Tom Sietsma of the Washington Post re-evaluate his recommendation for this restaurant.
We Fiola Mare. It's expensive but definitely worth it as a special occasion dining experience.
Unbelievable food and service. One must really pay Fiola Mare a visit on not only special occasions but whenever one has the chance. Truly exceptional!
We were excited to bring out of town guests to your restaurant on Saturday. Unfortunately, our table was located in the corner next to the wine room (which meant there was a lot of foot traffic by our table). The whole room felt very secondary. Though the service was prompt, it was in fact too quick with the server asking for our dinner orders only moments after receiving our cocktails. The entire meal felt rushed. I then ordered the seafood brodetto (I may be spelling this incorrectly, but I can't find the menu item I had on your website). It tasted like seafood covered in bourguignon sauce. The sauce was heavy and felt mis-paired with the seafood.
Always a delightful experience, wonderful creative food, excellent service, and a great ambiance.
Special and outstanding in every way! Warm, efficient wait staff. Varied menu beautiful setting.
The food and service were excellent. We like good wine but are not oenophiles, so a few more moderately priced wines on the wine list would have been helpful; as it was, the wine cost about one-third of the total cost, not inconsequential, of the meal.
I had a great time with my wife, baby and co-worker. Great place for business and family gatherings.
We were celebrating our 20th Anniversary and the staff went out of their way to include extra special details! We had a delicious meal and the ambiance was exactly what we were looking for! We would would definitely recommend it, as well as visit this beautiful restaurant again!
I booked a table for my husbands birthday. I put a note when I booked of the special occasion as we have never been to DC. We got seated close to the waterfront and when he opens his menu it said “Happy Birthday”. The waiter we had was amazing and did great recommendations. At the end of our dinner we ordered desert which is when they brought out a small desert for my husband with a Birthday card. Really made the overall experience and celebration special.
Lobster ravioli was a little fishy. Wage beef was outstanding.
Very nice time for my wife’s birthday. Miguel was fantastic as was the entire meal. We’re headed to Italy in a couple of weeks and this was a terrific way to begin our voyage.
Wonderful service and great food
The food looks good, the service is OK. Love to eat outside in this season, comfortable and beautiful.
Great food, great service. Overall wonderful experience
This is our favorite DC restaurant and we come here whenever visiting the city. Fabulous food, service.
and vibrant atmosphere every time!!
Great place ! Excellent service and the food was delicious.
Exc lent service and food. Expect a very high price point but the quality and service are worth it.
My lobster ravioli were lukewarm. We requested an outdoor table (plenty were available) and they said no then seated others outdoors. Limited menu for non-fish eaters
Great experience Aaron and megumi these two made out wedding anniversary special and the sea robin tasted super delicious
This was our second and probably last visit. The restaurant is very pretty with wonderful waterside setting. The staff is helpful but isn't necessarily warm. Both times the food varies from bad to just OK, never any GREAT food, and at these prices, that just doesn't cut it. For example, at brunch, the crab benedict just has a crab sauce on top of the now incredibly soggy english muffin, no real crab meat on the dish at all. And, again, at that price, just bad business.
Maureen our server was outstanding! She made it a wonderful experience
Absolutely delicious, tasty, good wine selection. Will go back
The food was good, not spectacular compared to other well-known seafood restaurants, and was over-priced. The half entree of tortellini pasta stuffed with braised rabbit consisted of TWO tortellini pieces for $15 - $20, one each for two people. The serving was smaller than a regular appetizer serving and should not be presented as an entree. The service and ambiance was good but the noise level was at times distracting. The view of the Potomac is a nice feature of the place.
What a beautiful experience. The food and service were really spectacular. We treated ourselves to the tower of seafood and it was extraordinary, plus many other wonderful dishes. The service was impeccable from everyone. We really enjoyed ourselves. It was one of our more expensive meals, so really it should be saved for a special celebration or when you just want to treat yourselves!
