Great wine and food experience.
As a regular customer, I was disappointed on this occasion. No bread was offered to the table, long waits for food despite the restaurant being less than half full.
We were just having the lunch menu without drinks and felt like second class customers.
Agnolotti were too salty!
Always our favorite place! It just doesn’t get any better!
Sloooooow! We had to search for waitstaff for everything we needed. On the plus side, the food was very good. Ask to be seated in the main area. If you get stuck in a side room you will be ignored.
Atmosphere was gorgeous, service impeccable, however we had an obligation... chose very early dining slot, 5:15. The Bisque was lukewarm, however flavors outstanding. Felt a bit rushed through service. Of course 7pm is prime time, with that said, would come back again next time in Georgetown. Foodies, from Chicago
Fantastic thanksgiving menu, everything was superb!
Fabulous as usual. Initially conducted to what may have been the worst table for two, we politely objected, and were brought to perhaps the very best table for two on the waterside. Frankly, this has happened twice before, and it is not because we were recognized. The prix-fixe Thanksgiving menu was a wonder, from the innovative cocktails to the inventive deserts, with all sorts of culinary and presentation feats in between, including a soup with the flavor of sea urchins served in a squash bowl. The char was the most delicate, flakey such fish I have ever had. Even the spinach, which risks being pedestrian, was special in its preparation and sauce. The service was the very best I have experienced in years in a top-class restaurant. This was so much better than slogging through conventional Thanksgiving fare at home.
We had a wonderful time, our server Ben was outstanding and the Somm's selections were spot on!
We had our Thanksgiving dinner at Fiola Mare and we would go back in an instant. The staff was warm, friendly and attentive. The food was incredible. It was the best Thanksgiving dinner we have ever had.
Outstanding service in a beautiful location. Food was fresh and tasty but a bit on the pricey side. Would recommend for special occasions.
Absolutely delicious and we loved it! Will go back every time we are visiting DC!!
We tried Fiola Mare for our anniversary. The food was exceptional. The service was great. Our table was close to the kitchen (and not the river) and as such, was a bit loud. We did enjoy watching the production in the kitchen. As you would expect, it is pricey.
Outstanding food, knowledgeable and friendly service, and quiet and refined (but also easygoing) ambience. Extravagant wine list with many excellent choices, and good advice from sommelier.
Really an amazing experience. We will definitely be back!
Birthday celebration for 3. Everything was excellent especially the food and service and ambiance!
I am very happy we chose your restaurant for my girlfriend's birthday ,service was amazing .Love the environment and our waiter Doug did a phenomenal job I would highly recommend your place to everyone Thank you for a wonderful evening!!!
Our server was fantastic, she was so knowledgeable about the menu and helped steer us in the right direction for our food choice. Everything was so delicious! Definitely have to come back next time I’m in town!
We waited until a booth at the window opened up and it was worth the wait! But the whole place is lovely. And we have the 3 course lunch - every bit fantastic! Highly recommend!
Everything was top notch! Worth it for a special occasion
Good food albeit pricey. Strange selection of music. Excellent service
Service was professional and friendly. The prices are sky high for pasta and portion size. ($60 for ravioli is highway robbery). We eat in high end restaurant all over the world and felt taken advantage of. We live in NYC and are used to high prices but did not get dazzled for the experience.
I used the ladies room before I left after dinner and was appalled at how messy and unattended it was. Left a bad taste.
For the fourth time I praise Fiola Mare. This evening was, by far, the best experience. Two brunch meals were wonderful but did not measure up to the dinner this time.
Fish, risotto, and mixed seafood dishes were each extraordinary, and the waitstaff was perfect.
It was great. We really enjoy this restaurant.
The best meal for flavor presentation and service! We counted 8 different members of staff that had something to do with serving our dinner. We wished we lived nearby. The dining experience rates in the top five and we have eaten around the world in five star establishments.
We asked to speak with the Sommelier after waiting 30 minutes we selected a wine without her/his help which we did not like. The Sommelier never came to apologize. The food was fine but we did not find the experience a good value; we love fine dining and don’t mind paying for excellence, but this experience was just good and when accounting for price, the value was poor.
Excellent, the food and the service absolutely fantastic
One of our favorite restaurants. Outstanding food. Salads are astonishing, unusual and delicious. The “Maria” lunch, 3 courses for $28 is a fabulous deal.
While this was the most expensive restaurant I have ever been to, it might have also been the best. The food was AMAZING! We celebrated my wife's birthday there. The service was impeccable and the atmosphere was awesome. It was expensive, but worth it for a special occasion.
Undercooked gloppy fish- hard pass
Scallops were served thinly sliced- raw with raw mushrooms on top- wtf is that?
Very low quality ingredients for what they charge. The mussels were also raw and old and chewy
The halibut was slimy and wet
The clams were bitter and the noodles not al dente by any stretch
Skip the hype this place is only good to be seen ; not to enjoy a night out with your wife
We were there for my husband’s 60 th birthday. It was perfect. The level of service from our waiter, Alex, and Stefania, the director of customer experience, was nothing short of outstanding. We’ll back sooner rather than later. My husband loves that you have Kerner on the wine list.
Great service! Servers and management were extremely attentive. Came by every now and then to see how things were. I didn’t like the sauce on my halibut but didn’t have the heart to tell them. . They gave us some nice sweets as a bonus since we didn’t order dessert! Nice bonus!
Molto buono. Personale gentilissimo. Bellissima vista
Brunch with a friend. My first time. It was excellent. The food, the service, everything!
United States Marine Corps 244th Birthday!
Delicious food, and wonderful atmosphere. While the menu is very seafood heavy, there are plenty of tasty options for vegetarians. Would definitely recommend for special occasions and will be back!
Birthday with terrible service and food. Ice cold.
Our waiter Aaron was great and felt terrible and acknowledged the poor quality of food and seevice
There is no more of a Michelin star deserving restaurant in Washington DC than Fiola Mare. We dined here this Saturday night past and were beyond impressed by the excellent overall delivery we received here. The white truffle risotto is to die for. Exceptional wine list and impeccable service. A must visit. Can’t wait to return
Love this restaurant, the food has never disappointed. Enjoy the view of the Potomac. Generally come for some special reason, although the Maria lunch menu with its modest price suggests I should come just to enjoy. Nice, attentive service, although you have to ask for bread with your starter.
