Would recommend for only a special event. The restaurant is extremely expensive. The food was good, but only two items were exceptional. The rest was just good. Questionable whether the restaurant is worth the money
Yes except it is extremely expensive even for D.C. expensive restaurants.
One of the best meals I've had at the Fiola family of restaurants; great options and I loved all my choices. Our server, Ann, and the staff were outstanding. I couldn't have asked for a more wonderful evening. I'll definitely be back.
The food was unparalleled. The service impeccable. Everything from start to finish was perfect. Very expensive but worth every penny!
Inattentive service. Tough flavorless veal. Cold foie gras. Cold atmosphere. Noisy. Expensive and underwhelming.
No particular occasion, just wanted a nice lunch with my daughter to catch up and to pamper ourselves. Fiola does that beautifully. Wait staff is unobtrusive and efficient. Our Server was so knowledgeable about the wines and how they paired with what we ordered eat. She was spot on with her recommendations and we had a delicious and pleasant experience. Everything, from the first course to the cappuccinos, was made with utmost care to both taste and appearance. A wonderful meal.
Excellent for specual occasions. Both the food and the service were outstanding.
Orgasmic food, unobtrusive attentive service, luxurious ambiance. Prices reflect the aforementioned. Fiola's is our go to treat each DC visit. Thanks for never letting us down!
Overall great experience, food and service outstanding! However, expect to overpay for wine. Extensive list, plenty of options, but Fiola should recognize that not every customer wants to pay $250 and up for a bottle of nice wine (there are wines for less, but limited). Keep the higher end wines on the list, but add a nice selection at the $100 and less pricing category.
Great food and outstanding service. This is one of the best overall experiences I have had at a D.C. restaurant. I will be back soon.
This was by far the best meal I have ever eaten. Hy was an amazing waiter that explained all of the dishes and made us feel special. I would highly recommend and come back when I’m in DC again.
Beautiful restaurant with great staff and food
Truly deserves its Michelin Star— amazing experience, food and atmosphere. Thank you for making my boyfriend’s birthday special!
Desert is a bit too sweet.
Elegant setting and impeccable service. Outstanding food quality. We had 9 courses between 2 people (plus a couple of bonuses) and nothing disappointed. Be prepared to pay top dollar for this experience
Great food. Amazing wine list. Excellent service. We eat here whenever in DC and, while it's not inexpensive, the quality of food and experience make it worth while.
absolute foodie heaven. impeccable kitchen, gorgeous presentation, thoughtful and excellent menu. for haute service, coldn't ask more or better.
The food and service were excellent but I did not like that there was a required multi course menu, meaning no a la cartel ordering. I would have been pleased to only order two courses but had to go for four which was too much food for me.
Nice fine dining experience. All dishes were good with a few standouts. Did not have any life affirming dishes, but it was a delicious menu. Fantastic service.
We had an absolutely amazing experience at Fiola. I proposed to my longtime girlfriend shortly before arriving to the restaurant and the staff was so helpful in celebrating our special moment. I would 10/10 recommend Fiola to anyone searching for a fine dining experience. A little early planning can set your dinner over the top and create memories that will last a lifetime. Well done Fiola!
The lobster ravioli is one of the best dishes I have ever had. The wait staff superb. Very accommodating to food preferences. It is expensive but worth it. A culinary experience.
It was a wonderful evening ! Tomaso was so attentive. The entire staff was !
Our meal was excellent. Still some diners might find even the four course menu a bit on the heavy side. (There is no a la carte menu). My one complaint has to do with the wine. The prices are very steep, yet the sommelier acted as if she were doing us a favor simply by pouring our $150 bottle into our glasses. I lived in France for almost two decades and rarely were the sommeliers there as disdainful of their clients as this woman. And why, pray tell, in this day and age, is a tasting only offered to the gentleman at the table? I had to ask her to pour wine in my glass as well and when I commented that it would probably taste better with food, she didn't even react. As a sommelier, I would think she would have offered information on the wine, the region, the grape after my remark. But no. Only stoney silence and a curled lip. ( I suspect she was ignorant of the details.) And it can only be attributed to misplaced snobbery to decant a three year old wine. I have read other reviews about the rude service of this sommelier. I can only hope Fiola investigates her and her qualifications.
The service was impeccable. We felt like royalty fro the moment we entered the establishment until the time we collected our coats the leave.
The food was as divine as the service. Unexpected food and flavor combinations, subtle at times and bold at others. My daughter and I were oooh-ing and ahhh-ing very quietly in our seats.👌🏼😁 But we both thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience!
Thank you for making my daughter’s 18th birthday a very special one!
My family and I were in DC for a short vacation. Fabulous lunch and great service. Not for the budget minded, but well worth it if you’re a foodie.
Fabulous meal and service
Always an exceptional dining experience with attentive and extra special service!
We love Fiola and have dined there several times. The food and service are outstanding, and it's a relief to be able to talk without shouting.
Price is an issue, $25 for a whiskey (the lowest price available) is indicative. An a la carte option also would be welcome.
That said, we will return.
Among the top few restaurants in the DC area with quality of food, service, and atmosphere worthy of it Michelin star. Comfortably elegant, it's suitable for a special occasion or just an outstanding meal.
Excellent. Make a point of visiting on your next trip to Washington DC. Truly a remarkable experience for cuisine and service.
Superb service and delicious lunch. Maria menu was just right!
Everyone at the table could not stop raving over the service and food. If you have the time and money, this is a must the next time you are in DC.
To show our 13 yr old daughter what an amazing and nice restaurant is like.
The service and waitress was great. However I had a issue with the hostess was very rude. No professionalism what so ever. Disappointing!
Some of the dishes were very salty and the ones that weren’t salty were very good. Our main server was great and the servers under him were a bit snooty including the wine sommelier. Not sure why a server would feel they have the right to be snooty and he wasn’t even the main server. The manager was polite as well coming by here and there to make sure we were doing ok. Not sure how this place received a Michelin Star...The cheapest bottle of red wine we saw on the list was $295. I have been to other Michelin Star restaurants and have had a way better experience. I would not recommend this restaurant, you can get a better experience somewhere else especially for the amount of money you end up spending.
Despite the snooty server, salty food and overpriced wine list, my friends and I made the most of it and had a good time. Would not go here again though.
The food was impeccable. The service was amazing. The only "complaint" was a very squeaky service door.
Great meal, one of the best I’ve had
Terrific service, friendly and responsive delicious flavor and vegetarian options.
The service was superb but the food--even though the presentation was exquisite--was over priced and too rich.
