great experience. Sommelier was great and wine tasting option made the meal even more enjoyable. We were treated very well with a glass of champagne compliment of the house because of our anniversary.

Although we would have liked more options, all the choices on Fiola's restaurant week menu were good: gazpacho surrounding an island of quinoa, burrata with corn, arctic char with eggplant, steak. Desserts were also winners: a kind of deconstructed tiramisu and a dark chocolate and fruit confection. Our waiter couldn't have been more personable and helpful. If you're looking for a (very) high concept cocktail with a lot going on, drink the gin tonic fiore rosa (the aged negroni was also a big hit at the table). Restaurant week is a cheap date by Fiola's standards, but we got first-class treatment. That's why we'll be back for the regular menu.

I know Restaurant Week selections are few and the portions small, but this was bad. The portions were miniscule, the selections limited to two on the appetizer and dessert, and (altough this is not the fault of the restaurant) to make things worse their A/C was broken.

Outstanding dinner during restaurant week. Chose gazpacho soup, beef tenderloin, and chocolate and cherry. All were delicious. Wine was excellent as well. Our server, Stanisla, was also terrific. Well done, Fiola!

My wife and I went to Fiola to celebrate her birthday, and we had an excellent time. The service was top-notch, and the food was absolutely incredible. I really cannot say enough about the dining experience overall. I would recommend Fiola to anyone. It truly is one of D.C.'s great restaurants.

Fiola has to be one of the best restaurants in DC and in the nation. I went with a friend and we had the four-course dinner. Unlike many other restaurants, Fiola's portions are pretty large. We really should have done the three-course dinner instead. We were both too full to eat dessert. The service was excellent too. Thumbs up.

Absolutely incredible food and service. We'd go there again if we lived in the area, but unfortunately we were only visiting.

The staff was friendly and helpful; we really enjoyed speaking with our waiter. The sommelier came by to give us some great wine recommendations, which we took and were very happy with. The manager also came over a few times to check how our food was and we enjoyed speaking with him. Everyone was very friendly and wonderful. All this added a nice personal touch that made us feel so welcomed and at home.

The food was outstanding: perfectly cooked, beautifully presented, and perfectly portioned. We were pleasantly full and very satisfied by the time we finished our meal. Our waiter had some great recommendations on what to try and she was absolutely right about how good it all was.

We went on a Sunday evening, which had live jazz and that created such a nice atmosphere. We stayed for a few hours to enjoy the music and some wine, and never felt rushed. It was lovely.

I should also note that Fiola is located very conveniently. It's only a short, two-minute walk from a green line train station (archives/navy memorial), and also includes valet parking (though, we took the metro because it was easy for us).

If you get the chance, this restaurant is a must.

Best dining experience we have had in DC. The tasting menu was creative and incorporated many different surprises in every dish. The regular menu was just as exciting. Outstanding selection of wines for pairing. This was our first time eating at Fiola and a special occasion. We were treated like we dined there every night. Our server anticipated our every need and he contributed to making this a dining experience we will never forget.

Food was great and tastes were wonderful but, well simply stated, for $400 for 2 (drinks included) and a phenomenal reputation preceding we felt that something was just off. Wish we could place our finger on exactly was off or what 'coulda - shoulda' been there to warrant a more memorable special 40th anniversary dinner...just felt like the kitchen and staff were sleepwalking and going through the motion(s). Pity.

We ordered wine by the glass. Although we never requested a wine menu the cost per glass was over $40. In hindsight we will request the wine menu prior to purchase. Also we ordered the 2 and 3 course menus but were charged incorrectly for two course items. We did not review the bill until the next day when we also discovered we had also left our credit card at the restaurant. The manager had locked the card in the safe. When we went to retrieve our card the manager corrected the additional charge and reduced the bill substantially. We will return. The food of course was outstanding.

I had the Maria Menu for lunch which was 3 courses and an extraordinary value. The chef offered an amuse bouche of seasonal baby vegetable crudites with a tonnato sauce that was refreshing bonus to a perfect meal. The service was proud and attentive but discreet. I would definitely return.

Top-notch cuisine with nice ambiance to match but pricey, of course. Had the 4 course prix fixe option and was more than satisfied with the amount of food plus the chef added in an extra surprise courses at the beginning which was a very nice touch. Nice wine list, too, but even cheapest half bottle of red is over $50.

Seriously one of the best meals I have ever had at a restaurant, and we eat out a lot. Wait staff is super attentive, and friendly, very comfortable, not stuffy. The wine recommended by the sommelier was perfect. While certainly expensive, well worth it for a special occasion (or two).
