Service and food were outstanding! My wife and I enjoyed the total experience! Our server Giao, made sure we didn't want for anything; drinks and bread were always filled, and our meal was delicious! We will have to go back soon!
The meals were well prepared. The seasonal specials were great. Everything was presented with care. Very attentive staff. It was on Wednesday, so dining crowd was small. The appetizer was a fusion of Asian and Cajun, and it bended well. Very satisfied with the meal.

Great service and very good food for a group reunion- we totally enjoyed - good menu selection - including sushi ! ( didn't try) Nice ambience too. Definitely recommend.
It was ok. The place was pretty empty, however it took a long time to get our food and it was cold by the time we got it. Normally I would have said something, but we needed to eat and head somewhere else for another engagement. I doubt I will ever go back. The steak was tasty but the bearnaise sauce was more of a solid spread vs. a sauce. The lobster tail was bland and chewy. For the price, I should have went somewhere better.

Excellent service. The sea bass is very tasty! The server recommended the flour less chocolate cake for desert. INCREDIBLE!
The sushi is incredible. So fresh! And the rice to seafood portion of each roll is perfect.
2 hr wait for entrée. Manager unresponsive and ineffective. There were several other parties expressing dissatisfied. Also provided a review on Yelp.

I have dined here numerous time, primarily for lunch. My most recent visit was Christmas Eve dinner with the family. The food is always good and I have always experienced exceptional service. Good sushi (check availability on holidays). Make sure to get your parking stub validated before you leave the restaurant.
This review will be incomplete because I was actually unable to partake in the food offered by Finn &Porter. I chose this restaurant because they offered oysters and sushi but to my dismay restaurants of this accord do not offer these options during the Thanksgiving weekend. This review is for the amazing server we had for all of ten minutes. She was very understanding and even recommended another restaurant for sushi that turned out to be very good. I will definitely go back for steak and oysters on a later date.
Server Lula was great! The food was great too. It was very slow that night and the noise level was 0.
My wife had Sea Bass that was truly delicious. I had a ribeye that was one of the better steaks I've eaten. The bread is great. The service was very nice.
My wife had a crab cake Benedict that she felt was great. I had scrambled eggs and excellent sausages. Waiter was attentive and knowledgeable. All in all a great breakfast. Highly recommend!

Finn & Porter's are charging their clients DC or Old Town ALEXANDRIA prices, for plates that shouldn't cost no more then $18.00 - $20.00.
Restaurant is not geared for large crowds. If there is a conference at the hotel, the restaurant may change to buffet-only for certain meals. Being forced to use the breakfast buffet, we experienced 20-minute and 25-minute waits to refresh empty fruit trays and get omelettes, respectively.
Very pleasant neighborhood place.
Our waiter was great! Funny and very knowledgeable of various cultural foods. He was extremely sensitive to our dietary needs. Every detail was to a T. Thank you for the experience.
Sorry to say that the food and service was very much Not up to par. I have eaten here before many times and know what to expect in food quality and service, but this time the service was just "sort of okay", and the steak I had was not fit to serve. It was cooked properly and at the right temperature, and the seasoning was fairly well done. BUT, the steak itself -- a Ribeye, was so tough all I could do was chew the flavor out and spit the gristly meat back onto the plate. The waitress offered to not charge me for the steak which is the only saving grace for the night. I am not even sure I would try again since this was a $30 charge just for the steak. I have had many excellent steaks for that price and lower, so I know what the possibilities look like -- this just didn't measure up by any stretch of the imagination. Some of their fish dishes have been quite good over the years, so I will stick with what I know their kitchen can properly produce. If you want steak -- go somewhere else.
The service was impeccable. I was treated with care and attention. Great staff all around! The sushi bar was wonderful. The chefs, the staff, and the sushi. 3 days later and I'm still thinking about it!

The place is nicely tucked into the Hilton and easy to get to. We ordered a mid range bottle of wine and it wasn't in stock, so the sommelier found a comparable bottle. I ordered a NY Strip rare and it was fairly cooked all the way through, almost completely brown, but it was juicy so I just went with it. The prices are a little high for other high end restaurants in the area, but overall, it's nice, just not great.
This was my second time at a Finn & Porter, but first at this location. The service was curteous and efficient, the food good without being outstanding. The menu was somewhat limited; perhaps this was because it was Christmas Day, but I don't recall seeing as few items on a menu in such a long time. With that said, however, each of the four in my party ordered something different and was satisfied after dining.
It was "just ok" at best. This was my first time, was a little disappointed; expected a wider selecting for Thanksgiving brunch. Not sure worth $30 per person. Staff was nice including valet.
Dining alone, it took me nearly 2 hours for a salad and entree. I had to ask repeatedly for the glass of wine I ordered. Dessert was so slow in coming that I canceled it. The restaurant had few patrons while I was there, so that doesn't account for the problems. I'll never return.
I just made a reservation for Christmas brunch and Stephanie the customer service is very unprofessional ... Not pleasant to talk with. Bad rating!
