We arrived 5 minutes prior to our reservation and were to be seated almost instantly. Then the server for the area we were to be seated in approached the hostess stating she could not take another table. We were led back to the hostess station and told we'd have to wait as there was no other table for us. After waiting nearly 20 minutes past our reservation time, we were finally seated.
Fortunately that is where the bad experience ended! The service we received from our waitress was extraordinary. She was very attentive to the 3 hangry children in our party and got our order in quickly and accurately despite not writing a single order down!!! We were pleasantly surprised by the quality and taste of the food.
Excellent food and wines; service slow but professional.
Received wrong order. Ended up paying for a $35 steak dinner instead of. $18 Steak Pizza.
The restaurant was completely unprepared for the number of people that showed up when they opened even though the event in the city was well publicized and had several hundred thousand people in attendance. The food was fine, nothing special, but very overpriced. Our waitress was overwhelmed and we felt that.
This location is a hotel restaurant. Decent food though!
Overall average hotel food. Service was very good
Good food. Great service our waitress was very attentive and did a great job!
The experience was pretty good
Just a boring and uncreative hotel restarurant. Food was fine -nothing to return for-, but the decor and settings are boring, outdated, unremarkable.
Our meal was delicious and the service was good. I had the BBQ Chicken and my husband had Fish and Chips. The waitress was familiar with the beer list and was able to offer suggestions when we asked.
They did not acknowledge our birthday Celebration.
Good restaurant located inside of the Hilton: if you want quiet, no tourists, and decent food with little wait...this is the location.
Menu is unimaginative. Very ordinary. I only ate there because it was conveniently located at my hotel. Will not revisit.
This is a restaurant that is part of hotel and sorry don't remember the hotel chain but it was probably a 3 star hotel. The menu is basic bar type food but what we had was very good!! The calamari, wings & jambalaya & my snobby husband even enjoyed it! Waitress was very friendly!
Early working dinner waiting for the traffic to disperse. Dining room was fairly empty but still reasonable atmosphere. menu small but varied.
I had the beet salad with chicken, it was very very good. But everyone else in our group of 5 was let down by their meals. Both the burger and chicken sandwich were poorly received. We did order the flight of fries appetizer and calamari. Fries were unanimously enjoyed but calamari was not fried long enough and the batter was not completely cooked. Wet calamari=eww.
Went for Happy hour, drink selection was fair. No food offerings for HH, but you can order from the menu for American staples. Hotel bar scene at best, good in a pinch. Nice staff, but didn't come by frequently enough.
Fish and Chips were great!
Finn & Porter cancelled our reservation just a few hours before because they had a private event at the restaurant. This was a huge inconvenience. We will never be coming back here.
Simply wanted a steak salad and still don't understand what went wrong. People generally anticipate getting a cut of steak with a salad, like you would with any other protein. The server asked five times how I wanted the steak and I said I want a piece of steak cooked medium rare. The salad came out with chunks of well done steak. Inconvenienced at this point and asked to speak with a manager. The chef came out, don't know why since he's not the manager, and apologized for the miscommunication. Why would I be charged for this salad and unpleasant experience? Won't be coming back.
The Margherita Flatbread was amazing!
Good meal but nothing really special. The nachos were so doused in toppings that most of the plate was actually difficult to eat. Chicken wrap was fine but not memorable.
Had dinner with family and friends, party of 8. Made reservation and table was ready upon arrival. Good selections on menu for all guests. Enjoyed both food and atmosphere.
outstanding service! She really made our evening fun!!!!
I walked in for a weeknight meal and was immediately seated and my drink order taken. My drink and food came quickly. The server was friendly. I had a salad with chicken and was very satisfied with food quality. The chicken was tender and moist (I suspect it was brined). I would eat there again.
Three of us had different salads but all with salmon. Excellent.
Try the Lemon Bar dessert - nice hint of ginger.
Waitress was excellent.
It's a hotel restaurant. Didn't realize it making reservations. Doesn't really have a restaurant ambiance. Otherwise, all was good.
The servers Kelly and Rachael were the best part of the night. The wine was nice good sizes pours
We came here at the end of a late meeting. Even though a reservation had been made and confirmed, the restaurant had already "logged off" and we're not ready to take us. It took almost 30 minutes to get seated. While the staff was very nice, it was terribly slow. The food was not bad, we never got to have dessert because the kitchen closed up without notice.
Friendly and professional service. Food was good. This was an early dinner so nothing fancy. Dessert was large enough to share
Waited an hour & half for my dinner. Horrible service.
This was a typical hotel restaurant, not too crowded, with large booths and coloring pages for kids. The food was a little on the expensive side, but was good and portions were good. There were kids' meals available for $7, which was nice and didn't cause our bill to be unmanageable. This is a good place to eat if you are staying in the hotel and want to eat and go back to your room after dinner.
Always love the ever-changing menu. Being served our appetizer by Executive Chef Nathan Wakefield in person is such an honor when special guests are present, as was the case on this lunch occasion. Gabriela, our server and a definitive professional, is eternally full of smiles, helpful suggestions & serves very attentively without hovering or interrupting conversations. Thank you, Chef Nathan & his astute culinary staff & Gabriela for making our rare visit so memorable. Greeter Leslie always sets the tone on a high note with a radiant personality and contagious laugh.
If you need a last minute place to go on a special occasion i.e., Mother's Day, Father's Day, etc... Finn and Porter will fit the bill. Nothing fantastic, however, food is pretty decent. Chicken and Waffles were good (tender white meat tenders). Located inside of the Embassy Suites and no good sites to see while dining in there. Waitress was nice and food came out at a decent time.
My wife and I came across Finn & Porter when looking for reservations before a Washington Capitals home playoff game. All of our regular spots around the arena were booked. We were able to get a reservation at Finn and were surprised to see that they were not crowded when we got there. Finn is only a few blocks from the arena, the food is good and the service was friendly and efficient. Finn is a good alternative to the crowded restaurants around the Verizon Center on game day.
Looked and felt old - needed an update
Typical bar food. Had great atmosphere to watch sporting events. Atmosphere and service was great. I had the crab cake and was a bit over priced and average .
This is located about a block from the Convention Center. Food was good and half the price of neighboring restaurants.
Delicious food and awesome drinks - I had the crab cake and the mojito. The place was a little dead for a Friday night, but not the biggest deal.
