Went for my birthday chef made a special beef wellington with foie gras. My favorite restaurant in the city
You have to try this place! Amazing food and service. Our server Danielle made the most awesome food and drink recommendations. I know there are a lot of great places to go in Philly, but this place is a MUST!!! The oysters on the half shell are delicious, the burrata was to die for and the mixed meat grill was perfectly cooked (the pork was exceptional). The perfect finish was a glass of port with the chocolate lava cake. The prices were more than fair. Cannot day enough about what a great restaurant this is. Put this restaurant on your list!
The food was amazing as were the drinks. The owner and staff were very hospitable. We had the squid appetizer. I had the pork chop and my friend had the pasta. All were delicious! This is our new go to place!
Extraordinary dining experience. For out of town visitors seeking an extraordinary meal with individualized attention and professional service this the place! The food is marvelous and the music a suitable accompaniment. We only regret this venue is not in our home town of LA. A special shout out to our server Danielle who went above and beyond to assist us. Bravo Fine Palate.
Expensive, low quality, bad service, dirty (don't look at the banquette cushions), not safe for people with celiac or gluten sensitivity, though they advertise having GF options.
Before ordering, I told the server that I have celiac, and confirmed menu items that were strict GF. I ordered 2 of them and confirmed again that these would be prepared separately from any wheat.
The artichoke fritters were served, battered. At a gut level, they just didn't look right to me, so I confirmed again that the item was GF. Server confirmed.
Two minutes later, she came back to retract this - the wrong batter had been used. Fortunately, I had not yet eaten them.
She offered to comp me a new order of the same item. I declined. She offered to comp me something else, so I got the burrata. Of course, it appeared on my bill anyway, and I had to get it corrected.
Would not visit here again or recommend. I ordered a Jameson and water. My friend ordered a glass of wine. My drink came and was so watered down, it barely had a flavor. They told my friend that they were out of his wine choice. They were also out of his 2nd choice. He then ordered a Jameson and they had to run to the liquor store bc they were out. Our food was below standard. Over cooked and flavorless. After we had ordered drinks and food, our waitress gave us the drink and food specials?! Overall a poor experience.
Coconut French toast was delicious! Had brunch before matinee performance at Academy of Music...perfect location with parking garage across the street.
Fine Palate is a hidden gem. Chef Vince always delivers delicious and creative cuisine. It is a warm and welcoming restaurant where there are always new tastes to discover. I highly recommend it.
Service it was very slow and food horrible.
We will be back
Pre theater dinner. Close to the venue, excellent service and great food. Lived being downstairs for dinner. Very cozy and intimate.
This is an interesting small venue. We went for Tapas before a show and the food was very good. Menu was eclectic but with a variety of small plates perfect for pre-theater dining. Close to theaters and parking.
Great Food and ambiance. Exceptional casual dining experience
Had a wonderful evening with my wife. Perfect spot for a date or if you want to casually drink at the bar. Food was exceptional, service was very accommodating. The chef was amazing had a great conversation with him and he spoke a lot about his background and how he worked all around the globe with world class chefs
Happy hour drinks followed by an awesome ribeye! I'll be back!
The food at Fine Palate is absolutely amazing! If you're a foodie, I highly suggest trying this place out. Vince is a wizard!
The restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere where you can dine and enjoy your time with friends and family.
cant say enough...food, service, atmosphere ..... awesome!
Fine Palate is a gem. The menu has something for everyone, but I’d recommend asking for the chef to just make a few courses.
The setting is comfortable and perfect for a relaxed dinner. They keep things simple. There’s no wait staff hovering over you every minute of the meal. Drinks, like the food, can be ordered from the menu or you can just let them get creative.
Will definitely be back.
Great meal as always!
Had a great experience. Food was great service was friendly and the atmosphere is sexy. A definite must.
One of the best steaks i've had and very attentive staff! You'll enjoy it too!
I had dinner last night and was impressed. The atmosphere was perfect for my date. The staff did an awesome job making sure I was happy with my drinks and food when they arrived. My steak was cooked perfectly and was one of the best steaks I’ve had in the city. We arrived a little late but the happy hour deals also looked good
All I can say is wow, this place was stellar everything from the staff to the food and service, hidden gem for sure, definitely plan on this place being in my normal rotation 👌
I took a date here, and I couldn’t be more satisfied. The ambiance is both cool but relaxed with an excellent location. Although they didn’t have as far as a tequila selection goes, that simply didn’t matter. The menu was diverse and expertly executed. I will definitely be back. Thanks for making look so good!
WOW. This place is amazing. The menu is excellent, there is a something for everyone. Great food (fried oysters and agnolotti pasta are out of this world!) and drinks, extremely attentive service and overall relaxed and pleasant ambiance.
We had a great time. Chef Vince produces exceptional food and the service was top notch. Well done!
A neighborhood gem! Combination of sophisticated food and a fun and warm atmosphere. Always a great meal and a lovely time. Vince and Courtney make you feel as though you are dining in their home. A must!!
Our Neal was amazing!!! The foo is delicious and the service is great. I definitely will be coming back to dine here. They take classic dishes and put a spin on it, love !
Always a favorite spot to catch up with friends and enjoy delicious food. Tried the salt & pepper squid (try it!) And favorites always include the cocktail hour oysters!
Thanks for another great dinner & drinks with friends
(One friend is vegan - had some nice options for her too)
5 Stars all the way! Outstanding food and Amazing staff! Cant wait to go back. Great experience
I eat here all the time and it’s always amazing! Service is great, the restaurant is very clean, it’s a comfortable spot with a good environment, and the food is beyond delicious! One of my fav restaurants!
We went for brunch before a show. The food was fantastic, and the service was good. There were only two tables occupied (including ours) so the service was a bit slow. However, overall, we had a nice time.
I ordered the steak and I asked it to be cooked medium well and the outside was charcoal burned and the meat was extremely dry. For many decades I have always had my steaks cooked this way and this is definitely one of the first times that my steak came out this poor. Please see the attached picture.
they wanted to bring our appetizer after our entree.
the gnocci tasted like it came from and can and was way too salty
didn't bring a plate for the oyster shells
didn't bring butter or olive oilfor the bread the pathetic bread
who wants to watch The Bad Seed in a restaurant???????
Excellent, intimate experience. Great bartending and service. If you leave without trying the dumplings drizzled in Sichuan chili oil, you are doing yourself a great disservice. The mixed grill is terrific. The burrata, made in house, is wonderful. We will return!
There are interesting selections at this restaurant such as sautéed pea leaves. Vegetarians can get a meal here and there are small plates, appetizers and regular sized entrees that provide a broad selection of the amount of food you want to eat. My wife had the kabouci squash soup and artichoke fritters. I had sautéed shrimps with the sautéed pea leaves. Another person has roasted cauliflower and the soup, but the cauliflower was not the traditional cauliflower but small florets with stems. The last person had linguini with clams. All very beautifully prepared.
Food was cold and not so good. Service was slow as just one server.
Hostess/waitress is amazing. Always great food and pleasant ambiance. I would just change the video on the giant projector to something more fitting.
This was our first visit to Fine Palate. It was a very mixed bag. The location was great - close to theaters. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately the actual service and food left a lot to be desired. We ordered the dumplings, the salmon, and the mixed grill. The dumpling were just plain weird. They had a very viscous constancy which was unpleasant for me, although my husband thought they were fine. The salmon was perfectly cooked and very tasty. We were told that the mixed grill consisted of flank steak, buffalo, and a pork chop for $40. We got a very delicious pork chop, two thin, overcooked slices of short rib, and a wine marinated piece of chicken that was rather dry and not very tasty. There was also an issue with the check, which had to be presented three times before it was correct. With so many dining choices in Philly it is hard to recommend this place, but the few flashes of brilliance are enough for me to say that I would give it another try!
Very small portions and pricey. Messed up order so our friend dined well after we were finished. Food was very good but again not enough.
Overcharged us on bottle of wine but quickly adjusted bill with apology.
Waitress very pleasant but disappeared for stretches of time. No bread served until after dinner.
