Finch & Fork is a Modern American Bar and Grill centrally located on the corner of Carrillo and Chapala streets in the heart of Santa Barbara’s vibrant downtown. Executive Chef Peter Cham draws inspiration from the vibrant local ingredients sourced from farmers and ranchers to craft an ingredient driven menu of delectable social plates and soul satisfying larger plates. The cuisine is meant to be served with artisanal wines, craft cocktails, and great beers in the relaxed atmosphere of our bar, lounge, and dining room.

Attended Finch and Fork this past weekend with my family for my daughter’s graduation celebration. My daughter likes to consider herself and I “foodies” and as a foodie, I can say that I found that the food and drinks were exceptional. Our server, Eric, was patient and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was enjoyable and our experience overall was exactly what we were looking for.

We’ve wanted to try FInch and Fork for some time, now I could kick myself for not going earlier. Excellent food, very nice ambiance, great service, all made for a very nice evening. The manager Josh took the time to greet us at our table - what a charming, knowledgeable, and delightful addition to our evening. The food, of course, is the most important - and everything was first class. Kale salad, local greens both good. Brussels sprouts definitely amazing, Cauliflower also good. Entries were Trout and scallops, the latter of which were among the best Scallops I’ve eaten - creatively presented with grapefruit and avocado, fresh, perfectly prepared, and healthy.

Desert, which we really didn’t have room for, was a lovely, light, delicious cheesecake, recommended by our waiter.

A very nice evening - we’ll be back to Finch and Fork!

Really nice ambiance and food. We've come in a few times. The tables though are a bit too wide for speaking easily to the person across from you, which I think contributes to the high noise level.

Ling Ling was our AMAZING server and made our business lunch an enjoyable experience. She took my dietary concerns to heart and crafted a lovely salad that was better than expected. Her dessert recommendation was spot on as well.

I’m already a long-term fan of Finch and Fork but today’s experience truly sealed the deal!

It was a quick lunch with family, great meal and attentive service. It’s a great place to get a healthy lunch. Buttermilk fried chicken and FF burgers are top notch on the menu, chicken kale and the chip salad are super light and healthy. Everything is delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant!!

Visited last Saturday night for dinner with some friends. Service was good, the short ribs were tasty (a little on the cold side when they came out though), the duck and scallops looked good too. Desserts; the creme de pot and the milkshake were good, very sweet!

We enjoyed our dinner here from start to finish. The restaurant is very attractive and the bar is a beautiful space with great cocktails. The service both in the bar and restaurant was warm, professional, and attentive. We had delicious pork chops, salmon, and chicken. The sticky toffee cake and milkshake dessert was amazing. The wait staff is really helpful with selections and I was even offered a taste of the two Sauvignon Blancs to help me decide. A wonderful experience from beginning to end.

My boyfriend & I were visiting Santa Barbara for the weekend and we enjoyed this restaurant immensely for our date night. Highly recommend eating here while you are in town. Food was delicious along with a welcoming wait staff. Oh, and you must try the S’mores dessert! It was scrumptious!

My mom and I went to breakfast there this past Sunday during Memorial Day weekend. The food and service was amazing as always! I had a sweet potato hash with short ribs and it was absolutely phenomenal.

Went for brunch on Memorial Day Sunday, got right in at 9:30, but had a line by 10:00.
Ordered pork belly Benedict, and husband had the short rib hash, both had the spicy bloody Mary’s.
The hash was tasty throughout... the waiter recommended to have the horseradish on the side because the kitchen staff tended to be ‘heavy handed’ with it. Used it ALL and wanted more! It was very tasty and rather mild.

The Benedict itself was quite tasty, perfectly poached eggs. But the other half of the plate was covered with roasted red potatoes that were under seasoned, not crisp, ended up revert and dry when they cooled.

Slow service even though it was practically empty. Wings way too sweet. Happy hour advertised but only a tiny selection of drinks were discounted. Then ate in the restaurant and very disappointed with the quality of there food, especially for the price! Would not send anyone there.

The strip steak was awesome with an intriguing topping and the spare ribs were divine.
Our server was very attentive and even comped us dessert for our special occasion.
Would love to try lunch there.

The base for every restaurant is its food. The food was really tasty, my only complaint was that my husband and I both ordered the daily ‘special’ which that night was a 1/2 rack of bbq’d ribs. As I said, the flavor was delicious, they were fall off the bone tender, but were served only slightly warm, more like ‘room temperature’ actually would be a better description. I don’t think they should have been served at this temperature

Finch & Fork is surprisingly good, and a surprisingly good value! I'm a food snob, and although I was technically a tourist for my visit, I'm generally disappointed by restaurants that read as touristy as this one does (this is a hotel restaurant, so it's kinda to be expected). The atmosphere reminds me of high-ceilinged, low-charm spots in midtown SF or NYC, where I leave feeling financially reamed after a mediocre meal during which I struggled to hear the conversation. So I had a bias going into my meal. F & F impressed me! The food isn't particularly innovative, but it is super solid: delicious, generously portioned, and well-done, from entrees to desserts to drinks. The price point was extremely reasonable for what we got, and their wine menu is excellent. The server gave us great and sensitive wine pairings. We'll be back during our next visit to Santa Barbara.

We chose Finch and Fork based on the reviews we found online. It did NOT disappoint in any way. Great interesting menu with a wide confluence of flavors, and terrific wine list. I had the scallops (again based on reviews I’d read) and they were amazing. Scallops, chorizo, golden beets, avocado - all combined to a most excellent dish. My husband had the burrito (with tangerine, green peas, olive oil and sea salt - delicious - as he said was his short rib. In fact, he said it was the best short rib he could ever remember having. I can easily say this was our best meal in Santa Barbara, and those scallops could have been my best meal of 208 - anywhere! So glad we experienced this gem of a restaurant while in SB.

Finch and fork has consistently the best food AND service in Santa Barbara. Never fails. If you are lucky enough to get Brett as your waiter prepare for an incredible night! The scallops are my favorite in town, but you really cannot go wrong with the menu. Cocktails, wine list, dessert---finch and fork does it all. Day time is pretty casual and night time can get a little more dressed up but never fancy. Enjoy!

I went here on a recommendation from open table. I was visiting from out of town and the menu looked great. I went and the food and the service was exceptional. I love that they didn't bring bread, instead they had pickled vegetables, they were awesome. It's not that I don't enjoy bread sometimes, it's just most breads are really not good for you. Anyway I will recommend this restaurant to anyone I know that is going to visit Santa Barbara and I will definitely return here when I come to visit again.

Very nice place. I shared the beef and sweet potato hash and an order of deviled eggs with my wife. The hash was solid, but would have tasted better with regular potatoes as we thought the sweet potatoes were too sweet. Everything else was excellent including the service and ambiance.

If looking for fine dining in SB, look no further than Finch and Fork. A few streets away from busy State street, this lovely place will not disappoint. It offers a short creative menu with first grade ingredients , in a classy yet relax setting of dark wood and comfy leather chairs. We had the wild mushroom flatbread, the short rib, and the fresh ricotta cavatelli. Everything was outstanding. Fennel pollen took the pasta dish to another level, while the short rib was cooked to perfection. I expressed my interest for the carrot cardamon puree that accompanies the duck breast, so our outstanding waitress brought us a full portion on the side. Honestly this might have been one of the best things i ever tasted.

If you like cocktails this is the place to go, but their wine selection is splendid as well.
Service is stellar. I have nothing bad to say about this place. Maybe on the pricey side, but considering the very fair portions and the excellence of the dishes, it is a very solid value.

So.....in a nutshell...take your love one there!

Had reservations... hostess seated us in the foyer even though seating available in main room. Had to ask for a change to main room.

This was my first time to Finch and Fork. Stopped here for breakfast with my husband on the way to Cambria. The ambiance was casual but elegant. We did not realize that it was attached to a hotel. The waitress was friendly and efficient. My husband had a Bloody Mary and the short ribs and sweet potato hash. I had the egg white omelette with quinoa, asparagus, walnuts and cheese. It came with fresh fruit and toast.
Everything was delicious! While the portions were hefty, we found it a bit pricy for the meal ($17-18). Even the fruit was very sweet and the jam for the toast - not sure it it was home made or not- was also delicious.
Would definitely go back again.
