It was ok, not excellent. The staff was very friendly and tried to do a good job. However, our server forgot to bring us steak knives. My expectation at a top-level steakhouse is attention to detail. Little misses like that stand out. Also my filet was to be prepared medium-rare. It came out medium-well. That was a big disappointment.
I’m sure we will try Final Cut again. Hopefully next time will be top-notch.
The service was terrible. The food overpriced. It took almost an hour for our entrees to arrive and the sides were wrong. The restaurant wasn’t even half full so it was hard to understand why it took so long. I never slam a establishment but it really was that bad especially when considering the price.
The salad had some bad lettuce in it, they took it off the bill. Our steaks were not cooked correctly, mine was supposed to be medium and was well done. My wife's was supposed to be done but was butterflied and was medium rare. They tried to re-cooked but we said no.
There was a dead flying type bug on my daughters salad bread. Upon advising the staff they took the plate laughing. The manager came over and offered another salad, when my daughter declined they offered her a desert that she had already ordered with her meal. Manager had lack of professionalism. End result was they gave us 50% off for her meal. The hostesses weren't friendly or inviting. Will not return.
We are very fortunate to treat ourselves every so often to this exceptional restaurant. We dined on a Saturday night & they were busy which was expected. Still had excellent service. We had a shrimp cocktail, salad, filet & wonderful scallops. All very delicious! Love the ambience, high class & perfect for a romantic night out...
Our server was Rick and he provided excellent service. The assistant Amber was very pleasant as well. Our meal consisted of Shrimp cocktail, caesar salad, Filet, Sea Bass, buttery potatoes and seasoned vegetables. Everything was prepared to perfection and the timing of the courses were perfect. Thank you for a great meal, we will be back
We haven’t been in awhile and a lot has changed on their menu which was disappointing. The crab corn bisque was extremely salty and we had to send it back. The steak was good but not great. Server could have been more attentive . The sliders were really good though. Hope everyone has a better experience!
We waiting almost an hour to be seated even with a reservation. The manager was nice enough to comp some appetizers for our wait. We had a party of 6, nothing that should have been so overwhelming for a server. Our server brought most of the food, but we were waiting on 2 sides and steak sauce. We had to wave down another server and the manager to get those things after -about 30 minutes. The experience was lacking at best. Also, the cloth chairs were disgusting and stained. When you are going to pay for an expensive meal, you hope for good service and a clean environment.
The waitress seemed to be bothered by us and was very short with us when she did interact. I had to ask for my wife's soda drink after we were there for over 20 minutes and she only brought 1 refill. The assistant waitress was excellent and very pleasant. My wife's steak was a little over cooked but she didn't want to send it back. And the "Shrimp linguini special" was odd because I was told it was on angel hair pasta with garlic and some extras and was $32 and what I got was the normal shrimp pasta that's on the menu for $29 but payed the mysterious $32 "Special" price. I had no intentions of writing a review because my wife and I made the best of the evening and enjoyed ourselves. But since you asked, I figured I would share then. Thank you. Have a great day.
The ribeye with truffle butter was amazing. My husband got the filet mignon and wasn’t thrilled with it, but he gets it butterflied and cooked medium well, so that was probably part of the problem. Our server, Carolyn, took very good care of us and made our dinner a very enjoyable experience.
Final Cut has the best filet mignon in the city. I've eaten here many times and every time it is perfectly cooked and always tasty. Their side dishes are excellent and the shrimp cocktail is huge. The crab cakes are solid crab meat. This is a hidden gem in Lawrenceburg, Indiana.
We chose Final Cut to celebrate our 20th Anniversary just a few short days ago. Our waitress was rude, unattentive, and tried to serve us cold $70 steaks. She then tried to serve us a second time with microwaved steaks. Needless to say we were very disappointed!!!!!!
The manager, I believe her name was Candice, merely said we won’t charge you have a good day.
So as you can imagine, our anniversary was a complete bust and we were Very disappointed with the service and staff!!! We WON’T be returning!!!!
After constantly hitting a road block (much to my annoyance) every time I try to get reservations at high-end Cincinnati steak houses (I won't mention the well-known name or any of his restaurants), my husband and I opted to book a nice pre-Christmas dinner, just the two of us, closer to our Harrison, Ohio home and try "Final Cut" for the first time on December 23rd. We had no issue getting a reservation on short notice and were thrilled. We found the environment, the appetizers and the steaks right on par with comparable Cincinnati steak houses. The shrimp tempura was INSANELY good, the salad cold, crisp and delicious, pre dinner martini smooth as silk, service was (as expected at this price point) excellent, the sourdough bread was AMAZING (yes, it warrants it's own mention) and the steaks were exactly what we expected - massive, hot and seasoned to perfection. Flow of dinner was also great, since it seems other steak houses feel obligated to keep you in your chair for 2 hours (not my style). Things kept moving and we left smiling after a lovely 1 hour dinner event.
If you just want a good steak dinner, ditch Cincinnati and drive a few miles west. EXCELLENT!
We arrived for our 8:15pm reservation at 8:05pm. We sat down at 8:40pm. We ordered at 8:55pm and received our food at 10:05 and it was luke warm. The taste and quality of the food was good. You would think after waiting that long though it would have been fresh and hot. The server complained to us the whole time we were there about the large party he had before us and how tired he was. The whole experience was not what I expected for a high end steak house.
Went to celebrate Thanksgiving (first time), was seated in nice booth, waited a bit, then waitress came with no explanation of how sides were served and was very blunt about "they were served family style enough for every one---was ask about appetizer Shrimp cocktail and her response was just order it------I had to then ask about the servings of shrimp----enough about this
then meal came and steaks could have been prepared closer to what our request was--but did not mention this. What I did mention was the bus tray and stand that was being used by servers in our area for the dirty dishes of others---not very pleasant for the price you pay--(was like a mm and pop stacking dishes up in the dining room; not professional.... I have said enough, would like to make a suggestion that owners/managers go to Tony's steak house on Montgomery road and learn how to run upscale steak house
My husband and I both had the filet and both were cooked to perfection. We were glad they served bread upon ordering because the last time we were there you had to order a salad in order to get the bread. It was our server's first night on his own and you could tell he had been around the block a few times. Great service! We each had a draft beer, 8 ounce filet, one side we shared and the bill including tax and tip was $140.
We were very disappointed.
The service was extremely slow.
The brussels sprouts were scorched & tough. The lobster tail was cold, as was the melted butter. The waitress never offered my husband a refill. We were waiting to speak with the manager, but she was busy dealing with the table next to us who was also extremely disappointed with tough lobster that was cold. We waited a long time but we're unable to speak with the manager because we had a concert to attend. Very dissatisfied after spending almost $250.00
This was supposed to be a special dinner to celebrate my daughter's engagement and we were completely dissatisfied .
Excellent Wednesday evening. Started in the lounge with a couple glasses of wine where Carolyn was excellent. Went into the dining room for dinner and we had a fantastic dinner. Split the wedge salad (cuz it's that big) then my husband and I split the 12 ounce filet and shared a giant baked potato and the Bourbon creamed corn. Everything was delicious. Service was excellent -- Robyn was our server and Danny was her assistant, they could not have been any better. Best steakhouse in the area by far.
