Fin - The Mirage Ratings and Reviews
Friendly hostess attending to us quickly. Nice quiet seating for my sister in law and myself. We were craving Chinese and this was super fresh and delicious. Not enough servers so hostess took our order but server was attentive once meal was ordered. The hostess also recommended one meal between the 2 of us as the portion size is large and we would have wasted a lot of food. After reading the reviews I thought it would be a 50/50 chance of being good. We were impressed!
We were looking for a light meal at the Mirage in a quiet place before taking in a late show. Fin provided all that with a pleasant ambiance. However, it is basic Chinese fare after all, and the $119 bill for two was too steep for even well-prepared dishes, but, you know, Chinese.
You can't go wrong with ordering the General Cho's chicken. That was the best dish we had last night. Mongolian beef is good too. I typically prefer to eat white steam rice over brown when eating Asian food but their brown rice is moist , nutty and really delicious.
Fin is a Chinese winner! Great break from the hub bub in the casino. Once you walk in it is quiet, classy and peaceful. The food it outstanding and is served quickly and with a gorgeous presentation style (wife's sweet and sour chicken was served in a half of a hollowed out pineapple!). Reasonably priced too. I heartily recommend Fin for a great Chinese experience - we will be back!
We thought that the waiter was just a busboy because he never asked us if we wanted anything outside of water. He mumbled under his breath and was not very attentive. It was our first experience there but he seemed uninterested. The food was excellent but the value of the food was a little expensive.
The restaurant promotes itself as Chinese modern cuisine. Portions are fairly large. We ordered Lemon Chicken and Pad Thai with Shrimp entrees with Chinese broccoli, sticky rice and cocktails. Might have just been our selections, but everything was just OK. Service was good, but bill was kind of high. Fortunately we received a 20% discount for being a Nevada resident. Restaurant itself is beautifully decorated.
Overpriced--as are all restaurants at the Mirage from what I can tell. Food was good but not exceptional. The space was pretty. Service not really helpful. At least gives you the option of ordering a few entrees and eating family style. Was disappointed in the cocktail list so ordered wine--at $16 a glass you will save significantly if you stick to water
Beautifully decorated - friendly staff and quick service. The only downside was we sat by a table by the doors that were open to the casino. The noise and smoke was disruptive and seeing that I had my kids with me I didn't like smelling smoke through the meal.
The good was below average and we were rushed out right after finishing our entrees. They push a cart around versus carrying the plates by hand. This place was significantly over priced for the quality of food and service, very disappointing. We felt ripped off.
We've been here many times and loved it. But they changed the menu and jacked up the prices sky high. The food was not fresh or good. It was lousy. We told the manager, Kathy, and all she said was - sorry. Then I heard her complaint about us. This place has gone down hill in a very short time.😢
Food decent. Pricing reasonable. Servers appear annoyed and put out. Overall would go back for affordable dining option if in The Mirage and wanting ease of location prior to a show at The Mirage but otherwise wouldn't go out of my way to return. The food was tasty but for a city that is typically service oriented the servers fell short of the mark. My expectations of service aren't over the top, but this is an area that seems to be lacking. The restaurant is modern and visually appealing. The food is tasty and reasonably priced in comparison to other sit down service type of restaurants within The Mirage and other Vegas Strip casinos. It is located within the casino so you can hear the slot machines while dining even if you aren't next to the door.
