Filomena Ristorante Ratings and Reviews
This was my first visit and I must say I was very impressed. My friend had brought me there to see the decorations, which is also amazing. After having a drink at the bar we decide to have dinner there as well. All the staff - Bar, Host, and Wait Staff were first rate. It was truly a remarkable experience in a very authentic Italian Restaurant. I don't know how I missed out on this restaurant for so long, I can't wait to go back.
This was our first visit and it will not be our last. What a great find! The food was amazing.
I had the lasagne and my husband has the three cheese ravioli. We shared a slice of the strawberry cheesecake so I have to go back so that I can try all the other delicious menu selections. I highly recommend.
Overall, we had a good experience. The place was packed on a Saturday evening. We had a 9pm reservation but still had to wait about 10 mins. It's extremely busy and loud but we didn't mind. The seating is a bit tight but we made the best of it.
The menu offers a variety of dishes. Our rice balls had to be sent back because they were under cooked(the waiter apologize but didn't take it off the bill). The food was good and the portions were generous. One entrée was enough to feed 2 people.
The cheesecake was absolutely amazing!!! I would definitely go back.
Very fun setting and ambiance! Festive holiday decorations! Food is good, large portions so be prepared to take food home! Noisy but we could still hear each other at a large table. We really enjoyed our meal.
Had a few issues with allergies that had been clearly communicated but they were all quickly resolved.
Over rated tourist trap. Should have read more of the reviews because I can’t remember the last time I had such an unpleasant dining experience. They are more concerned with turning the tables than ensuring a positive guest experience. My manicotti was inedible. They have a woman in the window making pasta but she must be taking it home with her because the manicotti was definitely not fresh pasta. I only took 2 bites and no one inquired how it was or why I didn’t eat it. Waiter couldn’t tell me the brands of their wines by the glass. I ordered the Chardonnay but a Pinot Grigio was on the bill. Avoid this place at all costs,
Made reservations, still had about a thirty minute wait. Food was excellent and had leftovers to take home with me. I ordered the linguine with lobster sauce which was delicious. I also highly recommend the meatballs and the cookies and creme cake. In addition, the waiter was super nice and personable.
It was a disappointment. Though I'd reserved two days earlier and arrived 15 minutes ahead, the restaurant either overbooked or was short staffed and kept me waiting for 35 minutes. There were at least 20 others packed in the tiny foyer also waiting for a table. After two protests, my guest and I were finally seated. There was no apology for the delay. Service was slow and not attentive. The tables are small and close to each other, but it's possible to have a conversation. The cooking is heavy. My guest and I decided to split the bill with two credit cards, and here again, the wait staff couldn't manage to deliver all the receipts. On the way out, there was no thank you and come again greeting. I wouldn't return. The restaurant management should get its act together.
