Made a 9:15 reservation for 2 for desert and drinks (there were plenty of reservations open). The guy at the door basically said if we are coming for dessert and drinks he wouldn’t typically sit us and we would have had to make a later reservation (what’s the point in telling us that if you’re going to seat us) anyway, we are seated and order a bottle of wine and 3 desserts. However because of the mayors mandates all alcohol has to be taken off the table at 10. By the time we were seated and ordered it was just after 9:30 and it wasn’t until the bottle was opened and poured that the server told us we basically had to finish our bottle in 20 minutes. We felt taken advantage of because if we would have been told that at the time of ordering the bottle then we obviously would have just ordered 2 glasses. Nonetheless, I had the server hovering at 9:58 having me chug my wine.

I understand there’s nothing that can be done about the mandate but it was all handled inappropriately...and back to the guy at the door...how much later of a reservation would I of had to make since I already was rushed out?

Our server was great and very kind but definitely took advantage of the situation.

This is a fantastic place and was recently recommended to my husband. I can’t believe we didn’t know about this jewel! The food and service were impeccable! We will, without a doubt, be back soon!

Amazing food, nice atmosphere, helpful staff. Will be back for sure. Everything is delicious but the Linguini Cardinale is truly special (if you like lobster).

First time eating at Filomena’s. It was phenomenal. The atmosphere was just perfect for Christmas and the food was outstanding! Service was top notch. Highly recommend. Will definitely be eating here again.

Friend’s Holiday Dinner

Filomena was definitely a hit. The food was fantastic, and the service was very good. It’s a great place for a date night, especially around Christmas time as the restaurant is amazingly decorated (probably the best in DC). Overall, would highly recommend.

Pleased we were able to continue our annual tradition of a family Christmas dinner at Filomenas. I was impressed with how they had spaces the tables and installed barriers between tables. Always love the decorations, delicious food and complimentary after dinner cordials

Best Italian food in DC. While their prices are not the lowest, their portions are some of the largest you'll find. Highly recommend to anyone looking for good, quality pasta dishes.

Very good once again. The food is fantastic, service was spot on. The decorations for Christmas made the place fell festive. The entree's are huge, enough for 2 people. Keep that in mind when ordering.

To me I thought the restaurant did not adhere to social distancing. I felt uncomfortable the entire time. I think tables should have been skipped or spread out.

A District tradition! Great wine list, wonderful food, all things with lobster are divine. That with the ambiance and friendly, fun interaction with our waiter made for a delightful late lunch.

We truly enjoy coming here; it’s more of a yearly tradition than anything. Although times are different they managed to keep the vibe the same...with safety and cleanliness evident.
