So amazing! We had high expectations and everything about this place exceeded them! The staff is phenomenal and very knowledgeable about the menu and wine selection. The food was fabulous and large portions. The dessert was also amazing and the after dinner aperitif a pleasant surprise. I hope to be back for another visit if I am back in DC

A special little place that really packs them in even on a Monday. You can definitely share an entre I you want room for an appetizer(baked oysters) bread (pizza bread) a salad and desert (chocolate) mousse cake) All very good

I love Filomena’s restaurant! It’s my favorite restaurant in DC. I may have been spoiled by the other times I have visited, but the 4th of July decorations were disappointing. They were beautiful and fun, but they did not compare to the Easter and Halloween decorations I had previously enjoyed and remember vividly. Our waiter was pleasant and attentive, but previously I had experienced people who were excited to tell me what was on the menu and discuss the history of Filomena’s restaurant. That was lacking in this visit. The eggplant lasagna was excellent and the stuffed mushrooms were delicious.

Very American but like at Mama Filomena at home! Creamy spice as it has to be when offering lobster linguine in a creamy lobster sauce!!! You can not cook it better! The dishes are too big so you better share a plate by two…. The starters are also a bit too much… but also here you can share. Anyhow, the service is just great and the atmosphere is so much proud American with so many flags and other decorations that it already cool again.. We will be back for sure! Thank you for the wonderful evening!!!

I read many reviews saying the place was loud. Yes, it's loud, but it adds to the atmosphere and if you have ever been to an Italian household, it's loud there too. The food is impeccable, top notch. Grateful to FINALLY find a good italian place in NoVa/DC.

We had our anniversary dinner here; glad we did it early as the dinner crowd was loud. My only complaint is that they took the plates to box in the to-go containers. Almost zero of my sauce was retained in that transfer. It was really disappointing as we all know Italian is know for the sauce and to reheat something, sauce helps. I spend so much money, so I hope they would take the care in ensuring the sauce would make it in the to-go! Although we mentioned our anniversary in the reservation, there was no acknowledgement otherwise. So if you are making plans with your loved one and need an acknowledgement, you’ll need to remind them.

The service, the food, and the atmosphere were all just amazing!! Fresh focaccia bread and fresh pasta were incredible, as well as the meatballs, bolognese sauce, and tiramisu. A lovely evening!

The Italian food and service here is unbelievably good. We've traveled throughout Italy and our Italian grandparents in the US cooked just like the food here. It's authentic and excellent. The wait staff is very friendly, very knowledgable and just fantastic. The atmosphere is full of energy too and beautifully decorated.

Every time my friend comes into town she has to visit Filomena’s and drags me along. Last night was yet another evening of wonderful service and fantastic ambiance. I only wish that the food would round out a wonderful experience -but it didn’t. I almost feel bad sharing that my spaghetti bongole ( with clam sauce ) la led any kings of bright flavor. The sauce was bland and the clams abundant but so tiny that I named them dwarf clams. I had to keep asking for extra cheese to make a meal out of this dish and to salt it up a little since the sauce lacked almost any salt. Anyway if you are looking for ambiance and great service - go to Filomena! If you are a foodie- skip it!

Everyone I know told me to go here and to make a reservation. Check the menu before you go. $$$ for what you get. The food is very heavy and mostly meat/pork stock in the sauces. If you have picky eaters this is not the right place for you. The gnocchi was good - we got it with a tomato sauce since it didn’t have pork. It is very pricey. I would not go back, not because the food was bad but because we just don’t eat this heavy food and it was very expensive.

This place is the Jewel of Georgetown. I have been here several times, and I have never been disappointed. From the Calamari that melts in your mouth, to every dish they have on the menu, you will not find a better dining experience.
