Filomena is perfect for the business luncheon or the elegant candle light dinner.
I don't make it to DC very often, but when I do, I try to stop by Filomena. Food is consistently great, service impeccable, and the experience is always memorable.
Amazing service and the food is always perfect!
Wonderful character, superb service, and even better food - make a reservation though! Despite the crowd, at our table of 6 we had no problem hearing each other talk in normal volume, which is also huge. I'd go back for the character, or the service, or the food, or the volume - to have all attributes be stellar guarantees we will be back. Not to mention that each plate contained enough food to be 3 separate meals!
We go to Filomena's a few times each year - always a great experience. Fantastic service and food!
I am from NY and Filomena is as good as any Italian food I've had, at any price, in any city!
It appears that they have packed in too many tables in small space. During our dinner we felt like we were having dinner with the people sitting next to us. We were even able to listen to their conversation as they could ours as well. Also, food was too salty and it actually made me sick. Not best experience. Very disappointing as this used to be one of my favorite restaurants in DC.
Awesome food and service was superb and quick. This was for Valentines day and they really packed the place out which contributed to more noise than I really cared for but we still had a great time there. I'd definitely go back.
First trip to Filomena's. We loved it! We will definitely be going back.
Dino is the most wonderful man in the business and Alberto the server is world class. They treat my family like their family .
The tables are a bit close but other than that it was wonderful food, service, and ambiance. We went on a Saturday.
Amazing food and great service. We come here every year for the past five Valentine’s Day dinners. it it always well decorated and quick to seat us (with a reservation). This is one of the best Italian restaurants around the DC area.
Very generous portions if had known the size would have share the dish but definetly return
Love it. Best pasta and meatballs ever. So interesting. Love Georgetown also. Stay and walk around after.
What an amazing place to visit in Georgetown. The portions are huge, staff friendly, and you literally cant go wrong with any dish!
Great dining experience. The misto de mare is my favorite
It was AMAZING. Loved the oysters Vesuvio, bread, pasta, wine, ambiance. So good! Can’t wait to take my parents there when they visit.
Very crowded and very loud. Most likely related to being so close to Valentines Day. Although the portions were very large it seemed a little overpriced (it was a special Valentines menu). Will try it again away from any specialty holidays and hope for an improvement.
While the quality of the food is great, I find it to be over priced...pasta or rissoto; three shrimp and scallops; and lobster meat (not a tail)...for $48/plate and add "house" wine (again, like the food, very good) at ~$12/glass. Two entrees, three glasses of wine, tax, and tip - $170.
The best Italian food I’ve had, and I’ve been to Rome, Florence, and Venice.
Lovely decorated, great food and service , great complimentary bottles at the end
The service was adequate, however the food was horrendous and mostly tasteless. Don't be fooled by the Italian grandmother's making things. I don't know if it was because it was Valentine's day but I would look elsewhere for good Italian.
Amazing food with great service. Waiter was lovely and helped make the experience even better.
Ask for Peter he was amazing and super helpful!!!!!
My girlfriend and I have been going here for years. Travel Channel did a review on this place a few years back and inspired me to take her. We love it! The food is great and the service is as well. I believe the food marinates in the sauce if you get pasta, so it tastes even better when you take it home. Portions are generous!
Amazing! Went for Valentine’s Day lunch, best Italian in DC.
9:00 reservation. Sat at 9:30
I'm not sure what got into Tom Sietsema of The Washington Post, but this restaurant is more than a two-star establishment. The pasta is incredible, rich, perfectly cooked and judging by the size of the crowd, a wonderful place to go in the city for exceptional pasta. The wine list is extensive, the desserts phenomenal, and the service impeccable. Do not hesitate to go based on the review that cited portion sizes that were too large as a reason for two stars. Give it at least 3+
The service and food was outstanding as usual and we loved the decorations for Valentine's Day!
This is my second time at this restaurant. The food and service were unbelievable. Would highly recommend!
Peter was an excellent server, great combination. Of professionalism and treating us like family!
Love this place. I had a business lunch with clients and they absolutely loved it.
Heading back tonight with my wife for Valentines dinner.
Went for my wife's birthday lunch. We have been going for this occasion for the past couple of years. The place has not changed much over the years, the Pasta Mama was making gnocchi in the window when we left. I maybe mis-remembering, I feel like the place has become more business like then in past years. No warm greetings, smiling waiters
Amazing food and service. It is loud though so not the sort of place for an intimate convo!
The food was delicious! Very good service. A place that makes you feel like it’s a special night out.
The food is delicious and plentiful. Service impeccable as always. It was fun to see those in our group experience this for the first time. All agreed they would return.
Very average. Tourist place it seemed. I don't mind spending money for a good meal, but this was average food and very expensive for the quality. Service was excellent.
Price points a little high but food was worth it. Our server Nico rocked! The complementary end-of-the meal Sambuco and Ameretto was the cherry 🍒 on top of a delicious, authentic Italian feast . Buon Appitito!
Just amazing. Third time here and it is consistently awesome. Super packed and loud but fun and delicious.
Anniversary dinner - 30 years!
