The food was excellent, the servers very good, but they were running significantly behind on reservations and seated us 30 minutes after our reservation.

They blew us off for almost an hour before sitting us in a seat with wooden beams in the wrong place. The food wasn’t good enough to out stand the rest. Mediocre food with awful service

My wife and I had a wonderful time celebrating my birthday. Everything was fantastic! We'll be back!

I’ve been to Filomena’s a number of times over the years and always look forward to it. We live out of town now and go out of our way to come back and enjoy the homemade pasta, etc. Everything on the menu is delicious, particularly the meatballs!!

Not a place for quiet conversation, but my favorite place to eat whenever I get to visit DC. Love the ever changing decorations. I try to come as seasonal events change to see new decorations. So fun!!

My favorite restaurant period. This is 3rd year in a row I've come here while visiting DC and am never disappointed.

I ordered the manicotti. Nero, the server took the order without any hesitation.
Meal was served and I was given cheese ravioli. I told him I ordered the manicotti.
His response
Oh. I have worked here a long time and this is basically the same thing. So just eat it.
I should have been notified at the time of ordering that manicotti is no longer served. He offered me mushroom?!?! As a replacement meal?!?

Amazing food, best italian ive had in dc. restaurant was pretty packed so it was pretty loud. food came quickly. got seated about 15 minutes after our reservation which isnt too bad.

We came for Thanksgiving the restaurant was recommend by a friend who lived there and it did not disappoint. It was beyond fantastic. I highly recommend and will be back again.

I have been coming to this establishment for over 30 years and it is always the highest quality and a wonderfully experienced staff.

As usual, the decorations for the holidays are over the top beautiful! The service is impeccable! they never rush your dinner. The food portions are very large, enough to share. The quality of the food is very fresh and definitely homemade. Always recommended to make a reservation or the wait time time can be very long!

Loved it. It is not cheap by any means, but the quality of the food and service makes it worth it.

The ambiance was spectacular! Maria, our server, was polite, poised, and very professional. She always made sure our drinks were filled and dishes removed as we dined. The Arancini is a must for an appetizer, my husband had the Fungi Manicotti, the boys and I had Ravioli alla Matrimoni. Our dishes were phenomenal! My only complaint, I wish we had room for dessert! Thank you Maria, and Filomena’s y’all never disappoint!

The mozzarella Caprese with burratta cheese is amazing. Also the Agnolotti (spinach ravioli in cream sauce) and lasagna can not be beat!

Was in town for a couple of days and took the opportunity to grab dinner there. It had been a couple of years since we had eaten here and it was just as great as we remembered.

My partner loves this place, so I took him there (again) for his birthday. We made reservations for two people at 7pm, but our table wasn’t ready until a little after 730pm, on a Tuesday night. The waiting area was packed and it was difficult to move around to reach the bar to grab a drink. Once we were seated, the service was good but the location of seats were directly at the entrance point to where everyone was entering to be seated. The noise level was loud but not to where we couldn’t communicate with each other. I was hoping for a more romantic experience. My partner loves the food but I think it’s over priced pasta dishes. I had the fried ravioli appetizers and a Caesar salad. My partner had the lasagna. I sampled the lasagna and it was okay, nothing special. Three orders of fried ravioli, lasagna, Caesar salad, and a bottle of wine equaled $183 w/tax. Okay Italian food but not my first choice when dining out - and I like to eat!!

Lovely place with a cute hook. Decorations and such make it very fun. It is way overpriced for what it is and the service this time was really slow.
