Filomena is perfect for the business luncheon or the elegant candle light dinner.
The service was terrible. The food was good after we sent it back. Waited for over 30min for my entree. My food came out cold and had to send it back. Hot the Manager Kevin and he took care of us from that point.
Our go to restaurant for RAMW restaurant week. The appetizers and main dishes are AMAZING! This is a Georgetown "must visit". Excellent all around.
Filomena is my favorite Italian restaurant in the area, and maybe of all time. I went with a group of 6 for restaurant week, as we do every restaurant week. We split all 5 appetizer options, and doubled up on the Calamari. All were spectacular. The entrees were all amazing as usual, and so was the dessert. You have to expect going in to Filomena that seating will be a bit cramped, with low lighting and moderately loud venue, but neither of those are big factors for our group to enjoy dinner. Getting such a delicious 3 course meal for $35 is such a great deal. We will be back in the Winter!
We went to this restaurant for the first time for s special anniversary dinner with our family. We were disappointed in the noise level and crowdness of the restaurant. Definitely not for an intimate dinner experience. It’s like a factory in there! We were at a table for 6 and couldn’t hear across the table. The food was very good and fresh.
Very rich good, restaurant extremely busy, hard to get
Food was great a little salty. Though did not have good service. The server was rude and gave us faces. Also, we were rushed and could not even finish the meal as they kept offering to box it up before we were even done.
I visit every time I am in DC! This time was just as terrific as past visits.
Filomena is one of those places that never disappoints.
Love visiting Filomena Ristorante! The meatballs and lasagna are out of this world.
Filomena is the absolute best!
Amazing food and great service. I will definitely be returning
The best Italian Food I've eaten in years! Can't wait to go back.
The food was very good but took sooooo long to come out.
This is our all-time favorite restaurant in DC. We went for lunch during Restaurant Week and it was amazing as always. I ordered the fried calamari and lasagna. The calamari is some of the best I've ever tasted, it just melts in your mouth. The lasagna is also incredible - it's a huge portion. When we've come for dinner, we usually can share an appetizer, entree, and dessert and still sometimes leave with leftovers. For dessert, you have to try the tres leches! It's the best I've had anywhere and we've tried it many other places. It's so light and delicious. You really can't wrong with anything on the menu.
our server nico was trash. our busboy juan took care of us most of the night.
It's always a great experience here, and the best pasta in DC. You can really tell the difference between pre-made pasta, and homemade. And Filomena definitely make their pasta in house.
Great quality food with huge portions. Great waitstaff too.
Great value especially during restaurant week. Best Italian I've had in the DC metro area. Substantial portions and very authentic. The deep complex flavor profile really comes through in their lasagna and meatballs.
Peter was an excellent server.
The portion is worth the price, the dishes are very creamy! If you like cheesy, creamy Italian dishes, don’t miss this res!
Amazing and highly recommend! The quantity and quality of food was outstanding. Having been to Italy, this is the real deal.
Huge quantities, best lasagna I have had out of Italy and outstanding service and price.
We always make Filomena a must stop when in DC. We had a family dinner Thursday but half did not make due to plane delays so only half the group was able to make it to Filomena that night . The next day, we we happened to get dropped off by taxi directly in front of restaurant and we all said this is not a coincidence!!! We entered the restaurant and the lovely man who greeted us heard our story from the night before and graciously found us a table!!! It was packed as usual but were seated at the same table as the night before!!! Thank you Filomena!! The food and wonderful wait staff made for again another fabulous trip to DC.
Filomena never disappoints! I make it a point to come here whenever I’m in DC. The food and service are excellent and we were there during restaurant week so got a price fixed menu for $35. A bargain!! I can’t recommend a visit to Filomena enough!!
We LOVE Filomena. Service is always on point, and the food is as delicious as the portions are massive. Tremendous value.
A culinary delight! The dishes were delicious, ambiance was a spectacular feast for the sense, and our waiter Vito was very attentive. Thank you for providing such an amazing gastronomic experience.
Too dark an environment. Food quantity too much. Food quality too little for cost. The best thing about the meal was the service of Maria. The food was a great disappointment to both me and my guest.
Went here for a family dinner. Food is delicious but the plates are extremely big, everyone in my table ate half or less than half of the plates.
Place can be found noisy. For peak hours like 8pm, make reservations at least 2 days in advance.
This is my favorite restaurant never disappointed.
Absolutely Fabulous... Lasagna and the Ravioli were the best ever and the meatballs were over the top delish as well.
I always have a beautiful experience here! The food is consistently delicious no matter what I order, and the service is flawless!
Excellent, as always!
From the ambience, to the service, to the food, everything was amazing. I have heard great things about Filomena’s over the years and I am happy to say that it exceeded expectations.
The best restaurant in DC, not to be missed! Huge portions and exceptional taste. LOVED IT!
Always my favorite place to go for occasions! I went for restaurant week this time and it was such a good deal with huge portions and amazing food as always! Can’t wait for my next visit.
So the look was deceiving. You walk in and you thinks it’s a little restaurant but little did we know that it is a huge dining room downstairs. We went for restaurant week and let me tell you it was worth it. Usually for restaurant week they give you a smaller portion of what the actual serving size really is. But not Filomena, this place gave us a full serving and it was AMAZING!! They give you enough food for 2 days. Overall I left a happy camper.
Filomena is an amazing restaurant, perfect for celebrating special occasions. Everything there is delicious.
I dined with coworkers during restaurant week. The food was FANTASTIC and the portions were worth every penny. I was able to bring home my leftovers and have a whole second meal for dinner the next night.
Unfortunately, the service was a little lack luster this evening. We made reservations for 7pm, but were not seated until close to 7:30. we then did not get drinks until 8pm and our first course at 8:30pm. When making reservations for 7pm, I expected to be eating a little earlier.
Then, we were asked if we could take our desserts to go, I am guessing to free up the table faster for some other patrons. I was disappointed by this request because we paid to eat the whole meal and planned to do so, especially after being seated 30 minutes later than expected. We politely declined their request to leave and ate our dessert in the restaurant.
After dessert, we asked for a our check and did not receive it for 25 minutes, which was a little disappointing as we had already been fairly delayed and ready to get out of there. After 3 hours in the restaurant, 1 hour of which was spent waiting before and after the meal, we finally were able to get our of there.
It might have just been a fluke situation because of the busyness of restaurant week, but I was a little disappointed by the experience.
Another outstanding meal at Filomena’s restaurant.
I enjoyed Introducing two of my colleagues to this wonderful restaurant.
It is now listed among some of their favorite restaurants as well as mine.
We happen to be there on restaurant week this August and we’re very pleased that the restaurant week menu serve the same size portions as their normal menu.
It was an outstanding value.
This is an outstanding restaurant for all occasions!
Maybe because it was during the Restaurant Week, the place was too noisy and therefore service suffered.
Also, main dish portions were too huge, almost to the point of being repulsive
