   Great Italian restaurant but more pricey than I’m used to paying for Italian food. I had the shrimp risotto with lobster sauce. I had a sangria, tiramisu and espresso. Everything was great. The portions are large.

   Filomena is a great Italian restaurant with excellent food and service. Everytime my family goes to Washington DC we have to have at least one meal there. It truly makes me feel like I am home eating my grandma's cooking as everything is prepared so well and tastes so good. Thank you for always making sure we have an excellent meal and we wish you another 100 years of quality service to us hungy customers.

   Salmon and stuffed shells was too lemony. Did not taste good. Mash potatoes with steak were not good. Service was not what is usually is not friendly.

   Excellent ,I grew up in Northen New Jersey with a large amount of Italian restaurants .Filomenas was one of my favorites. I will go every time I am in the DC area.

    First off HAPPY 40th ANNIVERSARY!! We have been coming here for 12 years every year for police week and a couple Octobers in between & every time we have never been disappointed. This is by far our favorite restaurant and the best food we have had in all of our travels here or at the home state in PA…and we come from two families with italian backgrounds that are originally from Jersey so compliments to restaurants (other than our family dinners) are far and few in between!! Thank you for making every experience here a memorable one! We appreciate all the hard work it takes into making a great meal !! Good luck to another 40+ years!!

    Waiter was respectful but highly distracted. I requested no added garlic and response was don’t worry there isn’t an over garlic factor. He said the chefs don’t even use FRESH garlic, just powdered!! and somehow that unfortunate fact justified the garlic issue!

    Expensive but the portions are huge. One entree could feed 2-3 people. Our waiter was great! hopefully they will come out with some nut free desserts soon!

    I’ve lived in DC and now visit frequently, how have I missed this gem! The service , meal, ambience took me back to Florence! The Sunday sauce is iconic, the bread basket alone is amazing, and the wine list a treasure chest- you HAVE to enjoy their house made cannoli’s! My new place for true lovely Italian. Bravo!

    Filomena's is one of the best Italian restaurants that I have eaten in. We always go there when in DC. It's a must for any pasta lover. It is quite loud but worth the trip.
