Food was ok and it was really stuffy. Overall it was fine but there are better places in the North End. Very basic Italian.
Delicious food and incredible service. Highly recommend.
So good. Didn’t realize their was meat in the fried mozzarella but other than that it was great. Would dine their again but read the menu more carefully.
Exceptional food and service. My new favorite Italian restaurant in the North End.
I loved the place. Very cozy and obviously very popular based on how busy it was and how many people kept pouring in. The seafood dish I had was AWESOME
Great food very busy restaurant alittle loud! Bar tender was great
I received the wrong meal, but they took care of it quickly and gave us a free glass of wine. Food was awesome
We eat here a lot, pre Celtics, the service is great, the food is always good, and it's reasonably priced.
Our server Christian was helpful with suggestions and attentive. Food was delicious. We had the antipasto, the marinaded eggplant was superb! We shared the veal parmigiana that was huge and tender with great flavor and the chicken Marsala with linguini that was delicious. For dessert we split their homemade cannoli and pizzelle cookies sprinkled with powdered sugar - too die for! Cannot wait to go back!
As always, the service from Lulu was excellent; and the dialogue was stimulating.
We had a reservation booked at 8:30PM on Sunday and when we arrived they told us the kitchen closed at 9PM.
We had a reservation at 6pm and were not seated until 6:30pm. It would have been fine if the restaurant was honest with us, but every ~10 minutes, the workers told us they were "flipping the table". Let's be honest, they weren't flipping the table for 30 minutes. Additionally, the waiter did not write down any of the orders (there were 9 of us) and got a few things wrong. The waiter also chastised our guests if they did not finish the food. The worst part though, was that one of our guests only ate half of her food. so she can take the rest home. She asked the waiter to wrap it up and take it home and he took it and then never brought it back out. She paid a good amount of money for only 1/2 a chicken parm dish. He did, however, give us some wine at a discount earlier in the evening. This was a disappointing restaurant experience. I would not go back here.
The food was delicious, the house wine is excellent for a house wine. It is great spot to go prior to a game at the Garden
No issues with reservation on a busy Saturday night, service and food were good.
Our waitress Lu Lu was very friendly and a lot of fun. Will return.
Love this place! Big portions priced right. I had The Boston Garden...has veal, eggplant parm and bacon!! Very close to the TD Garden so it is great for a pregame meal. Service was good and people were friendly.
Great food, great service! Filippos never disappoints!
Great place to eat before a concert at the Garden. They are very aware of what shows are happening, and start times so they know to get you in and out on time. With that said, at the same time, they don't just throw food at you and push you out. You feel like family there...especially if Lulu waits on your table.
Had a great pre-concert meal at Filippo. You feel like you are going back in time when walking in the door, and the decor is fun to look at with all the signed photos and memorabilia. The staff is friendly and fun, and the food was fantastic. Food came out very fast and we had plenty of time to get to the show.
Plan on going back in a few weeks when I'm back for another concert. Definitely recommend!
Reservation was honored at 5:30 even thought we where about 7 minutes late do to construction at TD Garden where they made us walk around not thru.
Food was great, and it came quickly. I would have thought maybe a bit more since pasta is very cheap to make but maybe this is the way things are in the North End? Good food but less of it?
It was my second time there and I will go back when I have a game or concert in Boston.
Excellent food. Staff is so warm and welcoming! LuLu is the best!
Always outstanding. Our favorite Boston restaurant. Amazing food, great people.
We both had the calamari with red sauce over linguine, the only way to describe it was Out Of This World. Would have ordered 2 if I had a big appetite.
We were .5 hr late due to bad directions, and they were kind enough to hold our table on a busy Friday nite before show at the garden.
Second time here, and can't wait to go again.
It is a great place to have a business meal before a Bruins game. the food is served quickly so you can eat and get to the game on time.
The service was excellent... the porcini sirloin with balsamic drizzle incredible...the chicken Parma was outstanding ...and the pasta fagiole is the best in the city... always our favorite before a B’s game ... the atmosphere is a little frenzied as a result but the staff was and always is friendly and attentive... love Fillipo
Great spot near the TD Garden and away from the hassle of Hanover Street. Great service and food!
Great authentic Italian cuisine in the North End. The focaccia and red sauce was amazing!
Food was terrific! Really enjoyed the calamari appetizer the best I have ever had
Service was terrific we had family in town and they were very welcoming
Will be back!
Perfect spot for a fun, indulgent meal before an event at the Garden. Very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Food was delish and Alex was perfectly attentive.
No complaints. Great food in a great atmosphere. 6 people all enjoyed their meals.
The food was good but there was a disagreement in the Kitchen and someone was intentionally injured by another employee with a knife. This lead to an ambulance and police and slow service which is understandable. But the fact that the police suggested closing for safety reasons was dismissed by the ownership and not even our drinks were comped was a bit disappointing. Food was good overall though.
So while the food here was okay, it was a strange experience to say the least. We made reservations for 7:30 on a Saturday night, although there were only a few other people seated in the restaurant so it didn't really seem like we needed them. I thought it was a little strange that it was so empty on a Saturday night, but there was a Celtics game so maybe people were there earlier. The hostess who seated us was very nice. The waitress came to the table pretty much immediately to introduce herself and take our drink order. We hadn't really had a second to look at the drink menu, so we just ordered wine. After she left, a waiter came over and introduced himself and asked for our drink order. We told him someone else was waiting on us. He said oh, okay then walked away. Then he came back and said, we all work together here. Not sure why he felt the need to come back and say that. So the food came out pretty quickly and it was good. We finished eating and ordered cappuccino and espresso. While we were finishing up, there was a HUGE crash of dishes in the kitchen. Two of the staff were in a full fledged fist fight, which we could see from our table. The entire restaurant staff were at the kitchen door watching. Then we heard someone say "put the knife down"! We were done. We paid for our food and as we left, a police car and ambulance were pulling up. Not exactly the ambiance we were looking for. I guess this could happen anywhere, but maybe some sort of acknowledgement, or apology about the incident as we were leaving would have been appreciated.
I love this place, we go here before the Celtics and they are very conscious of the game times and accommodating their clientele. Nice people.
Fillippos is a great place for a meal before the Bruins game, The server Lulu makes sure your food comes out timely so you can make the start of the game. My guest loved the pollo arribiatta
Very convenient location for Garden events ... Seated immediately ... Food was very good ... service was poor at best ... capped off by waiter refusal (inability?) to use a gift card, which I used last weekend
Great place for a pre-Garden event meal (short walk to Garden with 2 minute walk to parking garage.
Seating always seems available (reservation recommended) and service is quick. Very good home-style Italian cuisine. Wait staff is friendly and helpful. Good value.
Excellent food. Outstanding service. Great location near TD Garden
Allen at Bar * Five Star
Ann - who greets you* Five Star
Both excellent--friendly--exceed expectations--make it like home
Excellent find. First time there, and we will definitely be back. We came on a quiet Saturday afternoon and had wonderful food and excellent service. Chicken Lucia, Chicken Cacciatore, and a pasta dish. Thank you!
Always an enjoyable meal and service. The staff is very accommodating and funny. Especially Lulu and the barstaff.
