Excellent fast service before a Bruins game. Chicken parm was one of best I've eaten
great spot to meet for dinner before a bruins game. Quick service and great food
We had a wonderful experience at Filippo prior to a concert at the Garden. Lulu was our server and she was great. She was funny and engaging, plus we got hugs when we left. She reminded us of our Nana. The food portions are generous and the food is excellent. Highly recommend.
Great food, lots of menu options and great dor a pre-concert meal.
Whenever we go to an event at the TD Garden, we go to this restaurant for it is an easy walk away. The food is not only authentic, but absolutely delicious. On this visit I had the Veal Piccata and it was fantastic. My two dinner companions both had Sogliola Napoletana and both thoroughly enjoyed this fish dish. We could not leave without having dessert, so we had both the tiramisu and the cannoli. Both were light and tasty. The waitstaff is particularly attentive and even with so many diners, they make you feel special. Our dinners came out quickly and there is so much food that we had to take a bag to go. As I watched other patrons, you could tell the frequent diners were treated like family.
great food, great service!!
Perfect place to grab a bite before a show at the garden! Friendly, great food, authentic atmosphere
This was our third visit to Filippo and it has been consistently excellent in food and service. Our server asked if we were going to a show and made sure she got our order in quickly so we could eat our meal leisurely. We'll look forward to eating there again.
Our fav North end restaurant. Food is fantastic, staff makes u feel like your at your favorite Aunts house. Great wine list...can’t wait to go back.
Excelent time definatly would recomend. We had a hard time parking in the North end so we were late arriving. We called ,it was no problem and we were still seated right away. Food was great we had the two specials.
Good choice for pre-game before an event at the Garden. The staff knows is excellent and getting you in and out in time. The room in back, behind the bar, is a little quieter while the main room has large windows and good views. Food is very good, served hot and freshly prepared.
well, when in town , near TD North , you must definitely check this out. The waiter christiano was very friendly and attentive and very professional!
Chicken Lucia was not good. No taste and not sautéed / tasted like boiled chicken breast w sliced lemon on top. One fried artichoke on the dish and lemon sauce was very watery.
Last visit here was much better. Maybe just a bad night or bad choice.
Pre Celtic’s game.
We had a 6:30 reservation for a concert at the Garden. We were seated right away. It's certainly advantageous to make a reservation. Service was good, the food prepared well and plentiful. I'd definitely come back next time I'm in the area.
Great, old school-type red-sauce Italian place. We visited on what was a busy night, Bruins playing down the street, and had great service.
Food was delicious but the salad didn’t do justice to the rest of meal. Cheap plain iceberg. Very good dressing. Need to upgrade the greens!
Great location near RD Garden. They were able to accommodate our time problem and we made the game on time.
Service was attentive and the food was authentic!
Will definitely go back.
always great service and food!!! my go to restaurant before a bruins game!!
Excellent food, reasonable prices and authentic Italian recipes from Abruzzi. Terrific staff and service. Can’t beat the location for events at TD Garden. Buon cibo.
Food was great. Server was friendly. Wine was very good.
If you go there stick to wine, the martinis were some of the worst I’ve ever had.
The food was okay, nothing overwhelming.
This is a great venue to go to before a garden event or just for dinner. They have a great menu, delicious sauces and their wait staff is excellent. The dishes are good size so that you may want to bring some home for the next day. Great place.
Went with a group of clients to the Bruins game during a weeknight. Tom was our server and he was great! Very attentive to all of our needs. Kept the drinks and food going! My guests were very pleased with the food and atmosphere of the restaurant. Veal Saltimbocca was outstanding. Calamari and meat/cheese plate was delicious, as well as the prosciutto/cheese app! Short walk to the Garden and they were happy to make sure we were out in plenty of time for the puck drop. This will become a staple for future trips to the Bruins! Thank you Filippo for your hospitality.
Good all time place to go. Easy and a decent value for the money.
The food was delicious, but the service was lacking. I had to ask multiple times for my water to be refilled. Maybe water pitchers on the tables would be a good idea if the waitstaff are too busy. But I would definitely give it another try since the food was really tasty!
had dinner here before the bruins game, close to the parking garage and in the way to TD Garden, our reservations were for 5 we got there early and were quickly seated. They brought fresh baked bread to the table which was amazing, I ordered chicken and pasta tossed in Italian cheese, I finished every bite!! fast friendly service, I will definitely be back.
Always Great food and great servers.
Would recommend it to everyone.
Good was just ok. Better places in the North End. Service was terrible. Seemed like an imposition that we were there.
The food was good but our waiter made our night.
Very good Italian food. Service was good as well.
The food was absolutely delicious and the service was top notch.
Filippo Ristorante's portion sizes were great and the service was amazing. The food was some of the best I have had after living in the North End for the past year and was above my expectations. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Everytime we go to Boston Garden event we try the north end. Fillipo Restaurant is our fail safe.
Good affordable food. The staff knows to hustle before a garden event, so have never missed a drop of the puck, toss of the ball, or opening song.
more of a family atmosphere, as many people go there. so moderate on noise level
The environment is nice. The servers are friendly but a little slow. The food is good but for the price it's a tad expensive.
Great food, and my wife’s 30th! She loves it here, grew up going here, and it was everything she remembered.
The staff was so accommodating and friendly and the food was authentic Italian and absolutely delightful!
Food was very good, service was fantastic. Not sure if he was the owner but our server was super friendly, welcoming and entertaining. Overall a great experience!
The food was excellent!!! I had the veal Boston Garden and my husband had the stuffed chicken with the asparagus.
The hostess was nice and sweet. She recommend to don’t order appetizers because our meal was really big!!! And she was right!!!
It is a familial Italian restaurant and I love it!!!
The food was the most positive thing about our dinner. Our waiter started off fine. He took our drink order, appetizer order and served them. Then he left! He did not tell us he was leaving or introduce the person taking over for us. No one took over for him. After 10-15 minutes a person came over and started picking up our appetizer plates...without asking if we were done, which we weren’t! The only way I was able to keep the antipasto plate was to put my hand on it. All our other plates were taken. Still no one asked for our order. Finally we flagged down a young woman (bus girl perhaps) and she told us Tom had left and the other guy was our waiter. We explained that we had not given anyone our order and she offered to take it. The first round of dinners that came out were not ours. The second round of dinners were for 3 of us (we were 4). After the dinners, 2 salads came out. The last dinner came out at least 10 minutes later. There weren’t more than 5 tables seated in the restaurant. I did speak with the manager. She took the antipasto off the bill, but other than that she did not see a problem. Will not return.
