Best pizza and great ambience
Great atmosphere, interesting cocktail drinks, flavourful dishes, professional service, all round really good experience ;)
I love Figo. The pasta wasn't the best I've had but was still good and a lovely restaurant.
Great ambiance and drinks - main courses were good but nothing out of the ordinary
Disappointed by the cheese boards/chefs choice - the pickled veggies were stale and the option of only 2 small cheeses wasn’t the best.
The food and service was AMAZING!!! I cannot express how happy my party and I were with the level of attention we received. James our server, was very accommodating with one of our party members allergies and ensured we were well taken care. Thank you!! We highly recommend this place, especially if you’re looking for great Italian food and excellent service.
Restaurant was SO LOUD that we had to shout to hear one another. We made reservations for 5 people but were seated at a table for 4. Two people in chairs on one side and three on the banquette. Three on the banquette was fine, but the table was not long enough so the third person had half a table in front of them to eat off of. We asked for a chair to be put at the end. Chair arrived — perfect. Problem solved. But then they came and took the chair back because they didn’t have enough chairs in the restaurant! It was a very uncomfortable evening having the perch on the edge of the banquette.
The server was good — she came by several times at the start to ask us what we wanted to drink and if we wanted help with the menu. But when it came time to order, three of us had our hearts set on the Veal. She only then told us that the restaurant had run out of veal. That left us scrambling to find another dish on the menu, not easy to do when it has to be done under pressure. Should the server not have told us earlier if something on the menu wasn’t available?
So no chair and no veal. Not a good start.
The appetizers were good and all the food came out piping hot which is great. However, the chicken main course was very dry and the Linguine Vongole was lacking in flavour.. To end on a good note, the olive oil cake was very good. We all liked it.
But, we all agreed that none of us will return. Too loud, too uncomfortable, good service but only mediocre food.
Overpriced for the quality of food and service. Waitress did not provide anything extra to the experience. I got the seafood linguine and a glass of cab sauv. The wine was the best part, absolutely amazing. Pasta was OK.
Excellent service and good food but very crowded and noisy.
This is a lovely chic spot in the Entertainment District with good food and great service, but noisy for our taste. During our pre-theatre brunch, the noise level was exacerbated by the presence of a very large family celebrating a birthday. We would have appreciated knowing about this large party in advance; it might have affected our decision to come on this day.
Food was great! Service was awesome! Noise level was extremely loud. We were there Sunday for lunch. My mom wears hearing aids and she had to shut them off.
I would cautiously recommend to a friend in the hope that my most recent visit was an off night. I have been a few times prior to this and had good experiences, however on this occasion (which happened to be a special one for my wife) they were late having the table ready, by more than 20 minutes, and we were then rushed through service despite the seating being at 8pm. We were seated around 8:20pm then hurriedly asked if we were ready to order, mains came out 5 minutes after Apps to the point where we had to tell them to slow down (which is not our usual style). Had they looked at the group they would have likely seen there was an opportunity for us to stay and celebrate much longer than we ended up doing. One other down side is that their wine prices are too high for the environment, offering nothing under $65 is outside the norm in Toronto and they should adapt with a nice selection of house wines, the wines they do offer are good but many don't fit the build for a $75+ bottle. The food is tasty though and the ambiance is vibrant.
Nice ambiance, above average service minus a few errors that were made. We asked for bread and it was brought to us but we were not made aware that there was a charge. One of our mains was brought out with everyone’s appetizers and no one seemed to think it was an issue.
Other than that, food was great! Good experience but do not feel compelled to return.
Great service and food! Would highly recommend to others.
First the good news: Figo is a very short walk to the theatres on King St. and the food is excellent. They are used to having pre-theatre diners and respect your need to get out in time for the show. There were a couple of negatives: I found the wine to be more expensive than most other restaurants. The price of a 9oz. glass was more in line with the price of a bottle, causing my companion and me to limit our drinking to one 5oz. glass. Also, it was very noisy. We had agreed to high top seating, and based on the pictures of the restaurant I had seen online, I expected that we would be seated across from each other on high top chairs. Instead, we were seated at a dark table facing a post, side by side, thus exacerbating the difficulty hearing one another because we were not face to face. I would return to this restaurant because I enjoyed the food so much, but I would make darn sure that we could get a table.
lovely restaurant. food prepared and presented well. Service very good. wait staff attentive and professional
Overall an excellent experience of food and service. Great vibe for a night out
Branzino was very fishy tasting & hard not flaky
Food was tasty and well-prepared, service was friendly and professional, nice selection of wines. While the room is beautiful, we had expected the ambiance it to be quieter and a little more upscale. It was quite loud, not just with patrons chatting but also with pumping music, and we felt that having the serving staff dressed in jeans was more casual than the rest of experience suggested. We would certainly go back, now that we know what to expect.
Amazing food and service, just found it too loud.Great location as well and we are looking forward to our next visit.
Poor level from the gastronomic point of view. My choice was: "Burrata Bruschette", was a kind of joke, "bread with jam" should be its name; "Sea Bass Crudo", was definitely a raw joke, no idea about what was really thhose spice and salty pieces of "something"; "Seafood Linguine", no seafood taste in the course, unbelievable!!!; a bottle of "2015 Pasetti | Pecorino | Abruzzo": fantastic advice from the waiter and "tiramisu", really good.
Great lunch spot for pre theatre. Pizza and pasta limone were delicious. Wine and beer by glass lists were small but interesting. Will be back.
Love the food, we will be back! A little loud but managable
Amazing food. Very cool atmosphere. Loved it. And very filling!
The food is very good. I just wanted that they had had pay attention in my solicitation about a table near the glass.
I went there because the interior looks so beautiful, and the place seems to have good reviews on Google. We ordered from their brunch menu. The food was alright, but nothing special. You can tell they carefully select choice ingredients, but I was a little disappointed in the egg Benedict I ordered. It was simply two poached egg topped on a small bruschetta piece, plus some arugula leaves. None of the tastes leave me with strong impression. While the setting is so elegant, I was expecting something that has more thoughts behind, or creativity to it.
This is among my top 10 best dining experiences. I came here with 3 of my closest friends who were visiting from Ottawa and they all loved their meals.
Food was tasteless. Chicken scallapini was tasteless, except for the rapini. Nothing to offset the bitterness.
Everything tasted great as usual!
Only complaint is noise level. Otherwise great food and atmosphere
It is extremely loud. You basically need to scream to the person at the table. Service and food was good.
We will definitely be back! Fabulous !
Great food, great staff, great menu
Excellent food, excellent service....we were treated very well.
Went at lunch. The place gets loud. Not sure if it’s the acoustic but luckily we had a late reservation so most people starting leaving shortly after. Server was not attentive. Would not want him again. Food was good.
Nice food and good service
My friend and I had dinner at Figo this past Wednesday. We really enjoyed the ambience and the food was delicious. The menu was diverse with antipasti, pasta, pizza and main dishes. The service was prompt and excellent. The food was great value. I will definitely return.
The food was phenomenal!!! The wait staff was so friendly and made my friends and I feel so welcome. I couldn’t believe how trendy and lovely the ambiance was. A great find!
The place is amazing really good and fresh food the coffeeeee is just amazing!
$40 meal for lamp chops was unsatisfactory no sides served with it. My seafood pasta was tasteless and the mussels were not fresh. This was my second time at Figo. First time was better. Our server wasn’t friendly and we left hungry. The restaurant was way too loud and we had to yell to our friends across from us. Overall, we were unhappy and will not be returning.
We visited after our wedding and received great service. The manager sent us a bottle of champagne which was a nice touch! Food was great as always.
Funky place with great staff.
Food is very good with decent selection of meats, fishes, pizzas, and pastas.
