We recently had a delicious and cozy dinner at The Fifth Season. The ambiance on a cold night was warm and welcoming. The current Winter menu is fantastic. Amazing cocktails, food, and service as always. The staff truly cares about your experience from start to finish. Highly recommend!
Food was excellent. Ambience was excellent. Service was excellent - so good in fact that we felt a little rushed.
Excellent food and service. I thought the volume on the music could be a tad lower, but I'm older, lol.
Food and service was outstanding. Great location with view of port Jeff harbor and ferry. Steak was cooked to how I ordered it. Great cut of beef. Wait staff was very attentive and provided great service.
Always great! My favorite restaurant in Port Jeff!!
Food and service were both excellent. The special cocktail list was also very good.
Always fabulous food, fabulous service. Knowledgeable server. Great staff.
The chicken, broccoli and cheddar empanadas were fantastic. My steak was cooked to perfection. I highly recommend leaving room for dessert. It was a very busy and our waitress was very attentive.
Our third time dining here and it did not disappoint. The food was fantastic and the service was excellent.
Looking forward to our next visit.
Like always perfect!!! Great food, excellent service!!
Always a wonderful experience with my family. From food to service, everything is spot on!
It was a gift to arrive on the first day of the winter menu!
We started with “Local Burrata” - fresh with delicious flavors of mango, basil, and pickled jalapeño … the combination of flavors was incredible. Organic field green salad - again fresh as can be flavors play off of each other with balance and finished off with a sherry vinaigrette - yum! Our mains were Pan seared Scottish salmon (prepared perfectly), Short rib stew - cooked with care, meat was evenly cooked with no toughness - spices amazing compliment to dish.
Wine - Hayes Chardonnay & Rainstorm Pinot made it all come alive. Loved our server Stephanie and the safe and responsible vibes as the challenging virus times continue. Love the Fifth Season Restaurant - always creates a wonderful night out!
Fantastic as usual.
Everything was wonderful as always. This is one of our favorite restaurants.
My husband and I have had may New Years Eve dinners here. The ambience is both friendly and festive, and the food is delicious.
My daughter loved her birthday dinner! It was very nice that they brought over a vanilla gelato with a candle in it for her special day.
The staff is always lovely and friendly. The food is always delicious. The atmosphere is beautiful, and it’s never overly noisy. We were there for Christmas Eve dinner. The service was great, our waitress was super nice. The food itself was very good. The biggest problem was that we were not told in advance when we reserved that it was a price fixed menu. You could order a la carte, from that limited price fixed menu so that wasn’t really a game changer, because there was nothing else to choose from. Although we enjoyed our meals, we would have preferred the option to order off the menu, and we didn’t feel that what we got was worth $75 per person. Apps were tiny, very limited and honestly there was more empanada dough than sausage. Main course was well prepared, but when you’re paying big money for a meal, you don’t just want to see steak and mashed potatoes dumped on your plate! I can do that for a lot less money and just as easily at home. It wasn’t a fair value for what we paid.
Could not have asked for a better Christmas Eve dinner. Relaxing atmosphere and the food was excellent. Our server, Victoria, was as cheerful and pleasant as any I have ever had.
The food is so well prepared and the meats are always top quality.
Christmas Eve dinner was great. The menu was very extensive for a price fix with so much to choose from. I can’t say enough about the service. Our server Vinny, answered any questions we had about the menu and very knowledgeable about my gluten allergy. The drinks are made to perfection. Our meals were cooked perfectly and finished off with a delicious desert plated so nicely. The entire staff is very nice. We can’t wait to return for another great meal.
The staff and food are amazing. We always enjoy going to the fifth season.
I realize it was Christmas Eve, but I could have gotten a nicer cut of filet mignon at stop & shop, plus everything was served at room temperature. And it is winter time, put on some heat, the place was cold and drafty.
Merry Christmas Eve Dinner at 5th Season! The staff made a HUGE error and served my husband a tamale with meat in it and he has alphagal from a tick bite many years ago. The owner ran to store and bought him benedryl! We have been through hell and back this month with my son’s open heart surgery and just didn’t have the energy to fight. We remained calm, completely, we are just burned out I suppose. But end of story he didn’t eat enough meat to get too sick! And they treated us to dinner. It was delicious by the way! Ohhhh and from the Open Table app, they knew our anniversary was upcoming (12/27 is our 40th) so look at desert! AND my son may get to go home from hospital today. What can I say? It’s all good 😊
Very elegant dining with delicious food and friendly service.
The food was excellent as was our server. He was attentive and enthusiastic. Will definitely be coming back another time
I had a wonderful time being sated just a short walk from the Long Island Sound. The Mac and Cheese sticks to your ribs so well that if I were Adam, God would’ve had a difficult time creating Eve. The main course was seasoned with the perfect amount of Salt-N-Peppa and the Sloop IPA got me wanting to Shoop for real.
At a time where you can experience all four seasons in one day, the fifth seasoning here is the staff. The server, Diane, was attentive and had the memory of an elephant and the speed of a chipmunk. It’s nuts how knowledgeable she was about the menu. After dinner, it was over to the bar for a cocktail, one more round to square off the evening. Veronica and Maggie knocked it out like Rocky jazzed Drago. And for a last perk, the espresso that Tommy made was as smooth as a silky croon from Ol’ Blue Eyes.
I should add that a previous time I was here, Jason, our server, was the consummate gentleman. It was my grandmother’s 95th birthday and he made every accommodation that would pertain to the sensibilities of a palate born from the Great Depression. This is to say, a plain Jane on her least adventurous day. Basically, she wants everything devoid of the flavorful accoutrements that are offered. While my head shook left to right, hers nodded with full approval. We had a joyous time and he was an accommodating photographer.
Recommended one hunny.
As always, we had an amazing experience. From the beginning to end it was seamless and visually appealing. I look forward to our next visit.
Always a great experience, the food and service is fantastic!
Absolutely amazing food and drink, wonderful service, and a cozy holiday atmosphere! They change their menu seasonally so we never get bored coming back here! This place is one of our favorites and we love coming here for every occasion or even just for a date night. Every time we come we are met with a warm welcome, impeccable service, great ambiance, and food that we leave thinking about for days! Definitely would recommend!
the decorating was beautiful for Christmas and our food was delicious. The waitress was friendly and knowledgeable.
It’s been a good long while since I’ve been here. I won’t be back…the food was well below average, service was average, drinks were not good. Really disappointing in all aspects. For $150 a couple I don’t expect to be blown away, but I expect to at least find something redeemable. Nothing. Apps were bad from sandy clams to burnt bread. My pork chop special was beyond dry and the potatoes tasted powdered. The other three entrees were subpar - overcooked salmon, and a gnocchi mess that was just poor. I don’t leave reviews, but if something is good enough or bad enough I feel the need to put it out there. This place is a far cry from what it was. Do yourself a favor, find some place else to go.
The food and the service are excellent. We always have a great meal at this restaurant.
A definite goto for a consistently awesome dining experience!
Bunny and George were excellent! Wonderful atmosphere and food was delicious!
Took my other half for his birthday dinner. We just moved to PJ so wanted to check out a restaurant near by and we were not disappointed. Made reservations via open table and stated it was for a birthday dinner. They provided a happy birthday dessert plate which they picked up on through open table. Very welcoming, super friendly and great food as reasonable prices! We got seats on the second floor with a nice view of the village. Highly recommend this restaurant. I wish I remembered our waiters name because he was amazing!
Amazing food, exceptional service, and memorable ambiance. Five stars all the way around!
Thoroughly enjoyed the autumn menu. We tried almost all the starters, and were so impressed with the grilled shrimp, we ordered a second plate. Extensive list of holiday cocktails, too. Will definitely come back soon.
Haven’t been to Fifth Season in over two years and we were disappointed that it was not as good as in the past. Nothing was specifically wrong it just lacked any “wow” factor. The meal was average in quality and taste. I won’t rush back.
Do yourself a favor and visit The Fifth Season. From start to finish it was the best meal we’ve had in a while. The holiday ambiance is welcoming and charming. The new winter cocktail menu is fantastic and I look forward to trying more of them. Our server was extremely knowledgeable and made great recommendations. We can’t wait to return again soon.
