One of our favorites, always a special restaurant to experience. The service was excellent, the accommodation for the table we requested perfect, the dinner was on point. Due to an unfortunate situation we had to leave early, our waitress responded perfectly, packaged a to go bag, and rushed us our check. It was very much appreciated. We will be back!
Outstanding! It was my husbands birthday and we had a beautiful dinner. I had the fish of the day which was fluke and it was delicious and gluten free. It is so nice to order with no fear of getting sick from cross contamination of gluten. We had first time guests with us who are super picky eaters and they loved everything from drinks to dessert. As always thanks to all who make dining at Fifth Season a pleasure.
We highly recommend this place for the ambiance and the food and cocktails. The prix fix menu was very reasonable. We will definitely be back to try another seasons menu.
The service was excellent but the food was pedestrian. Even though there was no one in the restaurant when we arrived, our request to sit in the area by the fireplace was denied. Overall we gave it 3 stars.
A+ cuisine and ambiance. Fine food selections from tasty entrée through and to the demitasse. Exquisite dining. Nearby waterfront and within walking distance to theater, shopping, waterfront inn lodging and other dining. The Saturday evening music will appeal to the millennial guests. Perfect dining experience during the November-December holiday season.
Great service and the food is the best. Our favorite restaurant!
The food is amazing. Never disappointing every time we go food is always great and service is quick. Its one of our favorite restaurants with a lot of great choices for food. Make reservation in summer time or on weekends it can be busy.
Service was great. Food was amazing. Very nice atmosphere. Great place.
We had a great time! The staff was great and they made such a special experience for us!
High marks across the board. The Appetizer special of Foie Gras was prepared with a direct vision that imbued a knowledge of the ingredients necessary to showcase the product. The local Burrata was handled elegantly with impeccable freshness and quality. The special entrees, fresh black fish and chipotle ribs (each accompanied with comfort sides that reminds one of the reason why we seek fine dining) were prepared cunningly with the techniques best suited to raise the dish to its full potential. The service was a well oiled machine of sleek design and efficient flow. I would highly recommend the Gewurztraminer with the appetizers and the Goose Island Matilda with the entrees-respectively. The Apple tart with coffee was the seasonal taste that completed a well constructed dining experience. Hard work, diligence, and acumen of profession reign supreme. I am looking forward to my next visit.
Diane was great!
The most delicious food on Long Island!! It's local/healthy/homecooked. Several Gluten-free options!
Outstanding food & service. Seasonal changes on menu include organic items
Always great food and service ! Amazing foie gras and martinis!
Very accommodating , great meal!
It used to be a very good restaurant. Now the cusine is so-so. The menu is very limited. The wine is.still good.
Great wait staff
Owners are lovely
Food is very good
Love it here
This was a great return trip but the food was just slightly low on overall flavor. We could have used more seasoning on our ravioli and the gnocchi and sausage dish we had. The appetizers were great and our waiter was excellent. Definitely be coming back.
Excellent service, presentation, and quality.
The menu is adventurous, and there are vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options.
I enjoyed the food and the entire experience.
On a Friday night, the restaurant was crowded and the seating was tight and cramped. We opted to have dinner in the bar area, which was empty, and had a private table by a window. The food was excellent and we received outstanding service from the bartender.
Place is awesome. Service is better... just go and enjoy.
The food is always delicious
The Service and food excellent!
So much Attention to detail. Great wine list, too.
Can’t wait to go back!
We had a table of 4 for a 5:30 pm dinner and this was our second time at Fifth Season.
As was the first time, this was start to finish a perfect dinner, place and time. When we arrived, there were quite a few empty tables on the second floor but within a hour the place filled up. At times a little noisy but not enough to bother us. People were having a good time!
It was 'Restaurant Week' and they provided a full menu consisting of three courses. We all ordered something different and paid extra for the various dishes. The filet is the best at $16.00 over the 'R.W." special prices. We thought the fancy souses on the other dishes like Butternut Squash and Ravioli were a little much but tasted OK.
As per the service, it couldn't have been better. Everyone attending our table were very attentive and could't do enough to make everything just right.
Concerning the location: Parking in Port Jefferson is a problem as the town seems to charge for any car any where they can. But the people at F. S. anticipated that and happily paid our parking fee. As said, we had our dinner on the second floor. Be prepared for a hike up the stairs as the second floor is way up there (nice views by the windows). We guess there's an elevator but hot sure. There's tables on the first floor too so don't be too concerned about that. Just find out first if this concerns you.
All in all, a great place, probably the best in Port Jefferson, and we will definitely be back soon.
Long Island restaurant week
Loved the food and ambiance again. This is not the first time I have dined here. The wine was good also. Had a reservation, so was seated immediately. I give this restaurant 5 stars!
Always a treat to dine here! Our favorite Port Jefferson restaurant.
Everything was perfect as usual!
Aside from being a bit pricey, it was a wonderful experience!
Outstanding food & service!
Consistently amazing food and service!
Seasonal menu had great choices. Tried something new for my entree- chick pea fritters and roasted seasonal vegetables- outstanding!!
Pumpkin martini tasted like Fall- perfect for the season. Service was wonderful- friendly.
Very relaxed dinner. Highly recommend eating here.
Food was absolutely great , price fix menu has plenty of choices. I will be going back very soon
The roasted beet salad was tasty with interesting combo of flavors; my duck entree was awesome with tender breast of duck and nice|-size portion. My friend loved her salmon entree as well. The almond cake dessert was yummy. Th gelato was good but boring flavors. Service was attentive but not intrusive. Would definitely recommend and would return
Our waitress was very absent and only came to check on us once, making it take over 30min to get our check. The bussing staff came and asked about our check and what they could do because our waitress was nowhere to be found. We ordered a burger medium, but it was really medium rare and was cold. The fries were soft and cold from not being cooked enough. We also ordered a side of broccoli, but it was so covered in pepper we couldn’t eat it because it was so spicy. It wasn’t seasoned in it, it was completely covered. We couldn’t even find our waitress to send the food back. Extremely dissapointed because it was my boyfriend’s birthday and the meal and service were awful. Not worth the money.
We came here for a pre-wedding dinner with our families and had a fantastic dinner! The service was fantastic and so was the food. Thank you for contributing to our wonderful wedding weekend!
Great food, excellent service. Very understanding and helpful with allergies. Thank you
We have been dining at fifth season since they opened and have found it to be consistently very good. The drinks were excellent and the waiter excellent. A nice choice of appetizers and special appetizers. The mains were also excellent. You do not leave hungry. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Another wonderful meal at Fifth Season. Beef short ribs were tender and succulent, and even the broccoli was good. Apple desert - my husband ate it, I was too full - was excellent. We were served a Maryland crab cake, which I will order another time. Superb! This is, imho, far the best restaurant in the area. Looking forward to Restaurant Week!
