Field's at the Wilderness
A most enjoyable restaurant. One of the finest in the Dells area. The ambience is very inviting. Nice warm rolls, very well prepared salads. My husband had the Veal Picatta & I had the Chicken Florentine. Our side was a Twice Baked Potato. Delicious & served hot. Excellent service by Annie & Wendy. We belong to the birthday club so was nice to have a BOGO. Always look forward to dining at Fields. We are 6 month seasonals in the area so will have to wait till next spring again.
Excellent food & service. Drinks are outstanding
Will definitely dine here again when we come back to the area
One of our favorite places to go! We can always count on great food and service. The attention to detail with food design is amazing.
We definitely will return. It met all our expectations and then some !
Fields is the nicest place in the Dells, but that doesn't mean it's actually "nice." Excellent service and quality food. A little overpriced, but not terrible. The decor and ambience is a bit kitschy....like stepping back into the 90s (Hunter green carpet, light oak finishes). With a renovation it could be quite nice. It's still the place to go for a steakhouse dinner while in the Dells.
Great place. A little on the price side for the area, but not over the top for the quality of the food and service
We look forward to an awesome meal & excellent service every year, and we have never been disappointed.
Love the ambiance. The service was great and the food was delicious. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!
Our over all experience was great. Service is exceptional. That was our first time going and we will go back.
Amazing great quality food. Everything we ordered was delicious. And one of best deserts I ever had . Place itself is also very beautiful
Not every restaurant is friendly to children in Wisconsin Dells. But this restaurant was exceptionally welcoming of our entire family. Due to a breeze, we switched from the patio to the dining room, and they were super accommodating. Food was incredible and the prairie style design is really nice to look at. A must stop in Wisconsin Dells!
Loved everything about it! Food was amazing!! We will definitely visit again!
It's the second time in a row that we've been there and had a lousy meal. When we sat down I asked the waiter if I could see the locals menu and he rolled his eyes and said yes, I ordered a medium rare prime rib and it came out overdone and grey looking this second time in a row this has happened. I'm sorry but I'm done with Fields I've been a long time customer but I think I'll look around for someplace different. Service was sub par
Outstanding as always! The service and food was great in a nice, quiet atmosphere.
We visit Field's every time we stay in the Dells. Always satisfying!
The Lobster Bisque and salads were very good but the main courses of Prime Rib and Beef Tenderloin were tasteless. The service was ok but could have been much better given that there are 4 servers/table. We would not return.
Best place to be pampered while enjoying fabulous food, The bar is amazing. All of our special occasions are spent here.
We were seated at a table where me and my fiance were sitting next to each other and not across from each other. We were placed facing out towards everyone and felt very uncomfortable as everyone was watching us and all we could look at was everyone else. It would have been nice to have been asked if we were okay with this table. I put on my reservation that it was my fiances birthday but nothing was said or done. Not that we were expecting something we were just confused as of why it asked if we were celebrating anything but it was never addressed. Our waitress did not seem very happy to be there and we waited a long time for her to come back after we asked for something. The food was definitely not worth paying over 100 dollars for. My Fiances prime rib was 50% fat so he could not enjoy it. My food was just okay. The best part honestly was the bread and butter and the hand towels that smelt nice. I would not go back here and would not recommend it to anyone. Unfortunately we walked out hungry and not very excited on what had happened.
The absolute BEST service my husband and have had in 6 years!
When arriving I quickly noticed how polished looking all of the staff were.
The food, drinks, ambience and especially the service was beyond exceptional.
We live in Madison and have been to the top five restaurants in the city, and have NEVER experienced service like that at ANY of them.
Bravo to your staff and chefs!
We definitely will be returning!!!
Some of the best prime rib I ever had would order it again
I love Field’s at the wilderness, I have been eating here for over 20 years and I still think it’s the best steakhouse in the Dells. The Caesar salad and double baked potato are a great choice to go with your steak. Great place to spend your evening after a long day at the pool. Kids loved it too!
Wait staff was very attentive and polite. The service was great and the food exceptional.
Was there for my 10 year olds birthday. Outstanding experience. Food was great. Bianca was lovely as was the rest of the team.
I thought the overall quality of my filet was fine, but I've had better. It was fairly tender, but just not the best quality. I'm no connoisseur of fine meats, but I've had a few real good filet's here in Milwaukee and this one is just not the best. We had a nice table looking at fountain. Exterior landscaping should be better kept. Service was great!
Fields was amazing. The service was exceptional from the moment we arrived. We had a gorgeous view from the table as well. The wait staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. The food was amazing. The steak was melt in your mouth good. They had a lot of options for food, drinks, desserts as well. We will definitely come back if we visit The Wilderness again.
Best food in the Dells so far
The seafood trio was a great choice. We also ordered the lobster bisque and it was fantastic. The hostess was sure to put us at a table by the window with a great view of the fountain outside. Overall it was a great venue for our anniversary dinner. However, it's not a place I could afford to eat every week. Enjoy.
Been going to Fields for over 18 years. Awesome food and awesome service. They have the nicest people.
We had a great experience from the moment we walked in. Welcoming clean and relaxing. Good food and great live music on the patio. Loved it.
First poor experience here. I think they were short staffed July 4th
Food was cooked and seasoned to perfection. Wait staff was very welcoming and attentive!
Food was really good! Had sirloin steak it malted in your mouth and the twice baked potatoes was amazing!
We have been to many restaurants around the country and Fields is our favorite hands down. The steak is always superb.
Restaurant honored my request for a nice table to celebrate our anniversary. We enjoyed the view of the patio and water feature. Service was outstanding, and we were given a complimentary sundae which was a nice touch.
Food was good. I had the cod and it could have used a bit more flavoring. Salmon looked great. The pasta dish was a bit heavy as they use a thick pasta but had decent flavor. Fillet looked very good
The dining experience was fantastic! The decor is a bit antiquated, but still looks somewhat modern and different. The service is pretty good, though it’s clear to notice when the restaurant is busy and employees are more stressed. Nevertheless, I would strongly consider returning.
We dine at Field's several time a year and it's always a wonderful experience. This time it was a birthday celebration and everything was excellent.
Every aspect of our experience at Field's was excellent. All staff were very friendly and efficient. My husband and I enjoy the bar - the design of it (quite large with neon lights) is unique. The drinks are good and service, again, excellent. We truly appreciate the fact that Field's has a dining room that is pretty much adults only. The food was superb. My husband had lobster, asparagus, and the wilderness salad. I had filet and lobster, green beans almandine, and a salad. The only disappointment was that I should have ordered the Wilderness salad - the regular salad is quite simple, lettuce and a few tomatoes. Next time I won't forget the Wilderness salad! The Wilderness is a favorite Wisconsin Dells restaurant which we will continue to visit when we are in town.
Service was very good. All waitstaff extremely courteous, friendly and attentive. Food was excellent and prepared just right. We had requested a quiet booth because we were celebrating our 48th anniversary. They had a very nice booth for us and surprised us with a complimentary dessert for our special day! Unfortunately, a group of six came in and were seated nearby. The more they drank, the louder they got! The restaurant can't be blamed for that. Just wish people would realize when they are out in public, especially at a nice restaurant, not everyone cares to hear their conversation. All in all, a wonderful evening.
The food was very expensive for the quality. The wait staff was very friendly, but over the top. They were so fast to clean up, they actually tried taking away our bread and salad before we were done. We had to stop them. And it wasn’t due to being too busy. We were one of maybe 5 tables in the whole restaurant. I had been looking forward to my first visit, and was pretty disappointed.
