   We had book a reservation on Mother's Day at about 5 PM. We arrived and were seated right away. It was just a reservation for 3 people. The waitress came over and we ordered our drinks and then we placed our order. This is where the miscommunication started. I asked what the vegetable was and she said it was green bean almondine and asparagus. So I chose the asparagus. Everything came out was delicious and we enjoyed our meal. Towards the end of the meal we asked for our bill and I knew I had to pay an upgrade for my Cesar salad. What I wasn't expecting was that it was another $5 charge for the asparagus. We were appalled that we were not made aware that it was extra. We asked for our waitress and she said that she did tell us that it was ala carte, my mom and I both looked at each other and said we never heard you say ala carte. She said she was sorry if we didn't hear it but it is extra. I said well okay then I guess I have to pay the extra. When she came to take our bill she came back with a new bill that had taken the extra charge off. I didn't expect that and we were just taken a back that it wasn't told to us that it was an extra charge. It should be written in the menu that it was extra or something on paper that the wait staff can give us. In the end our meal was good and we will be back again.

   Excellent everything from the delicious food and drinks to the great service. We have dined many times at Fields and we have always had a fantastic dining experience. Top notch, five stars out of five. The architecture is also something to see. Beautiful inside and out. If you’re looking for a “Wow” factor, this is the place. Enjoy and happy dining.

   Brought two friend with my mom and I because we live going to fields when we are in town and they were absolutely thrilled and believe they will be back also

   Nice atmosphere. Meat was excellent but a bit overcooked. Dessert menu needed more options without coffee. Good service.
