Service was just ok. Food took quite awhile to come out.
2 out of four steaks cooked correctly. The other 2 were over cooked. I ordered mine medium rare and it came medium well. I waited for the server to come so I could tell them, but it took so long just to flag someone down. I didn't want to wait 40 plus minutes for a new steak so ended up getting a1 for my filet. They didn't really seem to care. Lobster bisque was good as was the birthday sundae with carmel.
We were overly impressed with the service and food. Our server was very attentive, but didn't hang on us and gave us ample time between all stages. Lobster bisque is phenomenal, steak was done perfectly and so tender, the seafood trio special was very flavorful and done perfectly as well. Highly recommend!
Great food and service, they haven't let me down yet
Very nice experience, delicious food & great service.
I had a private room, well done.
Everything was lovely. Some of the food items were a bit bland. Spice it up!
Excellent food and service. Atmosphere was quiet but we were there midweek.
We were celebrating and put a note on open table. No one acknowledged anything about it. Feel like the quality of food and staff has definitely gone down
This place is wonderful. My only complaint is that I made a reservation through this site a month in advance for a special occassion. When we arrived (30 minutes early), they could not locate my reservation. Luckily, they were still able to seat us. Technology is great, but in the future I will just call to make a reservation.
Great food and drinks for our date night! We highly recommend it!
Very nice ambience. Excellent food. We had our favorites- Chicken Marsala & Veal Piccata. Well presented Salad Twice Baked Potatoes tasty warm rolls. Service very friendly. Only complaint was the food came just after we were finishing our salads. All in all a pleasant evening out with friends. Birthday Club BOGO is nice perk that they offer. Thank you Fields!
Fantastic food ... prime rib was fork tender and luscious....great relaxed atmosphere and quiet enough for good conversation...very attentive staff and quick service..
We sat outside on their recently completed patio. Great outdoor views with plenty of seating on multiple levels. We watched a large hawk perched on a nearby tree sunning himself while we dined. As always, the food was great and the waitstaff very friendly.
Food was amazing. Atmosphere was romantic and perfect for my husband and my first anniversary. Service was the best I have ever had! Exceptional experience!
Awesome, upscale restaurant in the Dells. The food and service is great! Keep it up!! Every time I go to the dells I bring my friends and family here so they can enjoy the exquisite experience and food.
Very disorganized service...had several waiters throughout the dinner experience...waited to get menus for the longest time...would not return to this restaurant.
The quality of food is what sets this restaurant apart from most supper clubs. I love the white table cloth and low lit ambiance. The steaks are always a sure winner and have never been disappointed with their seafood choices. We tend to save this one for a special occasion. It is in a resort town which means it may be busy and families are present. Great if your a family but may not be great for that romantic dinner. For us, the food and service are worth making the trip.
Service was amazing and the atmosphere was very enjoyable. The lobster bisc was delicious, the new york strip was ordered med rare and was received very rare.
great steaks and seafood. good selection. easy parking.
It was a Thursday evening, it was slow. I was by myself and the service was slow. I had to ask for a roll and refill on my coffee. I was never offered a desert menu. I usually have eaten in Fields on Friday or Saturday night, and always have had good food and good service. I don’t know if it was because I was by myself that service wasn’t good?
The food was well prepared and excellent service. I enjoyed the meal and would definitely go back. It is somewhat pricey but not unreasonable.
The prime rib and steak dinner were perfectly cooked. The staff was amazing.
Prices were a little high, but overall it was a great experience.
The service was amazing. We never went without an empty glass and the servers were very attentive and informative. The food was delicious. We both had the filet and it was cooked to perfection. I will definitely be back!
Best prime rib in WI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Overall more fancy than the type of place I'm use to, but our server was super good and it was all spectacular.
Worst food and drinks ever! Would never recommend this place, manager almost unapologetic for the experience.... save your money as the prices they demand for the lack of quality meals is unreal! I lost me appetite and would have preferred to eat dog food!
Can't get better service anywhere. First class all the way. Great food
This restaurant was by far the fanciest restaurant that I have ever dined at! I had the Chicken Alfredo and the Steak Quesadilla, and they were absolutely fantastic! I live in Minnesota, but I would drive all the way here just to eat there again!
Field's was a recommendation from our vacation rental nearby. My husband and I were disappointed. When making the reservation, I did not realize it was part of a resort (we had to walk through the Go Karts to get there from where we parked). We were seated right away. After being handed our menus we were immediately asked by our server for our drink order, not having had a chance to see our choices. The Manhattans we ordered were full of ice, which killed the drinks. The menu choices were ok for a family style steak house. We stayed in what appeared to be their comfort zone and ordered steaks. The meat was cooked well, which was the only redeeming part of the meal. Once our plates were cleared, we were handed the check without being asked if we wanted anything else. We did. After receiving the dessert menu, we felt ditched. It took a while for anyone to check on us. A young man who I think was a busser came to take our dessert order. I asked for an affogato (I mean, when they serve illy, you have to). He didn't know whether they could do that for me as it wasn't on the menu. Then a man I presume was the manager came to see what I was asking for. No problem. Our original server came back with a cappuccino sized cup without the ice cream. Sent her back. The affogato I finally did get was just as I expected. So, I guess they got 2 things right. When the check came, we struggled over how to tip on an overpriced meal with crappy service. Rarely an issue for us. Like I said before, disappointing. (And man, am I glad they didn't bring me a crema instead, because they use Cool Whip and that would have been weird.)
Awesome food and service! Lobster was amazing! Wait staff was very attentive, cocktails were very good, great wine selection!
Great food, service was particularly slow even for an upscale restaurant where you expect more time between courses. Little more attention to the tables and where diners are at in their meal would make it a great place all around.
We’ve started a tradition of eating at Fields when on vacation in the Dells. The food and service is great and the grandkids make us laugh when they say things like they should be wearing a top hat because it’s such fine dining. Steaks, pork chops and service are the best!
Our food was delicious but not as hot as we wanted
Tough call between this and Double Cut as the best restaurants in the Dells. In truth, Double Cut has better better and more diverse apps that will knock your socks off, but Fields has more accurately cooked steaks and properly cooked seafood entrees.
So if you want lobster perfectly prepared or say medium steaks, this is the place. If you want a more modern atmosphere and great tuna, steak tartare, and other apps, head over to Double Cut.
Prices are near the same and the only honest complaints at either place is that the prices are high for the area, but if you expect that going in these places are decent competitors for high end dining at the Dells.
We've been to Field's many times over the years. It used to be something "special" but doesn't seem to be that anymore. Server was ok. The food was ok but certainly didn't knock our socks off. Could have used more flavor. And it may be a small thing but the butter was rock hard. But then is the small things that can set apart a restaurant from being good to being great.
They removed spinach salad with bacon dressing from their offerings....sorely missed. The chicken Marsala was soooo much better the ,sat time I was there. Did they get a new chef? He/she forgot to put the Marsala wine in. BLAND tasting food....had to add salt and pepper...a first! Service was great,
Dinner was very rushed and the restaurant was empty. My fish was over done and dry. Service was ok. Not what you expect for the cost
Went there for our anniversary. The food was fantastic, I have the seafood trio and my husband had the prime rib. Both were perfect. We split the Kahlua & Bailey's Mudslide Torte and it was amazing. The service was really attentive and timely with all the courses of the meal. Everyone on staff made the restaurant really enjoyable. My only complaint was that we were seated right next to the busing station, even though there were a lot of other open tables. It just took away from the experience, which was disappointing.
Always great food and good service. A very nice place to enjoy a great dinner!
Wonderful as usual. My favorite
