It is a place for those who do not want loud families, or burgers and pizza. the menu is limited to steak. We are healthy minded and had a very hard time finding healthy items.

Loved the food, quality and atmosphere! We would definitely come back again. The only thing that was off was our server seemed really standoffish in an uppity and condescending way. Everyone else was really nice so I think it was just her.

Meals are pricey to start with but then the servers ask you whether you'd like you add a few accoutrements which, unknowingly, turn out to be a la carte. I find this kind salesmanship undesirable and distasteful. My filet was tender but I mistakenly added the peppercorn crust (extra charge) and it was very overwhelming and, in my opinion, ruined the steak. I ended up scraping it off. However, had I not added the peppercorn, much like other reviewers have stated, the steak would have been boring and bland, despite the tenderness. The best feature of the meal was the service, which was outstanding and attentive. But that is not enough to make me return for an overpriced, under seasoned filet.

Fields has it all. Ambiance, excellent food, excellent bar, live music on weekends, well trained wait staff, and it's both casual and dressy. Great for special occasions.

Went here for our anniversary, the food was amazing, my wife got the fish special and I got a filet special, both cook perfectly and delicious. Only reason for rating the service a 4 Star was our server forgot our drinks at the bar until reminded, but was otherwise was very nice and was attentive but not hovering. View out to the pond was nice even though not on lake or river.

The food was very disappointing. My husband's steak was over cooked and very dry. I had recommended this restaurant and had to apologize to my friends for doing so. We don't mind "pricey" restaurants but then we expect the food to be top notch!!!

My son and I were on vacation for Morhers Day so we came here for a special dinner. The restaurant and bar were beautiful. I loved my steak but the vegetables were under cooked considerably and the bread rolls were very hard, not crusty and soft as they should have been.. Our waitress was kind and attentive. After drinks were ordered, they brought the wrong one to the table. It was quickly corrected. We came towards the end of the evening so mistakes are bound to happen. All over it was a nice experience but pricey. I expected a little more out of a 5 Stsr restaurant and the great personal reviews from others. But we would probably give it another chance.

Disappointed. Marsala was like none we have had and shrimp was average wait staff efficient but no personality. Hot towel nice touch but what was that unpleasant smell?

The waitress was mechanical. Shoving each course in front of you even if you weren't done with the last. The kitchen timed the meals terribly.
The soup was OK. You can tell when they shove it under the salamander to heat it up it leaves a light crust on the top. Gross. With less than .25 ounces of lobster meat you could hardly call it your "Famous Lobster Bisque".
The 7ounce Tenderloin filet special was OK. The waitress never checked back with us to see if the order was correct. It wasn't medium rare, it was medium. The cut of meat was cheap, not tender and had no flavor.
I always made this a stop on a business trip, 2-3 times a year. I have to explore new options and I suggest you do as well.

Wonderful experience. Delicious food. Servers were all terrific and always working--never had to ask them for a thing--they anticipated all our needs. We ordered different meals, and each one was outstanding. Our bottle of wine was delicious. Everything was explained to us by our waitress. A beautiful location and view. It is expensive, but we feel we got our money's worth. We would definitely return.

The last time we came to the wilderness was 10 years ago and we were so impressed with the food and the service. 10 years later, nothing has changed. It was as amazing as we remembered it. Hope to be back sooner than later!

The bad service really spoiled the entire dining . We went to Fields for my mother’s 80th birthday. The free sundae was a bonus, but the server never returned after our food was delivered. We needed to request the check. Not good for a formal dining experience.

The last two times I've been to the wilderness on vacation I've made a point to eat here at least once. It's a perfect place for a date night. The food is fantanstic! I had the dry-age ribeye steak while my girlfriend had the special with sea bass, ahi tuna, and scallops. It is on the expensive side but i believe it's worth it. I highly recommend this place.

Absolutely delightful experience all around. Fields seems to go out of their way to make sure the customer is treated amazingly. They actually overheard us discussing whether we wanted to ask for more dinner rolls and before we could ask delivered a fresh batch.

This is the kind of place that when you make a reservation, you can have confidence that your meal will be perfectly prepared, and everything executed with precision and style.

I will absolutely be returning to Fields whenever my travel plans allow.

The service was great, the atmosphere was great but the food was ok. My soup was fantastic, but not worth the $12. Scallops weren't very good, i wish I would have ordered a steak for what they charged. Overall, great quiet place but the food is totally not worth the money.

Very fancy place. Despite being so high-end, my date and I did not feel uncomfortable being there (we are young millenials whom know little to nothing about fine dining and we’re underdressed for the atmosphere). Kudos to the staff for making us feel welcome when we were clearly “out of our zone”.

Field's Restaurant has been the go-to place for one of the best dining experiences in the Dells area, for more than the 40 years I've been a Wisconsin resident. That's why I drove 40 miles from the town of Rome for my wife's birthday celebration. The interior ambiance of their location in Lake Delton is a visual treat, as well as a culinary delight. The service is top flight, with our dining needs anticipated by the staff before we could even ask, from drinks to dessert. Yet, we didn't feel overly served, as they gave us space enough to enjoy our conversations between bites, without interruption. What more could you ask for on a birthday outing? How about a complimentary sundae? Yes, they provided that, as well. So, before we left, we made sure to sign-up for their birthday club, assuring us that our next birthday celebration will include one free entree! We love this place!

We have been here many times and love it. That being said they absolutely have to figure out what to do with children. Being affiliated with the Wilderness guarantees there will be children (although this baffles me in a high end steakhouse as well) so they need to come up with a better plan. Possibly a section for young families?? This is the second time we were seated next to a screaming kid, and with a full house we could not be moved. Anniversary dinner- not ruined completely but damaged for sure. This is an expensive restaurant and atmosphere plays a big part. Screaming kids don’t match up with a special night out.

I feel the food is overpriced for the quality of the cooking. I ordered my steak medium and half of it was way overdone and to chart on the outside. The kids Burger was completely charred and blackened. Besides were good, the salads were good, but the high price steaks were not worth it.
