Small amount of good food, but big check. Way too expensive for what we got. Felt ripped off when$14 martini was served in a sherry glass and also when i had to ask to have my coffee warmed up, got billed an additional $3.50!
We enjoyed our dining experience. This was our first visit to the restaurant and we enjoyed the oysters and the trout. We also tried the gelato and the bread budding which were both delightful. This is a nice casual restaurant and we plan to eat here again.
Great time as always. Nathan was great. Great wine list!
Good food, good Thursday night music. Energetic and fun.
As always a great place for a sandwich, salad or something heavier. Food is always good
friendly staff. Beer is awesome there. They always have a good variety. Daniel at the bar
is awesome! Keep up the great work.
When we arrived, we asked for a quiet table and we're led to one. The music was vibrant and there were few diners, so we asked that it be toned down. The manager quickly obliged. Joe was a great server, attentive but not obtrusive. The food was amazing! The blackened trout tender and moist with grilled broccoli and hazelnuts. The salmon on a brioche bun with a fresh salad was beautiful and delicious. Wonderful experience with obviously fresh food and a very creative chef. We'll be back!
Have had breakfast at Fielding's but this was our first dinner. The food was as awesome as the breakfast.
After being sat by a wonderful hostess, Faith, we were unpleasantly surprised to have ordered a couple of drinks with our meal from the bar that did not arrive until after the meals were finished. The manager who ended up serving the drinks made no effort to apologize for the time on the drinks even after we commented on the amount of time that it took for them to arrive. The waitress did not serve us our food or check on us until our meals were about finished. Although, the waiter who did check on us, how our food tasted and if we needed anything more, was very kind and made much effort to attend to our needs. Other than this, we have been here multiple times and have loved the food and the service.
The food and service here is always great, served hot. They have a surprisingly good wine list that has great producers at every price level. It is my favorite close by restaurant.
Good Monday night Dinner. My wine of choice was a reasonable red. Out of stock so was recommended the wine of month by server, which was $57 a bottle and terrible I was close to sending back and selecting something else. Will not do that again. Felt like they were trying to offload a bad wine they had bought to much stock of.
Great menu choices and great value
Restaurant had great energy. Lots of delicious menu options, several not your customary selection. Will definitely be going back soon.
Great bar and very well mixed drinks. Nice neighborhood spot I imagine.
We had four separate dinners. One was basically
inedible and another was close to that. The pizza we ordered for a child was quite good.
It is entertaining to watch the open kitchen activity behind the wall of glass.
Second visit but I won't be returning again. Sorry.
Food was excellent, drinks were super tasty, but our server Justin acted like he had better things to do. Very innatentive to us. I will be back, but will ask for a different server.
Great restaurant/bar but the music was a little too loud for conversation. Surprisingly, it was more quiet in the bar, although the bartender said that usually isn't the case. The food was amazing; price point is about $150-200 per couple, drinks included. Live music on Thursday evenings and for Sunday brunch, and occasionally Wednesday evenings. There is also some outside couch dining which, in the right weather, would be fantastic. Overall, a great little place. Just be prepared to sit in the bar rather than the restaurant if it's noisy.
This is our new favorite upscale neighborhood spot. The service and food are great.
The food was phenomenal! Shared the beet salad as an appetizer with my husband and there was ample portion as a starter. For the main course we had the Thai vegetables and added smoked chicken. Amazing food! Large mushrooms and roasted carrots were lovely. Finished with sticky toffee pudding and pistachio ice cream. So delicious. Can't wait to go back and dine again. P.s. House cab was superb as well.
Great salads and entrees.
Had reservation for 8:30 pm on Valentines Day. Arrived on time. We were seated at booth in bar. Did not see waiter for 15 minutes. Fixed menu for Valentines had 3options. Only non seafood was a 30 oz steak for two. Fixed price for the meal was $79, then plus $15 per person for the steak. Way overpriced !! Was a fat laden prime rib. Bottom line, for me, wife, and daughter the bill was $279.00. Did include a $39 bottle of wine. One hour wait for steak (after ordering). Fieldings need to stick with what they do best. Casual dining. Don't try to compete with upscale establishments. We could have had twice the meal and atmosphere with good service at Perry's. we will go back, just not for special occasions when they try to be what they cannot.
Great food, special menu. Good service.
I thought it was expensive. The food was good, but in this price range, there are better choices in the area.
Way overpriced for what you got. Off the special occasion list in the future.
We made our reservation and upon being seated, were told by the hostess that we could "order drinks but not food because the kitchen is backed up and we'll let you know when the kitchen says it is OK to order". Our server came out and repeated the same thing...then came back and said there is no problem and we could order at any time. He also said the manager would come out and talk to us...he never did. The drinks were slow coming out and it took a long time to place our food order. The food was very good!!
This was our 2nd trip to Fielding’s at this location in Creekside. It is a very busy spot good for people watching. Something to remember is that they change their menus seasonally if not more often but if you enjoyed something on a previous menu by all means bring it up and they will try and see if they can accommodate the request. We had a party of 3 and were there to celebrate our daughter’s recent engagement. The place was very busy and we got some drinks at the bar and sat outside to await our reservation as we were running about 20 min ahead of schedule. Two glasses of white wine and soda water with lime was $28.00 -I thought was bit much as they were not particularly generous. Started with a House Salami and Cheese Platter , it was very pleasant to look at but only contained 2 small portions of cheese , the platter was more condiments that actual meat and cheese. It was ok but I could not highly recommend it based on the actual meats and cheeses. Dinner selection for my one of us was the “Sustainable Trout ” this was perfectly prepared and beautifully displayed , another entrée ordered was the Diver Scallops, again this were prepared well and very tasty on a polenta bed with some shredded leaks . The last entrée was the Lobster Mac and cheese this was a super disappointment as it was extremely dry and gave the appearance having sat in the warmer for an hour. Now I will tell you that our server did after a lengthy explanation agree to speak to the manager and have this removed from the bill. However it was only at the bill time did we even have the opportunity to voice our displeasure with the entrée since the server was too busy to stop prior to the presentation of the bill? This is a great place for Happy Hour, sandwiches, salads but the entrees are too stuffy and pricey for the setting.
We go often but tonight the service and food was off.
My husband and I enjoyed a lovely evening with amazing fresh menu items. We loved the bourbon flight, pulpo, gelato, cappuccinos the trout and steak. We cannot wait to visit again!
We've been several times and it has become our favorite restaurant in the Woodlands!
The brunch was phenomenal!!
Fieldings never disappoints. The staff is impeccable, the food is just the right portion, the drinks are superb.
The food was very good but overall experience for Thursday evening dinner was just okay. Food is overpriced for "locally sourced". Cook and Server need to be trained regarding rare vs medium rare steak doneness. I ordered a medium rare filet. Waiter brought my steak and asked me to cut into it to see if it was cooked as I had ordered. I cut into the middle of the thick filet and it was rare, at least 75% of middle was still very red. Server observed the steak and I mentioned to him that it was rare. My dining partner also agreed that my filet was rare. However, the server stated that my filet was medium rare according to how steaks are cooked at Fielding's. So Fielding's has their own cooking standard per steak doneness??! Not happy with server attitude and arrogance. And trying to continue conversation with dinner partner in dining area whilst music started to blare from the other side in bar area during our dinner was nearly impossible without almost shouting to converse...
We really enjoy Fielding's Local Kitchen. It is in a great location for a week night dinner and the menu does have unique dishes. When the weather is right eating on their patio is really nice. That being said their menu is limited and depending on what night of the week it is and what waiter you get the chef may or may not substitute items to make a dish to please a picky eater. The few times we asked they have been accommodating and then other times it was as if the chef was offended by the request and we were told no. The small dining area inside can get loud and a nice bar area on the other side seems to stay busy. Portions are very small so don't order to share. Great wine list with very fair prices! That alone makes them top of the list for not participating in the common price gouging on the wine as other area restaurants do.
Overall, we enjoy eating brunch here on Sundays. Live jazz music and great food makes it a great place to relax and enjoy your Sunday.
We were very disappointed with the food. It used to be excellent, we have commended them in the past for being consistent with quality of their dishes. However this is the second time food has been bad. Their pulpo is not near what it used to be. Their patatas bravas were made with old,dry potatoes, their fig and gorgonzola pizza was unedible it was so salty by the excess of cheese. We did give them a second chance and the benefit of the doubt unfortunately no more going to Fieldings Kitchen. Sadly.
Excellent food. Very busy and loud on a Saturday night.
Food and service was excellent. Original dishes from local fare. I had the blackened bass special with an egg yolk cream sauce and lightly fried asparagus and it was excellent. Cocktails were also good but a bit pricey as was the food. Ambiance was perfect for a casual get together with friends, end of week decompress meal with your significant other, or a date. Both in and outdoor seating was stylish and comfortable. Definitely will go again.
Very good meat, attentive and friendly staff. The steaks were not overflavored , and cooked perfectly. Ambiance was casual and bright. A few kids.
Fielding's has become one of our standard go to local restaurants. The menu is varied so there is something for everyone and they are moderately priced. The restaurant has a new modern/high end look to it and the food is worth the price. They also have a good ribeye if you are in the steak mood and the steak prices are in the acceptable to cheap range.
The thing we like the most about Fielding's is wine selection and the wine prices. They have great wines like Chappellet, Quintessa, Continuum, Far Niete and Opus 1 and their pricing is $10 - $30 over retail instead of 2x - 3x like most restaurants.
Awesome every time. Love visiting. Love the food and the cocktails
