The food and service were wonderful. Having been in the hospitality industry for years I have two recommendations. 1. Staff chit chatting needs to be discontinued. Where my husband and I were eating we were intruded with idle chit chat with an apparent friend. We do not need to know about child care issues.
2. The hostess was wearing cute up jeans. NOT presentable on in a fine dining facility

This was one of the most amazing dining experiences I’ve had in a long long time. As an Italian who has a mother from Northern Italy I can say this food is very authentic. The gnocchi melted in my mouth and the veal was perfect. The waiter was amazing making suggestions but never pushy. I could write pages about how amazing the food was.

The service was top notch - well informed and helpful wait staff. All drink glasses stayed full, bread was replenished.
The food - WOW! Our party of 7 ordered seven different dishes and each was delicious. The pesto served with the complimentary bread was excellent.
We will go back!

Our table was ready when we arrived. The service was excellent. The pasta dishes were very good. They had a number of specials. The veal scallapini was a little tough, but the other dishes were excellent.

Spontaneous date night for us turned into a new favorite. Attentive service and good food at a great value.

We went to Fiamma for my wife’s birthday dinner since it is her favorite. As usual the food was very tasty (though a bit expensive), and the service was great. I had mushroom risotto and prawns, she had the sea bass, we were both very happy. Great place for an occasion but sadly I can’t afford to go very often.

Great food, good service. Specials are a bit expensive, but are fresh and well-executed. Risotto was delicious, creamy, with a nice bite, even if it was a bit heavy on salt. The Chilean sea bass was cooked perfectly and paired well with tender (but crisp) asparagus and spaghetti squash. This is a refreshing take on Italian in a world where “Italian” is usually more “Italian-American” in execution. This is not a spaghetti and meatball joint, focusing in on cheese-smothered Americanized dishes. Most dishes here stay true to their roots and the focus is on freshness and authentic flavors.

Our Anniversay. I received a large tiramisu with a candle in it. It was beautifully presented on a pedestal cake dish.

The 'blue' LED lights have to go. Really, I love Fiamma and have enjoyed coming here for well over a decade but I was sorely disappointed when I noticed that most of the recessed spot lights on the celling have been recently replaced by 'daylight' type LEDs as opposed to the softer warm-white type bulb (clearly somebody when to lowes and bought a bulk of cheap daylight type bulbs without paying attention to the kelvin scale specification) . I know this may be a silly complain to some but in retail and dining lighting makes a big difference and nobody wants to dine at a table that looks like it is being illuminated by a garage light. It is annoying, distracting, and detracts from the look and feel of the place and the food looks strange. For this reason, 1 star for environment.

We waited 20 minutes before waiter came to table to take drink order and bring menus. After ordering it took another 18 minutes before we got our salads (only after asking about them). The salads came and the waiter brought a complimentary appetizer because of wait. The entrees arrived and wow, both our entrees were incredibly good. So in the end the service was very slow and inattentive but the food was so good.

The food was amazing! Wine was a little on the pricey side but great! Only thing I did not like was the lack of organization. We didn’t get a menu until about 10 mins in because they didn’t have enough for everyone and we didn’t get drinks until we ask for them. I will give it other shot just not during a busy Saturday night!

The food was absolutely amazing and so authentic and so was the service. We were able to sit down right away even though reservations are recommended and our waiter was extremely knowledgeable about the food and wine selections. Definitely making this restaurant one of my favorites.

Food was great but the service needs to be improved. Waiter we over whelming and loud. We got the wrong check, but it didn't ryun the evening.

I was so excited to visit this restaurant as I had been several years ago and it was great. This time, we had reservations for my husband’s 40th birthday. Unfortunately it was a total disaster. I guess things have changed! Our first clue should have been that the restaurant was empty of patrons with the exception of one elderly couple on a weekend at 6pm. Our next clue should have been that the whole place smelled very strongly of dirty mop. But we didn’t really understand that we had made a mistake until we had been sitting for 15 minutes in an empty restaurant with no one to even bring us water as the staff conversed loudly in the kitchen. One waiter was actually sitting outside on the phone. Finally, we just had to leave. Can’t comment on the food as we never got the chance to sample any. On the plus side, we ended up driving about 15 minutes down the road to Ilios Noche and had a fantastic meal with fantastic service. Save yourself the trouble and don’t visit Fiamma anytime soon.

Outstanding service and the restaurant was very busy. So many specials it was hard to choose. Second visit and we look forward to another one.

I cannot say enough about how great this place was. The food. The service. All marvelous. Sea Bass. Stuffed Pork chop. Gnocchi. Bolognase. Carpacio. All wonderful. I will go back when I return to Charlotte.

The food was good, but not amazing. We got the Chilean bass special which ended being $37.99, extremely overpriced for the amount of fish served. Will probably not return because of that reason. Overpriced.

Decor desperately needs updating. Food was solid Italian for CLT at good prices. Very nice wine list at reasonable prices. Server was good, but spent too much time giving me needless explanation. For example, I know what Chilean sea bass is, I don’t need a 5 minute explanation of the fish-just tell me how it’s prepared. Also, table setting plates and silverware were fine, but wine glasses were thick, huge and cheap. If you’re going out with the guys and going to spend the night it’s a great restaurant.

This is my favorite restaurant in Charlotte. The homemade pasta is fabulous The service is great. It is in a shopping center which is misleading. Once you enter you feel at home. Reservations are a must.

This is our favorite Italian restaurant in Charlotte and has been for many years.

Dont mind that it is in a strip mall. This place is legit. I am way to lazy to leave reviews online but felt inclined for how awesome this wood was. I was actually surprised at how cheap it was despite the service and how great the food is.

We were excited to go, but disappointed afterwards. We have eaten here several times, without any issues. This time, the service was not very good, and the food gave us all stomach issues. This was however the first time we visited for lunch. We were very disappointed to of had this experience.
