Fiamma Italian Restaurant has been serving up award winning Northern Italian style food for several years now in Dilworth. One review described the food as beautiful and uncommon. Here is what you can expect to find at Fiamma... homemade pastas, rustic meat dishes, fresh unique salads, fresh fish, made from scratch desserts, great Italian wine selection, friendly service, and fair prices. This is a true taste of Italy.
Authentic Italian food. One of the best in CLT
Daily specials were outstanding! The branzino is a must!
My Favorite Italian food place in Charlotte. The pasta is homemade. The service is outstanding. It is usually crowd ed. Tables are close together but the food is worth it.
Food was excellent. Would be five stars but service was disjointed. Waiter forgot items ordered and servers weren't sure to which table food went.
Wonderful atmosphere. We waited for the table "by the window" - worth the wait. Service was fantastic, Ricardo took great care of us. Food was fantastic. Highly recommend.
Service was good but food was bland
Very loud. Entrees brought out 10 minutes apart. Not a pleasant experience.
Food was excellent, but we would have an appetizer and a salad to split and both items arrived at the same time, crowding our table and not giving us as much time as we should have had to go with each item. Overall, a minor glitch in an excellent evening
Very disappointing. First visit in a few years but for sure the last. Calamari was mediocre, one order of pasta bolognese was good, the seafood dish was to be red snapper but I would have identified it as talapia. Too many good Italian restaurants here to bother with this one.
Excited to have been dining at an Italian Restaurant prior to seeing Andrea Bocelli’s performance, however was given “Valentine” limited menu the Sunday following Valentines. As informed our bread was in oven, all other tables dining around us with same waiter were informed of “tonight’s specials”. We were not. Our bread was served cold and stale. One entree served at table was nothing like what was described at time of ordering. Needless to say, our first and last dining experience for this party.
We went on V-day Saturday so were expecting it to be a bit crowded. We were sat pretty close to the front door so always seemed to be a bit congested and could hear people complaining about how little room there was to stand and wait while the hostess was there for very short times. We arrived about 15 mins early for our reservation and checked in and went to the bar. Had a drink there and then were offered our choice of 2 tables. The other option was literally surrounded by people waiting for the hostess so we chose the less crowded one. Pretty small table for the size of the plates they offer so it was constantly in need of clearing. We ordered the calamari appetizer and it was delicious. The batter was very light and the calamari/shrimp/zucchini were all fresh. The main meals were also good. I went with the Australian Sea bass and the wife went with the veal cutlet meal. She got the tiramisu for dessert as well. The food was all very good, but the service was thin. We never got our sorbet palette cleanser after our appetizer, and the main meal came when we still had plenty of the appetizer left. We decided that we think the food was good enough to come back and give it a second try on a non-holiday or special event night, but might not as well.
Service and ambiance was great. Food was not. I’m giving them the benefit of doubt because it was a very busy night. Will try it again. I feel like this could be a diamond in the rough.
Outstanding food and service. Visiting from out of town and happened to stumble upon this gem.
Great date night spot!
Really crowded for Valentine’s Day so service was very slow. Food was excellent as usual.
Whether a holiday occasion or a random evening out, Fiamma never fails to please!
The service and the meal were both outstanding this evening. I look forward to returning again soon.
The food and service were great. Unfortunately, due to it being Valentine's Day, the restaurant chose to add several very small tables to their floorspace. When I say small tables, I mean no more than 24 inches square! That made it very awkward for patrons and the wait staff to maneuver. We may return to Fiamma, but clearly not on any sort of holiday!
I’ve gone to Fiamma several times over the last 10 years. This time tables had incomplete place settings, several tables took silverware or salt/pepper from adjacent tables. The wine list seemed to be reduced, with no Malbecs. The pasta was fresh, but our waitress forgot we ordered dessert, and after waiting 20 minutes for it, we asked another waitress to figure out what happened. I used to recommend Fiamma, I cannot any more after this experience.
They were under staffed causing service to be slow, guest were leaving because it was 30 minutes before we ever got water.
Great food and attentive staff. Highly recommended The gnocchi was devine
We had to wait 35 minutes to be seated for a 7:30 reservation and then waited over an hour for our food—tables all around us (seated after us) were being served before we were.
The food, as always, was great and they gave us a cheap
Bottle of wine due to the wait—but I won’t go back. They were totally overwhelmed by the crowd and blamed Open Table.
always delicious, great place to dine for any occasion .
Most everything about the experience was good. The entree took a while to come out, but the waitress was very apologetic and we didn’t mind at all. However, at the very end, not more than 5 minutes after we had signed our check, we were asked to leave to make room for other guests! We were still trying to finish our wine! Never in my life have I been rushed out of a table before. For this reason I doubt we will ever go back there and we’ve shared this with our friends and family, so unfortunately neither will they.
Fiamma never disappoints and is still one of the best Italian restaurants in the Charlotte area.
Overall an okay dining experience but nothing special.
Wow! Can’t believe how great our dinner was last Wednesday night. We were on our way to a show at Knights theater which started at 7:30. Told our waiter and he had 6 drinks and 6 beautiful and delicious meals out to us in no time. We were all pleased and he was wonderful and we’ll be back again soon when we can savor the meal and order desserts! Pleasant atmosphere, not crowded, delicious bread and pesto, great experience all around.
Everything was great especially the server we had. I think his name was Ricardo.. we enjoyed his fun spirit personality! The food was awesome, and we will definitely come back :)
Fantastic! We went for restaurant week. It was our first time there. I worried the food and service may suffer bc it was restaurant week. No worries! The food and service were excellent. This is our new favorite Italian restaurant in Charlotte.
Service was good. They seemed a little understaffed for a busy night though. Food was just ok, not great like I was expecting.
Excellent food! Felt like an authentic Italian restaurant. Service was great.
Love this place! Exceptional food and service ! Love the atmosphere!
Highly recommend this restaurant. Have been many times before, but never during
Restaurant week, and it was just as good as always. Huge selection for Queens Fest menu.
Many choices in every food group. And great service as always!
Excellent food, the best service. We come here even when it’s not restaurant week! Great family run restaurant.
We’d always wanted to try this restaurant and took advantage of the Queen’s Feast deal. They had so many great course options. The portions were generous and the quality amazing. Will definitely be back.
The food was absolutely delicious. Everything is homemade and you can tell the quality and the care that goes into preparing the food.
Perfect! Nothing else to say here.. go, you won’t be disappointed
The food and service was top notch. The Barramundi was seasoned well and has become my favorite sea bass. Can't wait to go back.
Great food and great service. We always enjoy it. I recommend Fiamma to everyone we know.
don't get the cannoli- very soft even though they said that it was freshly filled..
