This place is extremely underrated! We went for date night and we're very impressed with the food. They had 5 different specials, each of which were mouthwatering. I ordered the toasted veal shank and my wife got the homemade saffron pasta with crab and a light tomato sauce. Both were excellent! My veal came with a side of the creamiest, most delicious gnocchi I've ever had. Absolutely A+. For some reason nobody ever talks about this place, but it's the real deal - homemade pasta, authentic recipes, and friendly service.
Fiamma was absolutely tremendous! The food was well made and the service was aweosome. We were so happy with the total meal and already made our next reservation!
Our server Fabrizio was EXCELLENT. He had total command of the menu specials and provided a great wine recommendation.
The best chef in the city. Amazing food. Great staff 👍
Food is exceptional but service was disjointed. We had many people checking on us but I didn’t receive two of my requested side dishes with my entree. Otherwise things were excellent.
Absolutely love this neighborhood gem. Food is spectacular, pacing the meal was perfect. Excellent wine list.
If we have friends in Charlotte for only 1 night, Fiamma is the place we take them. No cookie cutter Italian wannabe chain, Fiamma is authentic.
The food was amazing, and the service was impeccable! Would definitely go there again.
We went for Charlotte restaurant week to celebrate a job promotion. We were served by Monica and she was outstanding. Very knowledgeable with the menu and gave us a great experience!
We asked Monica for her recommendations and took her advice. Every dish we ordered was delicious!
We definitely recommend the location for their great menu and their awesome service!
This was my first time visiting but it will definitely not be the last! The atmosphere was great! The food was out of this world and the service was top notch! I have never been in a resturant where ALL of the staff are on point from the time you enter until the time you leave, my hats off to management!
It had been some time since we ate at Fiamma's. Typical to our past experiences, this was a real pleasure to go to for a birthday event and the food, service, and attentiveness met all of our best expectations. We definitely will be returning soon.
We went on june 26 during rest week. Menu selection was great. At first host wanted to seat us by the kitchen which she said was s good seat. Then Ricardo said menu was $30 and he also told next table $30. Bill came was $35. He said he was sorry but it was $35. Kind of turned us off. Music kept repeating same song. Food very good though.
My girlfriend and I went during restaurant week so my judgement of the service may be a little bit harsh. Our server came around a grand total of six times, to take the drink order, bring the drinks and take the food order, once for each of the three courses and once for the check. The time between courses was ridiculous especially since the lamb shank had supposedly been cooking for six hours beforehand. We arrived at 7:30 and left at 9:30. Going to skip over the first course because I should have looked up pictures to see what is typical, that probably would have taken some of the surprise out of it. The second course was not up to par for either dish that was ordered. The Lamb Shank Osso Buco tasted like store bought beef stew, was incredibly salty, and for how long it had supposedly cooked for should have been more tender. The Salmone tasted like it had been dropped into a tub of salt, sprayed with salt water, cooked in salt, battered with salt and then salted again. It also came with a quarter of a potato sliced into 3 pieces, 2 pieces of asparagus, and spinach. The dessert was by far the best thing we had, and brought the food rating overall back up to the 3 that I gave. Probably won't go back, but it was a learning experience.
Great food and service
Our servers were very attentive and kept the wonderful pesto coming. Yummmm!
We shared our dishes and had a great time.
Fantastic food, great place to eat. I'm a regular at Fiamma but the restaurant week was exquisite.
Fabrizio has a persona touch and doing a great job.
Will definitely return, and highly recommend
This was our first visit to Fiamma and it will not be our last. The food was excellent, the service was top notch and we we very pleased with everything.
My fiance and I visited Fiamma this past Sunday as a part of Charlotte' s restaurant week. This is our 3rd time dining at this restaurant. Charlotte is know for many great places to eat. However, Fiamma is my ABSOLUTE favorite. I have never been disappointed. Every bite was followed by pure bliss. They have a phenomenal restaurant week menu that is, HANDS down, the best out of all the other participants! I would highly recommend Fiamma if you are looking for a quaint authentic Italian restaurant and meal. I cant wait to eat there again.
Great authentic Italian food! Our portions were a good size and the flavors were very fresh. Even the bread with basil oil was delicious! The restaurant was very crowded with diners tightly packed in though, which made it a little too warm for my liking. Also I think our waiter was drunk, but our service wasn't impacted so it didn't bother us too much. I'd definitely go back.
Outstanding service and quality of food was spot on. huge portions.
Ten of us went for restaurant week. The menu choices were outstanding.
Went for restaurant week. Everything was wonderful. Lots of choices. Great service. Large portions and fantastic food!!
Great service and food as always
Probably the fourth time we dined here during Charlotte restaurant week, and as always, a wonderful experience. The service is exceptional and the meal, amazing. Love Fiamma!
Surprisingly good food. Food was a little slow coming out, but it was all tasty. The service staff were very good.
Service was great and recommendations were good.
What a diamond in the rough! Truly excellent food and service. We will definitively be back!
Some of the best Italian food and service I've ever had
Service was a little slow to get started. Food was authentic italian with many house made pastas. Chilean seabass was excellent!
We always look forward to return visit to Fiamma’s when we’re in Charlotte.
Food a little less well prepared than in prior visits: pasta overcooked, “spicy” sauce was bland, but snapper dish was excellent, and salads were great.
Great night at Fiamma's.
Party of 4. We got there early - and the hostess and staff accommodated us nicely.
The food was - as usual - fantastic. Thanks for a really nice night out!
One of the best restaurants in the city. Amazing food, service, excellent wine list. Don't miss a meal if your in the neighborhood.
This is one of our favorite places to go on date night. The food is always perfect and so is the service. tonight we both had the Sea Bass with spaghetti squash, asparagus, and Fried Artichoke Hearts. It was so good.
I had heard so many good things about Fiamma but overall I felt disappointed by the food and overwhelmed by the service. I appreciate attentive staff but we were overrun - constant follow ups to see if we were done, or how our food was, by multiple people. It became intrusive and prohibited us from enjoying our meal and special get together. In terms of the food - the burrata appetizer was delicious but where was the burrata, it only came with two slices of cheese and that felt stingy compared to the amount of meat and eggplant. I had the parpadelle bolognese and it was very veal forward, as was most of the menu - I do not eat seafood or veal, so this was challenging for me. My friends seemed to enjoy their meals but one did not eat much or take it to go.
Met up with a friend for dinner Monday night. We both order the shrimp & scallop risotto. It was very salty that we couldn’t even eat it. Definitely wasn’t worth $34!
The pasta dishes we had were incredibly salty. The meal went unfinished and we certainly did not take it home! Several glasses of water were required. Refills were not given. Each time I had to ask.
Not likely to dine here again.
Service was extremely slow-and the food not up to par with other visits in the past. It took more than an hour to get entrees (had a small salad prior). Truffle potatoes had way too much truffle salt -but given how long it took to get food we didn’t send it back
Evidently the menu prices don’t accurately reflect the amount that they charge you on the bill. We were overcharged $.50 per drink higher on two glasses of house wine. It also seems that have gone the way of most other higher priced restaurants in Charlotte, by overcharging for alcohol. I was able to buy them a whole bottle of Crown Royal by simply ordering two drinks.
Additionally, there were many empty tables on a Friday night. It seems that we’re not the only ones that have issue. Food quality just didn’t seem to be as high as we have experienced in the past. We may go back, but now it won’t be our first choice for a nice dinner
Everything was superb! We had fritto misto and pappardella Boulougnese , both delightful along with the caputo muffins and bread sticks. We arrived about 8:15 and it was almost empty. Wake up Charlotte. You are missing out on the Real Thing!! My sister who lived in Rome and Florence for 25 years as a diplomat says this is the most authentic Italian Restaurant in Charlotte....and it's right next to Dilworth and Myers Park!
