Great food as always and staff was friendly with great recommendations
As always Fiamma was amazing!
Service was poor. My wife loves her food but my paparadelle was over cooked.
Went on Valentine’s Day and it was complete chaos.
Very cramped - tables are too small and people are too close for personal conversation yet alone a romantic evening.
Excellent Valentines Dinner; need to get some better lemoncello.
This outstanding Italian restaurant never disappoints. Very well prepared food with an excellent variety. Service is attentive without being smothering. Excellent bar menu, as well.
In my opinion fiamma is the best food in charlotte .
Food was good. Got the same meal I had on New Years Eve and it was about 1/2 as much food. Salad and entree. It was good, though.
The service, however, was poor. Our waiter was knowledgeable, but apparently was serving the entire restaurant. We waited to have our drink order taken for 15 to 20 minutes. Ordered our meal and waited an inordinate amount of time for it to come as well. Waiter apologized and blamed a large party in the back for the delay.
I felt bad because this was a special meal with my Mother and her friends and she asked me for a recommendation of somewhere nice. Unfortunately, her meal arrived last and was cold. I probably won’t return to Fiamma and I’m sure she will not.
Food was good, as always, but they don't have a clue how to sell, track, or redeem the gift cards they issue.
The food was amazing! It was really crowded, but the staff did an amazing job!
Everything was going well until we got our appetizers. The staff tried twice to take them away before we were finished. Then when we got our main courses 2 out of the three dishes were watered down. Again they tried to take the only dish that was good away from my husband before he was finished. Very disappointed, not a good experience.
We went to Fiamma for Charlotte's Queen's Feast and had a great time. The food was amazing. The staff was attentive and very knowledgeable. The atmosphere was nice and it made for a great date night. It was quiet enough that we could have a conversation but not so much that it was uncomfortable. I appreciated that their menu for Queen's Feast was quite extensive as many others that participate have very limited menus to choose from. I've now been to Fiamma a handful of times and I've always been very pleased with my experience. I look forward to my next opportunity to go.
Excellent food and service, as always! Can’t beat the restaurant week value!
Went during restaurant week, my Lamb Chops came out cold, when they came back after being returned, they were overcooked. Also my wife finished her main course. May try another time.
We enjoyed our dinner! The food was delicious. The service was impeccable! Definitely worthy of 5 stars!
AMAZING as usual. One of my favorites in the area.
Worth every penny. Great food and atmosphere in an unassuming location!
Expect high standards from this restaurant: service from staff was superior, presentation of food was fabulous. The menu was innovative and delicious. They actually served sorbet after the appetizers to cleanse the palate before serving the main course. Didn't know any restaurants put such detail into their menu anymore! Such attention to detail was very much appreciated. Congratulations Fiamma! We had a very pleasant evening.
Do not recommend. Food was mediocre at best. Service was alright , but did not appreciate waiter arguing me about scallop being raw. When the scallops came back it was obvious they took what I had eaten and tossed in the microwave . Also the rubbery texture was another indication. My husbands short ribs were beyond dry and over cooked . They served %80 for the mussels with closed shells . The tiramisu had so much cocoa dust on it my husband started coughing with the 1st bite. Last but not least I did not realize cheesecake could be dry. Huge disappointment .
We typically love Fiamma’s and were excited to take friends who are new to the area to experience this Charlotte classic during Restaurant Week. We were very disappointed. Both the appetizers and the entrees were mediocre at best. Lamp chops were tough and grisly and sides were cold. The desserts were good and the wine recommendation was excellent. One of our guests ordered a traditional veal pasta dish and was pleased with his choice. We will go back but not during Restaurant Week and we will stick to the classic pasta dishes.
Food and service were outstanding from start to finish- Menu choices were unbelievable which made it hard to choose. We chose Lamb Shank and Veal - If we hadn't had so much bread and pesto to start. we could have cleaned our plates! Five stars to the chef and his staff
Went for restaurant week, so maybe the overall experience was a little more frenetic than normal, but we enjoyed it. The menu looked fantastic, the food was good but not exceptional. We'll try it again and hopefully the food will be better, because we really are looking for a god Italian restaurant in Charlotte...
It took us awhile to get seated and menus, but the waiter was super apologetic and offered a discount on our wine without even being prompted. Food was absolutely delicious! Although I’d recommend something other than the cheesecake for dessert.
Food was well prepared, however not what I would consider authentic Italian. Growing up in an Italian family and dining in both New York City and Italy, this was okay for Charlotte. Waiter assured us almost everything was homemade/scratch. Desserts definitely were not!
Although the service was very good, we were disappointed with our entrees. Specifically, the sauces. The cheesecake, in particular, tasted very old and dry. Just not what we expected based on recommendations from friends.
Amazing meal! Food was delicious and fresh. You could tell everything was made in house. Mark was awesome!
atmosphere was nice, they were full but it was not so loud that it bothered us. Food was delicious and portions were huge. We are definitely going back.
This was a great restaurant. Great portion sizes. I will defiantly recommend it and be back.
Disappointed ..... that says it all.
Nothing else has to be said.
I haven't been to Fiamma in a few years, but it did not disappoint! We went for my Fiances birthday (which just so happened to be restaurant week). They had SO many delicious options to choose from.
We had a group of 6 & were seated by the front door. Everytime someone walked into the restaurant, we got blasted with cold air from outside. Don't sit by the entrance! Lol. Otherwise, everything was great!
Frim the moment we wete seated, wr received wonderul service, everyone knowledgeable and attentive...the bread and dipping pesto to start and the sherbet between appetizer and entree were a surprise...the food was very authentic and tasted like Italian food should...large portions, desserts were tasty...presentation of food beautiful...good value...will return and recommend
Though it was noisy we had a table upstairs which I would recommend if you want to converse with your date.Nice table to two. Restaurant week is always hectic so the service as a little slower than the norm but our server,Mark, was cheerful and we were happy to have him.We plan to return when it's not so hectic
It was a great night for myself and my daughter. My only issue was the spacing of the tables. Was quite tight to get out from our table.
Great neighborhood restaurant. The scallop appetizer is very good. The gnocchis are fantastic. Lamb shank is excellent. The black linguine with shrimp was ok. Tiramisu is excellent. Highly recommend this restaurant. BTW, the Tito martini with blue cheese olives was fantastic!
the outside of the restaurant was a dump and inside needed a upgrade
My girlfriends and I chose FIAMMA for our monthly girls night out. We checked the Charlotte Restaurant Week list and loved the menu. The restaurant is elegant and comfortable. The servers were professional, knowledgeable and friendly. The food was excellent and the portions were bigger than expected. I will come back.
Probably the best restaurant week menu in Charlotte. You get amazing options.
