Always the best service and food from this family owned restaurant in Dilworth.
Best Italian fare we’ve had since we moved here from New York area. The Frito Misto appetizer was delicious and so were our entrees. Our server did a great job detailing the numerous amount of specials and offered great wine selections. We look forward to dining here again.
Went for my wife’s Birthday. Food and service was outstanding!! Will definitely go back!!
Very slow service. Told them it was my wife’s bday. That was never recognized by the server. Not even a happy birthday. Overall, I expected a lot more.
Really good, authentic Italian. Very good service, too. Decor is a little tired, but has its own unique quality, which we appreciate.
Keep going back because they have always delivered a great meal and outstanding service.
Just good, fresh Italian food. Always a hit w/ friends and family.
Three people in our group ordered one of the specials that evening and it was very disappointing. One piece of the seafood was not edible. We should have complained and did not. We left very unfulfilled after looking forward to a very nice meal.
It might have been an off night... but sitting outside to enjoy the beautiful weather next to their dead plants at a lopsided table probably wasn’t the best start to the night. Our server was absolutely amazing, but the food was lack luster. Undercooked risotto, water sauces and generally bland flavors.
Looking for authentic Italian? Fiamma will not disappoint. We celebrated family birthdays recently here, always accommodating and service is excellent! Everyone at our table got something different but all was delicious.
The food at Fiamma is always excellent, but the gnocchi...the gnocchi...they're otherworldly.
Best Bolognese around very flavorful. Table bread needs work although
Dining at Fiamma is like a wonderful evening dinner in Italy - family oriented, unhurried time together enjoying delicious food and wine . We sat in the back in a quiet table that was perfect for a long evening of good conversation and celebration of enjoying life. A treasure in Charlotte.
Fabrizio did an excellent job with his service and attention to detail as we love Fiamma as our special place to dine true Italian and we were hosting 2 family members who are visiting us for the weekend. They loved it and raved about the whole experience. Truly a fire of love and fine dining for us
The floors were wet all through out our meal. We were there a couple of hours. It was slick throughout the entir restaurant.(that was a worry. )The water came up through floors . It was not from rain. Our waiter , while friendly , interrupted us a lot . He was disheveled.....and , may have been intoxicated.
For our first time, I was surprised. We went here on recommendation. The food was average
If you go as two the table was in a small hallway with servers and customers passing back and forth and plates and glasses hardly fit on the table.
Went for my son’s birthday. We were seated promptly and service was initially pretty good. As the evening commenced, we seemingly got forgotten as our server was preoccupied with newer tables. He seemed a little out of it as well. Either he was half in the bag or completely overwhelmed. Who knows. Food was excellent as usual and overall it was a great experience if not a little strange. Oh well. Will definitely return, but maybe a different server next time...
Very well prepared and presented. Got seated very quickly, but our waitress had a table of 12 sit just ahead of us, so it slowed our whole dinner. Not a bad experience, just bad timing.
Went during restaurant week. Food was very good. Atmosphere nice neighborhood feel.
Service was terrible. The maître’d took 10 minutes even show up at the front even to greet us after we arrived on time for our reservations. The staff were young, not very polite and abrupt. They clearly hit were not trained in the art Of customer service and making people feel like they wanted to be there. We couldn’t blame It on just one waitress since probably Four different people touched our table or came to our table during the two hours we were there. They really need to shake up there waitstaff.
Of the three restaurants we went to during queen fest, this was well below the rating of the other two.
Proscuitto e melon and the scallop appetizer were the hit of the table. Veal ossobuco was delicious, monkfish and branzino were very tasty. Chose a bottle of a super tuscan wine and it was yummy. Luigi was our server and did not disappoint our service was excellent. The desserts we tried cheesecake, tiramisu and creme tostada, everyone agreed that they were great and all had less sugar; allowing you to taste the ingredients. We had dinner on July 29, 2018-Queen's Feast.
Food was delicious
Fantastic service. We went during restaurant week. They offered a full menu! Variety of choices and every one in our group was thrilled(there were 7 of us). Other than the restaurant being a bit warm, it was perfect!
Usually one of our favorites, but last Saturday night the food lacked flavor and was nothing special, which given the price, we thought it should be
We were there to try a new place during restaurant week and the menu options were extensive compared to other participating establishments. Our waiter was very friendly and the food was great. The atmosphere is a little romantic but a bit noisy so hard to hold a conversation without feeling like you need to yell. We had a bit of a wait between dinner and dessert but not bad enough to keep us from going back, as we understood they may be a bit busier than normal.
Food was excellent!! Service was wonderful! I wish I lived closer so that I could go to Fiamma's more often!
My friend and I went during restaurant week and all of the food was great and came out very quickly. Really good portion sizes, and service was good. Everyone in there was kind and very friendly
Mixed emotions on this one. We've been before and loved it. This time around it was OK. Even with reservations it took us a long time to be seated - and it was 5:15, not necessarily prime time. The hostess was in no hurry and looked to have been given extra responsibilities (clearing extra plates & glasses) that others could have handled so she could seat guests sooner. It really should not have taken 15 min to be seated. It was restaurant week, and their menu had great offerings, however it did feel a bit pushed - like if you go out on Valentine's day. Very quick in, quick order, quick food, quick out. * The good part was the food! * The Burrata with salad was SO good, probably my favorite part of the meal. Our pastas were good and the tiramisu was good as well. I would NOT recommend the cheese cake though. It was so dry that it felt like a dried out sponge cake :(. No creaminess about it at all. You could also see that the sides were burnt. Because of past visits we're willing to give the restaurant another try. We are a bit disappointed with this last visit and hope to have a different experience next time.
My first visit to Fiamma's on Saturday evening was phenominal. From the moment we arrived, I noticed the wonderful ambiance and we were immediately escorted to our table without waiting. Our server and all who attended our table were most gracious and polite. We felt like family. The food was magnificent and all I can say is that the restaurant is the best kep secret in Charlotte. I certainly shared my joy and enthusiasm with my family and friends after our visit and will be back again. Thank you for making this visit a night to remember.
I’m never disappointed! Very extensive menu for restaurant week. They don’t skimp on portions either. Included in the meal was intermezzo and lemon cello. Service was impeccable!! Food was outstanding! Even at 830 all menu items were available. Can’t wait to go back!
Amazing authentic Italian. Highly recommend! Try the ossobuco
Great food, good service. Food is made fresh. Had the sea bass it was amazing.
One of the best Italian restaurant in Charlotte, perfect for date and special occasions. A+
Food was amazing!!! Staff had no problem customizing my order !
For feeding the masses during the busy Restaurant Week, these folks provided more course options than most restaurants provide on their regular menu. All the dishes were excellent and our table of 4 left impressed, full and wanting to return! Nice job Fiamma staff.
Our meal was excellent-seasoned perfectly! We had eaten out prior that week during restaurant and were totally disappointed in that restaurant! This was wonderful and we highly recommend it as food was delicious. Wait staff very attentive. Quality of food excellent!
First time at Fiamma and it
was a wonderful dining experience. The menu is very
extensive with offerings to
please everone and the portions are very generous and prepared to perfection. The wait staff is very knowledgeable and attentive
so all in all Fiamma was a good choice for restaurant week and I look forward to
WOW!!! Went here not realizing it was restaurant week, but glad it was. Extensive 3 course menu was being offered for a very fair price with no uplifts like some other places do. Excellent selection of appetizers, entrees and deserts. Everyone at our table was pleased with their meal. Only negative if I had to pick one is the drinks are a bit pricey, although they make the best mojito in town. Please was completely filled so the noise was a bit louder than on a normal night.
Went during Queen's feast week. Service was great. The food was delicious and plated beautifully. Will definitely return.
Lovely unassuming restaurant with a wide selection on its menu. Worth a visit.
We went for Charlotte Restaurant Week, so the restaurant was VERY BUSY. The food is excellent, but the staff was overwhelmed and couldn't keep up. At our table of 4 people the plates never came out even close to the same time for any of the courses. We'll go back another time when it is less busy.
