Black Friday night out and the Fiamma family delivered and were responsive to our needs as always.
Food was excellent. Service was a little slow but it might have been due to the fact it was Thanksgiving Eve. My whole family enjoyed their meal.
Fernando is the best chef in the city. Creative menue, delicious food and service.
The food was exceptional but the service was lacking. We were waiting most of our evening. And they tossed my take-home (but made up for it by providing a full serving of the side - that we had to wait 20 minutes for them to prepare).
I definitely recommend Fiamma Restaurant to friends and family but to everybody. Few places in America offer authentic Italian food like Fiamma. The texture, flavor, consistency and presentation of the various plates we tried were exceptionally good. The service was cordial, prompt and respectful.
Our Waiter knew his stuff, not only the Specials but his Wines too! He attended to our needs without being intrusive which allowed two old friends to catch up.
Service was terrible. They seemed to have changed the bolognese recipe and pasta was over cooked , very little meat in recipe.
Waiter was not up to par.
Seated by the door and every time door was opened and closed a wave of cold air came over us. Very uncomfortable.
Been there numerous times prior will hesitate to go back. Used to be best bolognese I had?
The food we had at Fiamma was wonderful. Our waiter was very busy so our second drinks were long in coming. I will say that the table in the very back of the restaurant where we were seated was very loud .
Great food and service!
We canceled the restaurant that we usually go to because we had come here two times previously.
Worst experience ever! And for my wife’s birthday which I told them again when we arrived. We are so regretful we ever came. Gabriela, worst server ever!!!!
As always from the first hello at the door to the last goodbye, this restaurant is amazing. i was celebrating my birthday and Mark was our server, he was excellent. he took the time to explain the menu and provided recommendations or as he called them, features. Thank you for helping me celebrate my birthday.
Fiamma was once a favorite but the last two visits the service has been terribly slow - three hours for two courses is unacceptable - in addition food quality has declined markedly
Always predictably excellent from start to finish.
Horrible meal, horrible service. I'm pretty sure our waiter was drunk. My husband listened to another waiter talk about his night of crown royal in bathroom, while we waited 2 hours for our meal - that we never got. We finally asked for the check and our waiter shocked that we never got our meal. We watched the kitchen stack meals on the top of the kitchen shelves without bringing them out.
They comped everything but it was just too late. My stomach hurts, our dinner celebrating my friends big event was ruined.
I think the most upsetting part of the night was that the whole staff just didn’t care. Our table was right by the bar exit and the kitchen door. Everyone who worked there - walked past us. No one noticed that our husbands had 2 drinks in 2 hours and we had no food all night. No one cared
Overall, this was a very good experience. We were the first of a few tables to arrive for the evening and the smell of the restaurant almost made us leave. It smelled like a freshly cleaned litter box and we made the decision to stay, since we have never been before and we assumed it would disappear as more food started to come out. Which was the case, we didn't notice the smell as much as our meal went on.
Our server was great and friendly along with the server assistant. We would absolutely go back; between the quality of food and cost, it is a great Italian restaurant in CLT.
Excellent service. Atmosphere was very authentic. Wine list is among the best I have seen for Italian wines.
Brought some friends to join us and they were extremely pleased.
I’ve been eating at Fiamma for several years and have never been disappointed. I just wish they had the Osso Bucco ravioli more often.
Great food and knowledgable staff
Wonderful birthday dinner!
A little too full of itself. Prententious and one of the what staff (or perhaps the owner?) wanted to be a jolly 'friend'.
The starter was outstanding, and we thought our request for a split had been missed as the portions were so large - but no it turns out this was a split. The best part of the meal.
The mains were completely messed up and we were first served with someone else's split ravioli and my dish was completely wrong. I queried that it didn't look like Pappardelle, but was assured that it was correct, even though I had ordered a bolognese sauce and this was a white sauce. I got up to check and the correct dish appeared. Pappardelle was a little overcooked - I suspect that it had been sitting a while - and the bolognese was ok, but more watery that I expect.
The wine and Prosecco was fine, a nice light Valpolicella. A little more down to earth and attention to detail and this place would be amazing. A little pricey for a neighborhood, but bearable if good.
Fiamma is our go to place for consistent food quality, service and value. The menu offers a large selection and a wide price range. We have been patrons since they opened.
Return visit to Fiamma and the food was excellent as always. The service not so much. We were told there were problems with both the kitchen and the staff. We were given free tiramisu as a gesture of apology. Hope management resolves these issues, expect they will.
The food was outstanding. Most delicious fish ever - the entire meal was perfect. Wait staff knowledgeable and helpful.
They were very accommodating with our seating request due to my hearing loss. The service was some of the best I’ve had anywhere in Charlotte. Everyone in the party ordered fish and loved it! I look forward to visiting again.
The service and food were both outstanding.
I'm a fan of an entire wait staff team taking care of diners and I'm certainly glad that it's done this way at Fiamma. Ricardo is a rockstar server!
The food absolutely speaks for itself. It was my first time dining here, but many more times await. You're cheating yourself from great food and service if you don't dine here.
This place is extremely underrated! We went for date night and we're very impressed with the food. They had 5 different specials, each of which were mouthwatering. I ordered the toasted veal shank and my wife got the homemade saffron pasta with crab and a light tomato sauce. Both were excellent! My veal came with a side of the creamiest, most delicious gnocchi I've ever had. Absolutely A+. For some reason nobody ever talks about this place, but it's the real deal - homemade pasta, authentic recipes, and friendly service.
Beautifully plated authentic Italian dishes for lunch. Great service and yummy dessert. Sarah Brightman music selection in the background made it a perfect dining experience. She is one of our favorites. Highly recommended!
Our server was the absolute worst server I’ve ever had. We waited literally for 15 minutes b/f he ever came to acknowledge us. He forgot about my wine order altogether and didn’t take our dinner order until we had been there for almost an hour. The restaurant wasn’t busy and we couldn’t figure out what was wrong with this server. Food was as good as ever, but the service experience left me not wanting to come back. So disappointing😕
Fiamma was absolutely tremendous! The food was well made and the service was aweosome. We were so happy with the total meal and already made our next reservation!
Our server Fabrizio was EXCELLENT. He had total command of the menu specials and provided a great wine recommendation.
The best chef in the city. Amazing food. Great staff 👍
Food is exceptional but service was disjointed. We had many people checking on us but I didn’t receive two of my requested side dishes with my entree. Otherwise things were excellent.
Absolutely love this neighborhood gem. Food is spectacular, pacing the meal was perfect. Excellent wine list.
If we have friends in Charlotte for only 1 night, Fiamma is the place we take them. No cookie cutter Italian wannabe chain, Fiamma is authentic.
The food was amazing, and the service was impeccable! Would definitely go there again.
We went for Charlotte restaurant week to celebrate a job promotion. We were served by Monica and she was outstanding. Very knowledgeable with the menu and gave us a great experience!
We asked Monica for her recommendations and took her advice. Every dish we ordered was delicious!
We definitely recommend the location for their great menu and their awesome service!
This was my first time visiting but it will definitely not be the last! The atmosphere was great! The food was out of this world and the service was top notch! I have never been in a resturant where ALL of the staff are on point from the time you enter until the time you leave, my hats off to management!
It had been some time since we ate at Fiamma's. Typical to our past experiences, this was a real pleasure to go to for a birthday event and the food, service, and attentiveness met all of our best expectations. We definitely will be returning soon.
We went on june 26 during rest week. Menu selection was great. At first host wanted to seat us by the kitchen which she said was s good seat. Then Ricardo said menu was $30 and he also told next table $30. Bill came was $35. He said he was sorry but it was $35. Kind of turned us off. Music kept repeating same song. Food very good though.
