FiAMMA Italian Kitchen - MGM Grand Ratings and Reviews
We are new to Fiamma, and were very happy with our choice to dine here. Our seating request was honored, service was impeccable, and there was a nice variety of your not-so-ordinary Italian dishes. My husband ordered chicken and polenta, which was a bit too spicy for his taste. I ordered the raviolini, and would definitely recommend it. We shared a triple chocolate bread pudding, and it was so good I almost regretted sharing it!
We enjoyed FiAMMA for dinner. The staff was welcoming and accommodating for my moms wheelchair. Our waiter was very good. We had the Gorgonzola and pear salad, spaghetti chimaera, risotto and fettuccini. We really enjoyed the peach Bellini dessert, the gelato and tiramisu. Everything was delicious. Highly recommended.
Food was delicious and the service was pretty good. We had the meatballs and they were amazing (but pricey at $20). The Raviolini is something I would definitely recommend. They charged my credit card twice, I mentioned it and the waiter said he corrected that. Awesome, but I check my credit card and it was never corrected - NOT awesome.
Poor service. Restaurant wasn't crowded at all and service was incredibly delayed the entire time. I have had way better and expected more from this fine establishment. The people next to us noticed slow service too and resorted to calling out for the server.
We dined at Fiamma the night we arrived in Las Vegas and chose it because we were staying at The Signature at MGM and didn't want to go too far because we would be tired due to the time difference. Fiamma was OK. It's Italian food you probably won't write home about. Although my short rib ravioli dish was pretty good. Service was, at most, average. No one had a personality
Not impressed, particularly for the $$$. Limited menu and nothing particularly unique. We ended up having a basic pasta dish. The homemade fettucine was good, but typical of good Italian restaurants. We expect premium dinner pricing in Vegas, but this was too much. We’ve dined at much better Italian restaurants in Vegas, with better menus and better food worth the money.
We had eight guys for a wonderful meal. The food was creative, authentic and delicious. The waters and sommelier were very helpful and friendly. Fun spot for people watching and very nice ambience. This was some of our second time so clearly it is very, very good or we would not have gone back.
Our server was knowledgeable, friendly and just overall outstanding! Food was "to die for"! I had the Raviolinis with Black Truffle Cream (aka pillows of love), my husband and son had the spaghetti dish with luscious meatballs. Our son's S.O. had the Risotto. It was all outstanding. The restaurant is in the MGM Grand. There is no outside seating but, even though the restaurant is in (more or less) a mall, the environment is seriously fine dining.
HORRIBLE ambiance. We did NOT want to sit at a table open to the Casino MALL!! (Extremely loud, plus silly drunken girls making a big scene for 15 minutes...sigh.) Frustrating because we made reservations 3 months ahead for my mother-in-law's 70th birthday since she desired classic American-Italian style food. We were seated at a table where it was literally open to the mall even though there were PLENTY of other large tables in a quieter location in the restaurant. When I mentioned it to hosting staff, they could have cared less. I hope that they are treated with the same lack of deference and consideration on their 70th birthdays, if they are lucky enough to celebrate that milestone. Maybe there's a reason there were so many open tables...
We have eaten here a few times in the past few years. We return because the food is always good. This time was no exception, but the service was abysmal. Once our waiter took our order, we did not see him again until we were basically finished. No checking in on us, no refilling our water, no pouring our wine. We had to wait a long time to get help. Asked for the manager and he was apologetic and did comp us for one of the dinners which we appreciate. We ordered Raviolini and would order it again.
For the price this was nothing special. I have had jut as good at Olive Garden. Slow service had Calamari and the Meatball appetizers, 20 bucks each and neither was as good as Pizza Rock. Great location but other than that ... pass. To many other restaurants in Vegas to choose from.
The food was amazing in this place and the ambience was great. Being in the same hotel we stayed in made a big plus. We really enjoyed ourselves. It's a little pricey but considering the atmosphere being in a hotel and great food with great presentation, it is definitely worth it to give it a shot.
Excellent food and service at Fiamma. The Cioppino is the best I've ever tasted; spicy broth as promised in the menu description and filled with a variety of seafood including a half lobster tail. My husband ordered salmon and raved about it. Our server, Dave, was very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable.
Serve was poor. I had to ask twice for water when we first sat down. I asked for no ice and my husband asked for a lemon. I got ice and he never got him lemon. Through out the meal we had to ask for more to drink, they did not automatically refill out water glasses. Even processing the bill was very slow. From the time he dropped off the bill until he came back to pick it up was 20 minutes. Food was good, not great. Expensive for what you got.
The Restaurant was beautiful...very elegant. We started our evening with some cocktails and appetizers. The Caprese Salad was to die for as well the the calamari!!! Our Entrees were: sea bass, steak and pasta. All were fabulous and would order again!!!
We will be back!
It took more than 20 minutes just to order our drinks. Main dishes were served while we were still eating our appetizers. The beef carpaccio was drowning in the sauce. Our main dishes were served luke warm at best. I had ordered the 3 course menu, but after waiting more than 30 minutes from when we had finished eating our main dishes I had to cancel the dessert course (on top of that our main dishes were never cleared). We asked the waiter to switch our bill to a la carte since it was taking so long for the dessert course and he said we would have to wait another 15-25 minutes so the manager could adjust the bill. The waiter visited our table two times, once to take our order and once to give us the check over the course of 2 hours. One of the worst dining experiences in Vegas.
We wnt two times during this trip, the first night the service was excellent and the food was delicious, but the second time we have to call the waiter for water and wine because he didnt come to serve often. And I have to return my plate because it came cold.
They make a new one but I have to wait for the new one to be make again.
If you want to go please do so during the weekends but on mondays the service isnt good.
