Fets Whisky Kitchen Ratings and Reviews
None of us even like whiskey but we loved this place and given the gigantic tomb of whiskey options and huge high wall library of whiskey, we wish we did. Excellent service, and fantastic menu. I had best jambalaya outside of NOLA. The ambience was rustic urban cozy and loved how it felt so different from most Vancouver venues. More what you’d find in NYC or Chicago.
What a cool neighbourhood gem! I found this place as a last minute lunch suggestion through Open Table while my husband and I were in Vancouver for work. Excellent lunch, fabulous service, and a jaw-dropping scotch list await anyone who darkens the doorway of Fets Whiskey Kitchen. Definitely worth a try. We'll be back.
Overall impressed by our first visit. We went prior to a show near commercial. My fiancé loves whiskey and was impressed with the selection available. Hard to find a good whiskey bar in Vancouver. Food was good. Fiancé loved his meal and I thought mine was good. Cornbread was a tasty appy. Service was spot on for attention.
Our waitress was great. She was really paying attention and always there when we needed here. We didn't feel rushed. That was the first time after 9months that we actually enjoyed eating out and it wasn't hard tipping. Normally you have to hurry and you get the bill as soon as you put your cutlery down. Not here. Only tiny thing, we weren't asked if we want any desert, but that was ok. Thanks a lot!
"Open table" app got my group 'no waiting' seating ahead of small line. The line in it self a good sign of things to come. Hostess and waitresses very attentive. Wiskey flights and wiskey selections are 'off the chain'. My usual mojito did NOT disappoint. Cheese mac, steak bites appetizers-mouth watering. Main course meals were very delicious. We like our meats cooked very well, Chef did not fail.. I will return!
We came in for brunch on what appeared to be a relatively quiet morning. The thing that overshadows the food and ambiance for me is that the service was slow and inattentive, the kind of service where you leave slightly ticked off because your empty dishes sat on the table for 20 minutes before finally flagging the waitress for the bill. This was our first visit to Fets and may not be our last but I hope it's a better experience next time.
Can't say anything about the restaurant as it was closed for renovations. I can not recommend making your reservation with Open Table. It is obviously a computerized service that is not connected to the restaurant. They even sent me warnings about not showing up or cancelling! They sent me a reminder of my reservation on the day. The weather was bad and I made a long journey to discover the restaurant was closed.
