Ferraro's Bar e Ristorante Maui Ratings and Reviews
Brought 2 nice bottles of wine to celebrate with some friends. Once we were seated I was told The Four Seasons does not offer corkage and all wines must be purchased off the menu. Crazy! I’d like to see them try this in Seattle! Have NO idea why they have this ridiculous policy on Maui. Other than this the night was great.
The hostess was not very accommodating when we were early directing us to the bar where there were no seats. We did find a table but when it was time to move to our dining table, we all carried our own drinks, quite a distance and down steps. Our waitress didn’t seem to care about whether we were visitors or local, barely identified the special occasion and just seemed to want us to hurry up and order so she could leave even though there was no one waiting. She did describe the daily offer well.
Our reservation was for 5:30 and Sunset at 6:00 so when our dinner was served a little after 6:00, you absolutely could not see your plate or identify what was on it. The menus have lights in them; a nice touch. My rack of lamb was wonderful, melted in my mouth.
Even though there were short-comings, it was mostly personnel and I would go back.
Service and ambiance was very nice. My biggest issue was the food, or lack there of. Appetizer we got burrata, which was good. Problem came at dinner. I got the pesto pasta w/ veggies which was ok. Not a ton of mixed veggies but was fine. Wife got the “eggplant” risotto and it was kind of offensive. She got her plate and there were two half dollar sized slices of eggplant and one tiny artichoke heart. Risotto was verrrry lemony and undercooked. All the deserts are made in house, we got the tiramisu and it was eh. Bill came to $125 and we left kind of feeling ripped off.
Coming off a particularly difficult week, we decided to enjoy ourselves at Ferraros. After making comments of our long week to the waiter, he made sure we had a perfect evening and at the end, the manager came over to wish us well also. The food was tasty, the setting is wonderfully close to the ocean, live music just the right loudness and mood and as I said, the service exceeded even Four Seasons standards. Much mahalo to all at Ferraros for lifting our spirits and for treating kama'aina with love.
Really happy with Ferraro's. Asked for a table closest to the beach - and def got it. Waiter was awesome (cant recall name, but he really added to the experience). Food was very, very good. Always love Italian anywhere, but what a nice surprise in Maui. We were on island 5 days and ate at a lot of great places - but Ferraro's was the best, and it was not close.
Went here for my family Birthday, wouldn't do this again. Took a long time for the food to come, very long wait of over half an hour form first course to second course. Service left us alone most the time which made the wait feel much longer. The staff that fills the water was on it and did a good job! Won't return.
I'm also a concierge in Wailea.
This is a beautiful little restaurant surrounded by palm trees, tiki torches, garden lanterns, giant umbrellas, And wonderful ambience! We happen to make a magical reservation on Saturday when they have an extraordinary duo performing. The entertainment was marvelous, the waiter was darling and attentive, the food was unique and exceptional! We are big fish lovers and fell in love with the sword fish entrée. It’s absolutely out of this world! The only downside was the olive oil and bread. The bread was rather tough and the olive oil was not palatable for any of us. We opted for butter over the oil. We wish they serve the same olive bread that is served at Wolfgang Puck‘s just next-door.
Make a reservation, show up on time because a seat in this restaurant is very coveted, and enjoy yourself as this little restaurant to the gem!!
As a native Bostonian, I spent many years living in the North End and the pasta dish I had at Ferraro's was one of THE best ever. Perhaps it was the insane view, great acoustic music in the background, and exceptional server that helped to aid this notion, but it's absolutely worth the reservation if you're in Maui. All the pasta is handmade right there and they have a bunch of different entres if you're not in the mood for pasta. I would recommend making a reservation so that you're sitting at your table by the time the sun goes down. You won't regret it!!! On the expensive end, but I'd say worth every penny.
There are so many wonderful, wonderful restaurants to choose from in the Wailea area and we wish we chose another. We came to this one on the recommendation it is on the beach and the food is good. And the food is good, but we were also hoping for more than good. It is within The Four Seasons so you would assume it would be better than good. Basically, we had a reservation and had to wait 25 minutes before being seated. We received the table we wanted and the service was decent. The waitress was friendly, nice but seemed in a constant rush. The energy of the place is high turn-over. Nothing relaxing about it and maybe because it's in The Four Seasons and quite honestly the hotel felt aged, way overcrowded and over the top opulent. Gawdy if anything. Honestly, it felt like Vegas. Yup, we felt like we walked into a restaurant at the Bellagio, but in Maui. If you like Vegas...you'll like this restaurant and the hotel. If you're looking for a relaxing, high-quality meal, look somewhere else. And yes, we were staying at a different hotel, Hotel Wailea. We'll take that hotel and restaurant in heartbeat over this place. Cheers.
Although a pricier venue, you won’t be disappointed. It’s worth every dollar you spend. Views are amazing, service was excellent and the food was excellent. I had their home made ziti (all pasta is made in house) with sausage in fennel. The best pasta dish I’ve had in Maui yet.
This was truly a memorable experience. From the prompt seating service for which you must have a reservation for during peak dining hours to the playful almond cookie provided at the conclusion of your meal this restaurant is a winner . Request the lower deck which is right off the beach and you will be opportuned a sunset you won't soon forget. By dusk a live violinist adds pop to an already thrilling evening by playing today's top 40 which is a sensual touch if seeking romance . The culinary options and execution is unparalleled. A definite must eat location while in Maui.
The view of the sunset over the Pacific Ocean from our dining table was outstanding. The food was excellent; my husband and I split an order of the caprese salad and the lasagna. The server was pleasant, but forgot to bring my husband's drink and forgot to bring us a second serving of bread that she offered. The prices are astronomical: approximately $21 for the caprese salad and $37 for an order of lasagna that was just the right size for one person. There are many other places to dine on Maui with stunning views of the water and not near the level of sticker shock.
Very disappointing. Had heard such good things about this place we were so looking forward to eating there. Service was slow. Waited forever for drinks and longer for appetizer, which was terrible. Food tasteless. They did offer us another entreebut we didn't want to wait another half hour for new food. Only nice thing was waiter took one entree off the bill without us asking cause it was so bad. Too dark to see what we were eating. Would not go back even at half the price. Try Duo instead.
