Ferrari's Little Italy Ratings and Reviews
I have been here many times in the past and loved it but this was definitely my worst experience at the restaurant. The waiters did not seem to care much about our table and only came to get our orders and deliver us food. We had to practically chase them down for our check and they seemed happy to see us go. Wish the experience could have been better.
Great dinner on Mother's Day. They gave us a nice little table in the corner of a back room. They were very busy but were prompt in meeting our needs. My husband and I decided to split 2 meals, they offered to split them for us and served accordingly. The Filet with marsala sauce was tender and amazing. Mama's lasagna also very tasty. This is one of my favorites!
Every restaurant has a bad night -
Ferrari's was this past Saturday night. It took almost an hour and a half to get out entrees. Our server was great but, he doesn't make the food. We've been going there over 25 year years and I can't remember a bigger debacle. Everyone was waiting for their food.
Maybe because it was just my husband and me and they wanted to get the larger groups done first, I don't know. We ended up having them box it up and took it home (it was great Sunday night).
Easter dinner was terrible. Better dining experience at a Olive Garden or Maggianos. Short staffed. Large sign at front desk "hiring servers." Waited long period at reception desk to be seated. Finally had to walk around to bakery in search of employee. Food exceptionally bland, chop chop salad past it's expiration date, mostly wilted lettuce & pathetic microscopic ingredients. We shall never return to Ferrari's Little Italy.
Our group of retirees gathers here every month. Service is great; a delicious menu which offers wide variety of choices in a friendly atmosphere. The owner always stops to greet our group and makes us feel very welcome. We've been gathering here for several years so we are very happy customers!
Kudos to Stephanie our Server for her martini skills, recommendations, and prompt friendly responses to all requests! It was also a nice touch by the restaurant to have bread already on the table when we were seated. As always, Mama's Lasagna was excellent. You just can't go wrong with authentic Italian cuisine.
I guess I had high expectations for a family owned authentic Italian restaurant. My biggest reason for traveling to Ferrari's was for the "authentic" pizza crust. We had to wait for at least 45 minutes for the pizza, and when it arrived it was half cooked and the tomatoes where horrible, not to mention, I did not even taste the basil. We did not arrive at the high traffic hours, but it was early; 6 pm. My daughter had the tortellini florentine which had no flavor either. Very dissappointed...at least our waitress was kind and understood and took the price of the pizza off. I was really hoping for more.
Love this place. Food and Service are always good. Only reason did not give 5 stars for overall, was had to wait over an hour past reservation time. I know that it is not possible to control how long previous guest sit, after they finish (There were several guest just chilling). They also a had a large party taking up an entire dining room. We when got there (we were 15 minutes early), we were told your reservation is for 7:30 that will be about 20 minutes. Next people walk in and are told we are just now sitting our 7:00pm reservations so it will be a while ( why did they not tell us this). After waiting for 45 minutes past reservation they did offer drinks on them. They also took care of part of the bill for the long wait. Better communication during the wait would have helped. We have been to this restaurant previously and know this is not the norm. Will definitely dine here again.
Horrible service and reservation time not honored. Waited while there were open tables that were not cleared and a couple that came after us were seated. Manager did not apologize and catered to large table next to ours serving their drinks and ensuring they had great service. Have enjoyed going to Ferrari's in the past, unfortunately we will not be back.
We came to Ferraris for a business meeting and new we would have a good meal and wouldn't be disturbed. We were right! We each got something different and we're so happy - panini, salmon and egg plant were all served hot and at the same time. Too full to even try the outstanding dessert.
